Realook - Cheap alternative to Spigen GLAS.t

Just got my Realook SP for my S4, and it looks amazing so I thought I would share: Link to Amazon
I have used a Realook SP since my Vibrant and have always been happy with them. Spigen SP's look awesome (never used on personally), but for those of you looking for a good glass-feeling SP for less than 1/2 the price of a Spigen, I highly recommend this.
One thing I don't like about some SP's (including Spigen) is when it drops below the earpiece, making the SP more noticeable. The Realook wraps around the earpiece, making it virtually unnoticeable. Installation was a little tricky due to the SP being such a tight cut, but once installed you can't even tell its on:

I always appreciate other's opinions on accessories for our phone, so I figured I'd throw mine in.

It feels the same as glass and looks good - that's the point I was making. The Glas.t looks sweet, but it's a little pricey and this is a good alternative.

How is it with smudging and fingerprints? Is it better than the plastic spigen ones if you have any experience with those.

Yeah, you should rename the thread title...
You can't compare apples and oranges. Plastic Screen protectors are NOT glass screen protectors.
You should say... "alternative to sgp ultra crystal screen protector" or something.

Final point that makes this thread ??? is that Spigen ultra crystal clear plastic is $6.99 on Amazon and covers everything except for the camera hole.

Tempered glass screen protector after light scratches

Is there really any point in me getting a screen protector after I have light scratches? They don't effect visibility or anything I just don't want to get a screen protector and then have bubbles because of it. Any suggestions would be great.

Well, spider webs and bubbles can't be avoided when you use screen protectors! You could use your nails to get rid of them but they are going show up every now and then depending on the usage.
The only time the screen would get scratched is when it's in your pocket or obviously if you put the device upside down constantly...
I would suggest using a pouch or a flip cover.. it would take care of the pocket part... however, if you drop the device down, the chances of screen shatter goes high whether your protected or not

I have a tempered glass protector that looks and feels perfect... no bubbles no spider cracks.. cheap insurance and feels naked

On a plastic screen protector, the bubbles are caused by scratches and / or dust protruding from the screen and bending the protector away from the screen. Surely this isn't nearly as possible with Glass?

Does Gorilla Glass Coating worn off?

Good day everyone!
I just have concern regarding the screen of my Nexus 5.
I have attached a screen protector back then but not for long so my phone's currently bare. I think this is another con for screens if used with gorilla glass alone and not protected. (Aside from sapphire and other harder objects can scratch it)
I noticed the different touch feel on a certain spot (fingerprint-size). I feel like touching a pure glass, it does squeek when wiped. You do not feel the smooth touch on other areas without it.
The spot is visible when slightly wet wiped.
Could this mean that gorilla glass coating can really get worn off? Though it can be used with screen protector, some are comfortable with no screen protector attached.
This photo is not my phone, only a reference from the internet but you can refer to it as it shows exactly the same with my concern.

Unfortunately the oleophobic coating will eventually wear off on any device.

yes as mentioned the oleophobic coating will wear off. you can use a tempered glass screen protector such as the Spigen Glas.tR which are oleophobic to get the smoothness back.

I use a matte cause it feels great!

I've read that oleophobic coating is for oil repellant and is different to Gorilla Glass. So this area is still scratch resistant, right?

I have the exact same problem on my Nexus 5. Bottom centre is a haze area where a sort of stain lights up when viewing the screen at an angle in a source of light. Probably because of swype.

[Q] IllumiShield S6 HD Screen Protector

Call me a Sammy fanboy if you may, here I am who jumped into the wagon and join others who are so eager to get S6 and was oblige to get a screen protector to protect this $700+ device. I’ve ordered IllumiShield screen protector from Amazon, because at that time it was really selling relatively cheap and also the product has nice review. I’ve received it recently and was totally satisfied. Easy to apply, stick and peel kind of thing, no damn water spray or special potion to use during application. Result was smooth, feels like glass, and does not look like thin saran wraps or so. Easy to take off and re-apply. For stubborn hair and specks of dust, the masking tape did its job wonderfully. So, there’s my new found screen protector.

Yup I am using it too. I tried two tempered glass screen protectors (iSmooth and a generic brand) and they both had some serious halo effects due to the nature of the curved screen on the phone. Too bad, I really like glass screen protectors, but I don't think that it's possible on the S6.
I used illumishield for the Surface pro 3 and it was perfect so I tried it for the S6 and it is almost perfect. You have to get it on exactly in order to avoid the halo effect but it works and it works well.

Yep. The key is to do the installation properly. It takes time to master it but its worth it.

Review: Aliexpress Liquid Glue Tempered Screen protector (Whitestone Dome clone)

Hi All, I bought a few of these Note 9 "Full screen" liquid glue tempered glass screen protectors and they arrived a little while ago.
The first issue was that the instructions are not clear and are pretty hard to understand, they mention "Place the sticker over the hole in the handset. Stick the key hole with a label." which I assume means I should put a sticker over the speaker but there is no included sticker for this purpose, I had to use one of the dust removal stickers for this purpose but this turned out to be a bad choice as sticker is too big and if any part of it that is under the screen, when you remove the sticker, it will pull glue out from under the screen with it (as seen in the photo below) and also the glue made it separate and glue got underneath it, thankfully there was no damage to the speaker.

The other issues are that it was advertised as a "Full screen" screen protector but it clearly isn't, as shown above and below and finally, within a couple of days of it being installed, dust was getting under all 4 corners, so I removed it as I was concerned the screen could be scratched.
I suspect that this would make a decent top up kit for someone that has already got a Whitestone Dome kit but that's about it, not recommended.
Sadly the Gorilla Glass 5 on the Note does not appear to be the same a other phones with Gorilla Glass 5, I already have scratches on the screen whereas my LG V30 that I used for 9 months prior is still almost flawless.
