Download the latest software from Asus support to your pc and extract the zip. Then copy to the root of your internal card of you tablet.
Then boot into recovery using trwp and install. Then when rebooted and set up use motochopper to root and then use Goomanger to reinstall twrp.

Thanks, but I have problem rooting device.
By installing drivers from Prestigio site it looks to me that ADB driver isn't installed and/or part of that drivers package.
When I connect device to PC while in USB debugging mode, in device manager (WIN7 x64) I see triangle in front of Other Devices -> Android Incorporated GSM Handset.
Adb also can't find any device.
Can you upload ADB drivers for PAP4500DUO or share link where you found them?

Yes. Device drivers are from Prestigio site:
http://yf2.value4it.com/Service_Files/Smartphones/PAP4500/PAP4500DUO_Drivers.zip
And ADB driver that is missing in official drivers is from:
http://adbdriver.com/upload/AdbDriverInstaller.exe
I don't know about Win8 64-bit and Win7 32-bit since I don't use them, but try as I did.

Hello,
could you please tell me if after booting up the CWM, recovery mode, the console screen appears upside down?
Can this be used on Pioneer P80W?
do you have recovery image for Pioneer P80W?
Thanks,

?
First time after i run mobileuncle and reboot to recovery, phone rebooted to CWM, but now it goes to orig. recovery? I tried to install again but then phone stops on the logo screen with small letters recovery mode. Any solutions? If I go with volume down + power button, same thing.

I solved the problem.
Just put recovery image on internal SD card, and that was it.

I used for non "T" model, but I think it is the same for both models.
At least they say in repair shop for prestigio that the software for both model are the same.
My non "T" was running stock 1.0.24 for "T" model, and now I'm on prescott v5.0. Both ROM's are for "T" model.
Best regards (pozdrav)
Hi, i have problem to rootking stock 4.1 rom,
4.0 - it was piece of cake, easy to root it with bin4ry, but after upgrade to 4.1 i cant do it,

Now unlock your device and confirm the restore operation.
Please look at your device and click RESTORE!
If all is successful i will tell you, if not this shell will run forever.
Running ...
Successful, going to reboot your device in 10 seconds!
error: device not found
Waiting for device to show up again....
Going to copy files to it's place

[Tutorial] Root Symphony W60 (MediaTek MT6575)

Here is the complete guide for rooting Symphony W60. It'll work on any MT6575 device. Tested by me on Windows 7.
Instructions:
1. First you need to download & install MT6575's driver on your PC. For this, install & run this app.
2. Now download & extract this package on your computer.
3. Connect your phone to PC with USB debugging option (Media Mode) enabled (Settings > Developer Options > USB Debugging > Enable).
4. Now click on "TPSparkyRoot.bat" from your extracted folder.
5. And then follow the on-screen instructions.
Tips: It'll reboot your device three times. After every single reboot, you need to wait until your device fully loaded again and connected to your PC automatically. After then you follow the programme instructions.
After last reboot, your phone will be successfully rooted. You'll get busybox installed, superuser access and you can do whatever you want to do like link2sd, reverse tethering etc..
Thank you very much, this is a very useful !:good:

I get it. Your device's bootloader is locked. So you need to flash custom recovery like CWM or TWRP, then root your phone. Try to find custom recovery for your device.

Nope. That is stock recovery. You need to use custom recovery. But you've a recovery at least, try to flash SuperSU binary files with that, can be worked.
Download this .zips, place them to your sd card (not in any folder) and flash them from recovery with "Apply update zip from SD card" option.

Is There....?

A straight forward guide on how to flash CWM .... ANYWHERE?
I dont feel I'm a noob.... I've flashed all my phones.... Elf, HD, HD2, Desire.... but this Xoom is about to go out the window!
The instructions to me read "boot to recovery and flash from SD card" ... how do I boot to recovery when thats what I'm trying to install?
I've tried Lord AIO and that will unlock the bootloader, but CWM install flashes past in under a second so I dont think its working... If I try the root it just says it cant find SD card... and of course CWM ROM manger wants Root access.... One click root wont work with UK Xooms...
Anyone got a straight forward guide.... ?:fingers-crossed:
UK Xoom running 4.1.2 wifi...
For example.... TWRP thread ....
Installation instructions (option 1)
Download zip file from link below
Place zip on Micro SDcard
Reboot into existing recovery
HOW? I'm trying to install my first recovery??????
Cold booting ODM? whats that??? I get that if I hold vol + & - together....
Or power and Vol - I get "Starting Fastboot protocol support" - it stays there until I reset it....
Here is how I rooted my xoom and install the initial custom recovery and the install TWRP recovery.
If you already unlocked your bootloader you can skip that step.
follow the directions here but instead of doing step 1 follow this for adb install http://www.support-4-you.com/main/i...ged-adb-installation&catid=40:how-tos&Itemid= it is a 1 click adb install then follow from step 2 on.
When you are done there you can install TWRP 2.4 touch screen recovery (a much better recovery than what you used to root.)
Download TWRP2.4 zip and put on the root of your external sd card. ( if you don't have a sd card we will do it another way just let me know)
Boot into recovery by turning your xoom off.
1. press power
2. when the moto dual core logo comes on wait 3 seconds and press volume down
3. recovery should be displayed across the top press volume up.
You can skip steps 1- 3 now that you are rooted if you download Quick Boot open it, select recovery and the grant Super user permission
4. go to install zip from sd card (just like when you rooted) and find the TWRP 2.4 Zip and install
5. reboot your xoom
6. you now have TWRP 2.4 recovery installed.
really appreciate your help but that still doesnt work....
C:\SDK\tools>adb reboot bootloader
'adb' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
C:\SDK\tools>
Or from the root....
C:\>cd sdk
C:\SDK>adb reboot bootloader
'adb' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
C:\SDK>
found the adb - its not in the root of SDK as the guide says.... but still wont flash....
C:\SDK\platform-tools>adb reboot bootloader
C:\SDK\platform-tools>fastboot flash recovery recovery-Tiamat-R4c-100611-1150-cwm.img
'fastboot' is not recognized as an internal or external command,

C:\SDK\platform-tools>
Spent hours on this now.... nothing
Its a UK GED Wifi Xoom... I bought it with ICS on and its done OTA to JB 4.1.2 - so I guess it has already had the bootloader unlocked... I've unlocked it again... so I dont know if that has caused problems...
I've tried following the guides but they seem very disjointed and not easy to follow, is it worth continuing? am I actually going to gain anything?
It would be nice to be able to overclock it as the Xoom is starting to show its age now.......
I'd be most grateful if anyone can help me.......
Google whether your phone can be bootloader unlocked. If it can then the best way (I think) to get cwm and root is to
unlock bootloader.
flash a kernel boot.img in fast boot which has cwm.
Flash a rom which has root

easy fix. The folder you have adb installed you need to put fastboot.exe and then run the fastboot command.
It sounds like you don't have all the files you need in the same folder.
did you run the one click adb install method I posted?
don't worry about he sdk part (like i posted use the one click adb install and then skip to step 2 of that thread).
If you follow the steps posted in that thread (skipping the sdk) you will be rooted. And then continue on with the rest of the steps I posted for inbstalling TWRP
Really appreciate your help dfib1.... but now I get....

error: cannot load 'recovery-Tiamat-R4c-100611-1150-cwm.img'
The disk image file is definitely on the SD card....
OK - I put the disk image in the same folder as the SDK_tools and it appeared to flash... I got..
C:\SDK_tools>fastboot flash recovery recovery-Tiamat-R4c-100611-1150-cwm.img
sending 'recovery' (3998 KB)... OKAY [ 0.650s]
writing 'recovery'... OKAY [ 1.283s]
finished. total time: 1.935s
But when I hit the vol - 3 seconds after the logo I get "Android Recovery" - I selected it with vol+ but I then get a an Android laying on his back with a red triangle...
that should have put the recovery on your xoom. Did you unlock your bootloader?
try this recovery twrp 2.4 download it and put it in the c:\sdk_tools folder and type
fastboot flash recovery TWRPv2.4.1.0.img
then try and reboot into recovery
Cheers dfib1 - managed to get the root done' but the Roms are shockingly bad compaired to stock....:crying:
What roms have you tried? My personal favorites are Black Bean 7 and EOS. The EOS is the smoothest rom I have used with a lot of options to customize it.

Running EOS4 nightly at the mo... probably gonna have to change it... the keyboard has issues and there appears to be alot of lag.... are you using EOS 3?
I am running eos4 right now. I do have the keyboard issue bur I just downloaded a new one from the market until they fix it. As far as the lag I have not seen it but I am also using apex launcher pro. Black bean 7 is having issues with the keyboard and data issues but a new release is coming soon to fix these.

1. Do we need Busybox on our devices?
2. Do we need to type the commands into a terminal app from the play store or on cmd of windows? (maybe a dumb question, because it looks Linux/Ubuntu-Like)
Thank you, a huge step forward!
I'm on V812
Thank you so much, now with this being how, how far are we from a TWRP version?
Great work! Thx a lot!
Semms to work even on an Onda v812. :good:
I've used Script Manager to install and reboot in recovery. So It's only a few button press task.
After install, you can use the regulare button press combination to boot in CWM while booting.

Busybox is already installed on our devices.but its old version.so you can update it with busybox from market.
if you use terminal app, you dont need to type first command.i.e "adb shell" .In command prompt in windows , you have to type adb shell to enter into android shell.
Root with SuperSu (not china ) but in us fr... (ok with V812 )

That's just greaaaaaat!!
thanks a lot!!
Thanks so much for this hariprasadiit. Installed perfectly.
@Hariprasaditt,
How much dev experience do you carry under you belt? There has been a few people here working hard trying to come up with something, yourself of course, and Arctablet. I've seen some others on androidtablet already coding somethings, but its for the Novo 9. I know the drivers for the screen is going to be different. They are almost finished with it already. Do you think any of their work would assist with us here? Also, I still haven't heard anything from Cyanogenmod, on my request. Thanks to everyone that supported it by the way .
Guauuuuuuuuuuuuuu.... it works!!! thks for your work!!! You´re in fire!!! thks!!!

If I can make a suggestion, Christian Troy here at XDA has some experience with some of the Allwinner CPUs. He ported CM over to multiple chinese branded tablet. Maybe he can added to the knowledge base.

As I posted before, yes it works in v812.
I've done a backup and restore without problems. So the other options should work too.
Now we need only custom ROM to flash.
Gamepad support and external bt would be fine.
@hariprasadiit
Do you think you will be able to reenable the full 1080 HD Recording for the back camera?
Also, has anyone seen any improvement to mic quality or may figured out a quick fix to increase mic quality?
@msav,
You opened your tab before correct? If so I was wondering if you would do it gain, I need to get some good detailed pics of the battery connector. I want to take the specs to a custom battery maker near my house and see how much it would cost to create a 10k mAh battery for the tablet.

Thanks for your hard work!
Not to be rude, why only cm10, wouldn't it be better to go straight to cm10.1 rather than having to update again in future?

[Q] Kyocera Hydro XTRM root help!!!

I have been all over the net, checked every forum, post, site I can find. But I still can't figure this out!! I have a Kyocera Hydro XTRM through MetroPCS. I'm trying to root it but for some reason can't figure it out. I've rooted numerous other phones and kindles, so I'm not new to this. I've tried several methods to no avail.
The predominant method I see is using Bin4ry's method as seen here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460
When I try it, all 30+ times, I have the same issues. Here is the data:

# drop SuperSU su to /system/xbin/su tells me "signature bugs unavailable" and just about everything else tells me "access denied". I can get into the shell, but not sure what to do there.
Framaroot did it!!!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2130276
Didn't work BUT...
It was because I followed the thread you pointed to and the attached files there, the latest version was 1.4.1 which failed. But I found 1.6.1 online and Gandolf worked! :good:
hydro xtrm cyanogen
Hello, I have a hydro xtrm and I have rooted it. There currently is not a clockwork backup for my phone, so I am hesitant to mess with it too much. I want to install a modified os , like cyanogenmod, because one: I want more control, and two, I just want to have fun with my device. My device is not currently supported by cyanogenmod, I know I can force the install, but I am not sure if it is safe. Has anyone done this? Any advice? I am very new to this world. Please help. My stock rom is android 4.2.1. I have metro pcs, and they will not update the device any more then that,so I am exploring other os's. Thank you
I have 4.1.2 how did you root it to 4.2?
