replace the rom you want with a rom of your choosing.
also, it pays to read into things before asking others. If you investigated this forum your would find a whole section dedicated to android development for the desire, and guides on how to root and flash new roms. From the sounds of it, you are not quite ready to root your desire. Read up more on the process.

You are referring to custom roms? you will find that with many of the custom roms, they are faster because they are stripped out versions...that will allow you have more options to choose from.
Faster? maybe because many of the gimmicks are gone....I am using DeFroST 5.6 on my HTC Desire at the moment...its faster than the original HTC rom because it doesnt have the HTC applications or the HTC Sense UI...give that a try...pretty happy with it!

i recommend leedroid and install it using rom manager available from the marketplace. or if you dont want htc senc the any of the cyanogenmod roms i.e opendesire

there is nothing like cm7 phone or sense phone. You can chose whatever u wish to install in your phone. look in desire hd development section and read how to root and then install custom roms( custom roms = cm or sense rom) . you have a lot of reading to do . try asking questions in the appropriate thread rather then making a new thread.

I am looking at getting the wife a MT4G (no slide) and was just wondering if all the ROMS and S-OFF stuff will work for it just as well?

The guides and ROM's for the Slide will not work for the MT4G. That being said, the regular MT4G (as long as you are talking the HTC version) has its own section with instructions for root and S-off and has one of the larger ROM selections for T-mobile phones.

This may be an oversite on my part but i dont see it. I found one for Glacier MT4G but not tmous MT4G.
here is a quick list of roms not all but a good bit roms and s-off will differ per mytouch and my touch slide not compatable
1.virtuous fusion rom
2.honeyogen one rom
3.no nonsencse rom
4. synergy rom
5. ics aosp rom
6.insomniacs nightmare rom
7.blackice rom
8. rcmix3d runny rom
and many more s-off depends on device alpharev 1.8 or x your best bet

And there is no best rom out here. Everybody has he's own opinion roms. Just Find And Flash roms and find your suitable rom for yourself! like i did . And there are many posts about this. you can see people opinions about other roms :good:

There are loads of roms out there and each of them are different and have their own pros and cons. There is no such thing as "The best rom" or "bug-free rom". Each rom is different in its own way so you have to try me out and use the one which suits you best. I know about HTC explorer index thread and in this thread more than 130+ Roms,I am not capable for test everyone Rom therefore I was created this thread.
test more than 10 Roms after create this thread.
