Chapeau Uber

Lovely so see it building and working now for you
I was a little scared if some of the files were missing when I zipped them up earlier.
Ahh now its time for me to be a "regular" user and download and flash away when there are updates instead of compiling a new release and flashing it on my N7
Edit: Works perfectly

I was waiting for this since I got my nexus 7 !!!
I've flashed it and it's working great ! you've just made my day

hi!
I'm downloading this ROM and I'm trying it.. I always read positive comments about rasbeanjelly and I really hope I'll like it..
just a question, please: what about battery? And - it's not an ETA request - will you go on with this project?
thanks a lot, see ya!!

Don't have a Tilapia so i can't comment on the battery life.. surely someone else will. But yeah i plan on compiling for the foreseeable future... as long as i get some decent downloads.

Thank you for bringing this to Tilapia. It's a clean and very stable rom. I like it very much. As for battery life a can't say much because I changed two Kernels and I didn't get a full battery cycle yet. It's like 10%/hour screen on (browsing and reading). Idle battery drain is 0 until now
I will post some screenshots soon as I'll have I full battery cycle.

I just flashed the ROM and I'm actually trying it.. first things I noticed is tat till now rasbeanjelly is the only custom ROM which has the mobile tile working!!
another question, if you please: I don't know original rasbeanjelly ROM, so I'm wondering if it will always be so essential or there are still some options missing..
thanks a lot!!

Was dubious about installing this as not many comments but as op is well known I gave it a try out. Good as any other roms I have used tho this is my first on the Nexus 7. Battery life is very good. Still on stock Kernel. Keep up the good work.

It'll always be essential. As rascarlo likes to keep things slim. Not too much... Not too little, just enough I always think.

Maybe, if there is enough interest for it. But i doubt it as there is a moderate amount of interest in this version.

Is vanilla rasbean similar to Rootbox with many customization options? If yes, I am very interested. Running rootbox on my Note 2 LTE and love it but there is no tilapia version.
Using your released ROM now and so far so good. I`m downloading new update now. Thanks.

We are offering 1.4 both odex and deodex. Keep in mind, most themers theme deodex ROMs.

Its aosp. They all work.
Downloading now.
I achieved a Quadrant score of 1460 with the last build. I'll report back after flash and restore.
Great job man. I'm just curious. Did you odex post-build or did you compile Rom with an odex option? Ive been playing with Rom building for some time now and have only messed with sense. I managed to build a stock aosp Rom the other day but would like to learn more about aosp building. Feel free to pm because I feel this post is off-topic. Thanks man.
Now that I have root again I might have to give this a go (would be first aosp Rom).

will there be any updates to the kernal? I'm not sure if HTC releasing source code changes anything...
Also does this rom still have the problem with the sensors that plagued the cm and deck roms?
Hmmm... No Go. After several attempts installing the fedex version; I restored V1.3. I was never able to boot past the htc EVO 4G screen.

Being an AOSP ROM, these do not rely on the HTC kernel code release. There are any of several fine kernels to choose from, so its virtually always possible to find one that your phone likes.
Regarding the 'problem with the sensors', can you elaborate on that? I've used a couple versions of the Evo-deck ROM and have yet to experience any issue.
I look forward to trying this ROM! For some reason, I couldn't get the 1.3 to run on my phone, but that could have been a bad download or similar issue. I was just too busy at that time. But I read so much good about the SalvageMod...I gotta give it a go!
Thank you for your time.
P.S: Thank you for offering the community both odex and deodex versions! I love themes, but the odex ROMs run way quicker on my phone.
Looks good I'll give it a try later.
Thanks lit.

I noticed there was a 1.4 deodexed Gapps package, but I didn't see one for 1.4 odexed.
I am assuming to use the odexed gapps that were already posted, but wanted to double check.

Ah, I did run into this problem occasionally. I also found that when I would press the power button to wake the phone up when asleep I had to hold the power button down for a few seconds or it wouldn't wake up. I was using the SZ 2.2.1 kernel at the time, and later found that I experienced these things when using the smartass or SavageZen governors. I switched to InteractiveX and didn't experience them any more.
Thank you for your time.
Dang, lithid, I was just about to flash & test your kernel with the Synergy RLS-1 rom and then I saw this: Salvage-Mod 1.4....I was like, "WHAT!" ...Oh well, your new kernel can wait...hahaha.......flashing the latest Salvage-Mod cannot wait. Thank you.

It really cracks me up that this rom is the lightest possible and weighs in at just over a half a gig. LOL.
That being said, this rom seems great so far, although it's only been a few hours. I actually picked up my phone a few weeks ago and immediately rooted it and threw Paranoid on it. Loved it, but it just wasn't ready yet...I had daily issues. Then, I was reading a thread by Morfic on his Trinity Kernel and wondered why it was for Touchwiz only. He said it just worked better and that CM based roms 'weren't ready'.
He was right. I switched to CleanROM and noticed it ran exceptional. I just throw HoloLauncher or Apex over it and it's close to AOSP, or at least close enough until they get the issues out.
Anyway, this rom is titties, IMO.
Thanks, Scott!

I think we just found your next roms tagline.
I just don't understand why CM is trying to support so many devices. Their roms are almost unuseable most of the time. Any ways not the place to discuss. I'm waiting for user reports before jumping on. Its always a pain to wipe everything and set up everything to my liking again.

What is King Kang?King Kang is essentially a hybrid ROM - its a mixture of AOKP, CyanogenMod, and ParanoidAndroid, bringing all their customizations to one rock solid and quick ROM. These numerous features combine to create a blend of features not seen anywhere else before. Make the user interface yours with this ROM. Change the DPI the ROM runs at, tweak the interface to your hearts content, while enjoying great battery life and stability. Never before have these features combined to create a ROM as feature-packed as King Kang. Credits for the features goes directly to the teams responsible - AOKP and CM for their respective work, and ParanoidAndroid for their wonderful DPI on-the-fly modifications. Without these teams, this ROM would not be possible.

Information
Some AOKP features power over the ParanoidAndroid ones. For example, in order to get Tablet UI, you first need to check the "Tablet UI" option in ROM Control, then change it to the desired mode in Paranoid Android, and then reboot.
This ROM began as a creation by DAGr8 for Android 4.0, ICS. It offered a simple AOKP + PA combination.
The ROM is currently being built 100% from source. The "team", a.k.a. people maintaining and adding features from other ROMs is currently myself and DAGr8. Without the other teams though, this ROM would be nothing.

CWM has been known to randomly wipe our devices /sdcard partition. If you haven't had any issues with it though and you want to keep using it, thats fine. Just be aware that it may happen.

Should be one soon, as soon as I fix that bug for some of you. I may have to revert to stock voltage values since I believe that the undervolting is the cause behind it.
Should be up now! http://code.google.com/p/kingkang/downloads/list
Go and download it, and give me your thoughts!

To answer the question about inverting GApps. That can be accomplished through a theme such as the cobalt series or the evolution reborn theme. Both are free on the Play Store. I can find links if anyone wants them. Just seems an easier way rather than flashing a new GApps package.

I have enabled ART and it works fine so far. Steps - Install full + gapps, Reboot. Install both OTA updates + gapps. Enabled ART. Reboot + wait 10 minutes for everything to finish.

Diego
been running this ROM for a few days now, it's very nice, first question I have is,any recommendations for boosting performance? been reading a few threads and have opted for ROW in I/O and tried switching to performance mode, any suggestions?

The only other thing I could suggest would be setting the min CPU to 475. That seems to make quite a bit of difference for myself.
How does this ROM compare in performance compared to Cromix ROM? Is battery life on par with cromix and how well does memory management work (free RAM)?

i would love to be able to say its better than Cromi-X but it would be like comparing apples to oranges.. I would also say Im a little bios as, I do dev for CMB roms, lol.... Battery life is great, performace is getting better as 4.4 has only be live for 2 mouths now... Free ram is 390 MB (on the newest build).... Thx for you feedback and great questions... Thx lj

Well said :good: CROMi-X as you said is much more mature and is on a much more solid base - although I am being tempted to dev a 4.4.2 based rom (out of boredom!) lol. Maybe I should pimp up CMB a bit

New OTA
I am uploading a new OTA for our beloved 700's.... This on can be install as a stand alone or a OTA... Let me know if there is anything out of the ordinary.. We are working on the inviable text in users.. There are a few other things we are working on, so just let me know if there is anything that is not as it should be.... Thx lj

I would say for being a child this rom is coming alone nicely....I would as an outsider which I am not I would give it a 8 out of 10 for overall goodness.... If stability is what you want your in the right place... As you read in the dev forum sbdags is running it on a 4.2.1 kernel which much mean the rest of the rom is solid....That just my input!!!!!Thx for the question in the correct forum...As always thx lj

[ROM][4.4.4][Unofficial] CarbonROM Source Build

Hey fellow Atrix 2 users, here's my first ROM built from source: Carbon. I realize that there is s port already form the hard working A2EPT (and much faster than myself!). I built this a few weeks ago and thought I'd share it anyway (with their consent). It runs prettys smooth and has been trouble free for myself, hopefully it's the same for you!

It is using CM's kernel but I read that altered was making more changes to it over the last couple of days so I might be missing some of them. My machine is syncing some sources for another ROM at the moment, I'll rebuild it this afternoon and post it.

I ran it with jbx for a bit and it worked fine. I think it's on par with the other roms for battery life. It's hard for me to tell though as my battery is terrible. I ordered a new one last week.

In Apps/Running Services there is a "Carbon Delta" process always running. I don't see something similar in other Roms ?

You wouldn't see it in other ROM's because it's specific to Carbon. I believe it's related to their OTA updates. I just disabled it on my phone and everything is fine. Maybe I can look into disabling it out of the box.
I used Link2sd to freeze it and everything works ok. I'll keep it frozen for a few days just to make sure.

Just posted 4.4.4. I sounds like it's just security updates. Carbon has made some minor changes as well. Enjoy!

Alright friends, I posted a new build. It took a while longer than I'd have liked, I accidentally trainwrecked my data drive a few weeks ago and I finally got the time to rebuild it. It wasn't so much that it took a long time to restore it, work just got in the way Enjoy!
