Hey guys, I'm running cm7 on my nexus s 4g and sometimes when the screen is off the soft key backlight comes on. Wondering if I'm the only one with this issue.

I think that is the BLN (back light notification)
It's suppose to come on when the screen is off if you have a text message or something like that.
Look for an app on the Market called "BLN" to turn it off

Ever since I updated to ics no matter what ics rom it is when I press the back button the app exits back to my launcher. I've reflashed/clean installed roms and still the same thing.
Is anybody else experiencing this or found a fix around this?

Mine was doing this too. I went into developer options and un-checked "Don't keep activities" and it seems to work fine now.
Give that a shot.
Sent for my bathroom, with toilet paper.

My Tbolt seems to have lost its ability to vibrate on calls, texts, notifications or whatever else would make it vibrate. Even when changing the ringer volume to vibrate it doesn't work like it used to. About 10% of the time it works. Also I noticed the back lights on the 4 capacitive buttons aren't lighting up when they should. They randomly come on and off sometimes. Is this a sign of some hardware issues and as a result do I need to get a replacement or can someone help me out? Thanks!

Assuming you're rooted, try another Rom. If it is still not working, then yeah it might be a hardware issue.
Also, WIPE everything. Format the system partition as well.
Oh and uh, GO CANES!!

I'm stock rooted. Might have to go back to liquid gingerbread like I was before. I'll give a reset a go. Thanks!

For some roms there are options to turn off the lights for the 4 soft keys and also disable vibrate. So thats another possibility

You need to reflash your kernel
I have had the exact thing happen and it was a bad kernel from dev or a bas flash

I'm using Samsung Galaxy S i9000
CM10 ROM, Android 4.1.2.
Just wondering why my screen doesn't light up after receiving an SMS?
Is there an option to turn it on? Because all I've managed to light up when I get an SMS is "Menu (or Options, don't know which is more accurate)" and "Back" buttons.

Is that possible? I don't think so!
Well, now I checked the option to wake and unlock the phone when I receive SMS, it was okay for like 10 messages, but now it just wakes up for a very short moment.
