Why new Custom Rom doesn't work for my i9003 when everytime i install it?
However, after i install themes such as ICS-9lock on my device keep stucking at "samsung" logo and never boot into main screen. Can someone please help me?
This is how i did:
1) Put the "ICS-10lock-XWKPG_22.11.11" file into SDcard
2) go to Rom Manager > Flash into recovery mode (i choose i9000)
3) do nandroid backup & titanium backup
4) boot into recovery mode, select install zip. from SDcard.
5) choose zip from SDcard then install
After that the message show bellow>
Finding update package...
Verifing update package...
E.Failed to verify the whole-file sygnature
E:signature verification failed
Instalation aborted.
Then i choose
toggle signature verification
change from "enable" to "disable"
install zip. again message shown installation completed
wide dalvik cache in recovery mode,
After that, reboot system.
Once i reboot, i found out that my phone stuck in the "Samsung" logo... God, please help me !!
Currently my phone have been restart many time and flash so many time, i just want to get simple custom rom only. Amen...

I don't read every thread, and I don't know where you got this from. was it stated that this is in the format required for i9003, or did you just pick it up from somewhere else and try to install it?
if it's not for the i9003, then you have to re-flash some stock rom to fix your problem.
if it's for i9003, did you ensure you're using the same fw as was designated for the ics port? for example, is it for kpq and you're using kpq? if not, then you have to restore the backup you made before attempting this. if you forgot to do that, then you have to flash a stock rom to fix your problem. if they were matching and you're having problems, why not ask for help in the thread where you got it from?

Thanks for you review and comment.
First of all, i would like to stated that i have fully meet the requirement of flashing a custom rom. I'm user of KPQ of course i will find a custom rom for my i9003 KPQ. The purpose of this tread is to mention why every time i flashing a new custom would have the same problem occur whereby my device always stuck at the booting logo or reboot over and over again. This has make me troublesome to reflash back to stock rom when every time i failed to do that.
First, i root.
2nd, install rom manager
3rd, Flash CWM recovery
4th, do nandroid backup (use rom manager)
5th, application & data backup (use titanium)
6th, then istall .zip (custom rom)
Is't i missed any step before i flash a new custom rom??
What about deodex ?? it's necessary for us to deodex before we proceed to update our device?
However, i have fully meet all the requirement but why every time i flash different custom rom also failed.
Thanks again for your kindly advice

oops, first, I misread 9lock as clock
then, when flashing a custom ROM, in general, you must be deodexed first. if it's required, I would expect the dev to mention it in their thread. after flashing custom rom, you must also wipe dalvik cache. I don't know if it's necessary, but I do both dalvik and "plain" cache after flashing. have you done these two steps?
then, if you're installing the alpha ics release from the other thread, as stated, it's alpha, so not bug free. in general, custom ROMs will have at least one or two bugs, due to not every potential possible combination of operations can be performed without extensive testing and correction, and especially on our phone, the testing isn't so extensive since there aren't so many users.
edit: I found the thread you're referring to. it's "RC2", which means not necessarily stable (Release Candidate 2). go ask tripin for some help
Thank you for your advice.
Now i can taste my new themes with having a few tiny bugs. I'm so impress you can solve my problem. By the way, i will post up a new thread which guide other people to install custom rom for detail step. TQ

oops, my bad. as you can see, I was conversing with the OP, and this thread was actually for another specific problem, but since the title is a generality, here goes:
first, follow these steps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=19663863&postcount=754
then install cwm, put kishen's rom on your sd card, and flash and wipe normal and dalvik cache

1. You are now on old baseband and CM9 requires new.
Here is a tutorial on how to upgrade to the new one.
2. If you decide to install new baseband you also need to flash either a CM9 rom or a 2.3+ gingerbread one (cm7 based, stock 2.3.3, oxigen, etc - the first posts in the rom threads will tell you what baseband they need).

????????????????????????????????????????????
Step 1. Install custom recovery(CWM).
Download the app ROM Manager from market.
Select Install CWM recovery > Choose O1
The app will download the recovery file and flash the recovery. It will ask for superuser permissions in the process.Allow it.
Warning: If your phone has EDGE/GPRS and is inconsistent, don't use this method. Rom manager has a big fault wherein the downloaded recovery file is not checked for integrity, i.e. a lot of times rom manager has flashed incompletely downloaded recovery images and this has resulted in a fastboot brick for many users. There is a chance of a fastboot brick happening to you if you use this method on an unreliable data connection. You have been warned.
Step 2.Download cm-9.0.0-BLUEPILL-HEPHAPPY-
http://www.mediafire.com/?vzhgaq6g3jprrym
Download gapps
http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip
Step 3. Copy the zip files to your sd card.(Don't extract them).
Step 4. Reboot into recovery.
This can be done by turning off the phone and then holding home+vol down+power. To navigate in recovery:
Menu key = Go down
Home key = Go up
Back key = Go back
Search key (rightmost) = Select the highligted option
Step 5.Select Backup/Restore.
Then select backup and let it sit and backup the phone.
Step 6.On the first menu, select 'Wipe data/factory reset'
And under advanced> wipe dalvik cache.
Step 7. Go back to the first menu and select install zip from sdcard. Then select choose zip from sdcard. Browse to the directory where you copied (or downloaded) your rom to. Select the file of your rom, and select yes. Let your phone flash the rom.
Step 8.Flash GAPPS and reboot.
Can anyone tell how to flash permenent cwm recovery i have bricked phone thrice because i cant take backup of my rom please help
Since sony phones don't have recovery partition, you wont have 'permanent ' recovery..
But you can flash a split kernel, with recovery in it. Then you will have recovered as long as you don't flash a new kernel, or return to stock.

You surely can use the likes of X parts or such apps to get temporary recovery however for a permanent cwm -the only solution remains to flash a custom kernel(.img file extension)
Then you'd not have issues doing the flashing stuffs
Cheers
Have a read of this thread carefully

i know how to setup stock rom from odin , it's very easy
but i really can't get how setup custom rom
andi don't know any thing about custom rom ,
and hope any one tell me how to do and explan it to me simpely , not good in english
and tell me the best custom rom that i can use it every day and work fine and fast , and get links for me
i speak arabic & i'm not good in english , sorry for my bad english guys
All custom roms for android 4.x have few bugs. So, if you are okay with that, I will suggest installing CM11. It works nice except for few bugs here and there.
But, if you prefer a fully stable rom, you have to stick with android 2.3.6. In that case, I will suggest FlyOnGB rom. Also, you can try doing a factory reset and see if that helps.
CM11: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2534312
FlyOnGB: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2353292
As for setting up odin, you can use it only to install md5 or tar files. nearly all custom rom are uploaded as zip file, and are to be flashed from recovery mode. You will need to copy the zip file to phone, and boot into recovery using Vol Up + Home + Power key. Of course, you will need to root your phone to go into recovery mode.

Custom roms are already rooted, so you don't need to do anything on them. To root a stock rom, you need to flash the cf-root for that particular rom, and then restart the phone. Use this link to download the cf-root file. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1331253
To flash the cf-root file, first you need to flash the stock rom, and restart the phone. Then you can use Odin to flash the cf-root just like you flash a rom.
Google apps are your default android apps (play music, maps, google search and such). You don't need these necessarily, as you can download them from play store too. Few roms have bugs with play store apps, therefore they give you modified version of them in that thread.
If you want to flash the google apps, you can do it just like you do it for custom rom. After installing custom rom, just reboot to recovery mode. Now, select the google apps zip file, and install it the same way you installed the custom rom.
If you are stuck, follow the steps from those link as it is. Use this link for more help. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1894737
