My phone is very slow. Apps like text messages or even opening the app drawer takes 2-5 seconds. It wasn't like this when I got the phone. I RARELY use the phone at all because it's so slow. I use it mainly as an mp3 player, not a phone.
I uninstalled Go Launcher to see if that would help, nope.
I only have like 15 apps, uninstalled half of them, did not help.
So I tried rooting to test something like Cyanogen mod Nightly 10 to see if it would speed up and remove bloatware.
Rooted with Mega_Tron Windows. Took 10 minutes because the phone takes so long to reboot.
Get on rom manager and flash with the SPECIFIC LG O3D tool, not rom manager. Make back up.
Install Cyanogen mod.
What happens? Cyanogen mod spinning ball of death for 2 minutes then phone turns off.
LG screen get stuck. Not able to go to recovery.
So I have to use LG Mobile tool to reset the phone back to Gingerbread stock. Reinstall Rom Manager, GO back to my backup and try again.
What happens this time?
Spinning Cyanogen death ball. This time is actually makes it to the welcome screen. Then I click the app drawer and the phone turns off.
Stuck at LG screen. Can't enter recovery.
So now I must repeat the process for the 9th time. Yes 9 times, although I only typed here that I did it twice I have spent nearly 7 hours trying to get this working.
Please recommend a mod that won't fail like Cyanogen and will hopefully improve the speed off my phone.
My phone specifically is the LG Thrill 4g AKA LG Optimus 3D.
Rogers carrier, Gingerbread stock, v20c base band dec 2011.

you have to install wkpark 1.25a in order to use the cm10 roms............flash the attached files in recovery in order to make it work
follow these steps
(i recommand to refer xbsall thread and install his large partation bin file which comes pre-rooted and with twrp recovery)
1. install official ICS bin file from lg flashtool if you dont have
2. then flash the attlached file in recovery
3. after rebooting flash any rom that you want........it will work for you
Don't Forget To Press Thanks If I Have Helped
right now I can't even get to the main screen.
I recovered to Gingerbread with LG mobile tool and it just keeps looping at the rogers screen.
this is worse than before I need my phone working again.
just follow the instructions posted above by ptlsajan and you'll be allright.
You don't need to get to the homescreen to recover the phone, you should recover to an ICS kdz/bin (v28b or 30a) instead of GB, then you fastboot wkparks1.25a bootloader and recovery, and then you can install and boot pretty much any ics/cm10 rom you want.

oh yes :good:
What is the LG flash tool? Like I said I cannot even get to the recovery screen.
The LG Mobile Tool / LG recovery tool is useless now. Before I could reset the phone to Gingerbread and it would unroot and go back to normal. Now I cannot get past the Rogers loop screen.
Also when trying the LG Mobile Tool is tried to update to ICS and failed every time.
If it keeps failing do you see SW screen with GREEN dot in the middle?
So you go into download mode by adb(pc) ?
I never saw a green dot.
When the phone screwed up from root. I turned on it while running LG Mobile Tool. When to recovery and entered my S/N.
Then it started the download and update process. It installed Gingerbread and then says 'Continue to update to ICS' or 'Press stop if just want Gingerbread.'
If I tried ICS it would go halfway and say update failed or it would say you already have the latest version, EVEN though it told me there was ICS update.
NOW I CANNOT EVEN USE LG MOBILE TOOL. I am stuck at Rogers loop screen.
Firstly, be sure you use the same DLL as the one on your phone's IMEI ID sticker (for example P925 = P925 DLL), and after flashing the OS, try running fstrim - apparently bad TRIM garbage collection can wreck the phone (happened to me, now after trimming, it's faster). Also, if it doesn't work, get OMAP4 flash utility and remove the battery and plug USB in first then flash new BIOS (there's tutorial on installing the driver for the pesky OMAP4 bootloader), and then flash with LG flash tool as usual (power + volume up).

I am not sure what you are talking about.
I can't use the LG Mobile Tool anymore to go back to Gingerbread.
Where exactly do I start here?
I still need help with this.
I went to the sticky and some of the download links are dead.
The first download link contains a trojan.
I ran it through virustotal which detected it on Symantec and Avast which are good anti-virus. I use avast and scanned it and it detected. I also ran it through a sandbox.
So why am I being told to download viruses?
*sigh* Some rooting tools are false positive so I don't really trust anti-viruses. I use AVAST! anti-virus and ALL anti-virus cannot tell the difference between legit softwares (like Megatron or Super One Click) and nasty viruses. And here's the DLL (this one is from KDZ I extracted for P925).
Superoneclick nor megatron are detected as viruses on my computer.
This one immediately gets blocked after installing.
you sure about that?
The guy could have edited the link since so many people are having problems. could be key logging people right now.
Ah..... Try xbsall's unbrick guide. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1942836 and read carefully. I think you will have better chance of unbricking it. And I apologize for the response - what you said made me wonder about previous link so I looked and found another guide - by an obviously experienced ROM developer.
Sent from my LG Thrill 4G (PAC-man 4.1) using XDA app
nope also contains a virus it's the exact same file.
It's trying to alter Microsoft C+.
Not taking the chance getting keylogged and my bank information stolen.
I will wait until someone else post's another method to unbrick the phone.
Just use OMAP4 flash utility... -____- It doesn't even alter anything, I use this and other tools plentiful of times - if I was not to use those, my phone would still be bricked. And LG have been keylogging us for a while (look in /system/app - you will find MLT.APK there).
Sent from my LG Thrill 4G (PAC-man 4.1) using XDA app
doesn't work.
'waiting for OMAP4xx" device doesn't do anything 2 minutes holding volume up.
someone please help I need this phone working tomorrow. It's been dead for 2 days and I have no other way to make calls.
Remove the battery then plug USB in - that's the only way to get the tool to start flashing the BIOS update. When it starts, quickly insert the battery and reboot the phone after it is done. Again, carefully follow the instruction.
After it's done, start up your usual flash tool with volume up and reflash the desired firmware.
Sent from my LG Thrill 4G (PAC-man 4.1) using XDA app
I did follow the directions.
There is no OMAP4430 in device manager. I clicked show hidden devices. There is no 'other devices.'
Hold volume up, insert battery and nothing happens.

I need some help to unbrick my Rogers branded O3D P925g. I was able to root it and manually install the camera mod from erosized. Then i tried manually installing the performance pack and when i rebooted its looping at the Rogers screen. Can i use the unbrick method from the p920? Thanks again.

I had mine bricked as well and this method worked great for getting it back.
Step 1: Get the newest KDZ file for your phone/carrier. I got mine from here:
http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=xxxxxxx
Where xxxx is enter the IMEI of your phone which is found under the battery.
Step 2: follow the instructions here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1186406\
This will bring it back from pretty much any state. Mine was not even booting up to the LG Logo and this restored it.
Good Luck.
Just fixed mine. Use LG Update Tool, Click on Customer Support and then Recovery Phone. Enter your IMEI number and it will completely wipe the phone contents and install the newly released v20c BB and software. This process took me about 20 minutes and then an additional 10 min or so to boot into the OS. Worked flawlessly with my SIM and microSD still in the phone. Didn't loose any data from my microSD either. Got 4G back as well. Note that rooted state will be removed and CWM Recovery will be replaced with Android Recovery.
Same Problem no resolution
I have the same phone and when I use those links I cannot get anything to show up no matter how i enter the information.
My phone is stuck on the lg screen and it wont boot up. could someone give me a link to LG P925G stock firmware or some method of unbricking my phone. i have't had much luck.
all because I used Rom Manager too.
I cannot even go into recovery mode is my phone totaly bricked? I need some tips.

here is the most easy and straight-forward way I discovered to unbrick or overcome any flashing error no matter what it is (it applies to lg o3d, and thrill 4G, I think it will apply to their fellows)
1-you must have drivers installed of-course
2-remove your battery
2-open your pc device manager and look at COM and PORT section
3-hold volume up button (only) and connect your mobile to pc through USB while pressing this button, and keep pressing until you see a new port has been added and installed in your COM and PORT section (about 15-20 sec), now you can release the button, be sure that port will stay apparent after releasing the button, or repeat this step (with longer press on volume up button)
4-put your battery back and don't touch your phone again
5-now start flashing by following these 2 tutorials in order:

b-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1327929

Hey ppl! I messed up my phone and I need some help. I have a G2x and I recently rooted it using the root.zip I found on one of the forum threads here. It worked fine and I flashed over to Eagleblood 2.5 and I didn't notice when I downloaded it that it didn't come with the google apps. I couldn't figure out how to get the google apps back into the phone since market wasn't installed. I tried downloading it but the phone kept telling me I don't have an SD Card being that I don't have an external one yet. Yes, I could have just downloaded it on pc and then transfered market apk via usb but I couldn't find the option to activate usb which was weird. Usually when you plug in your usb cable the driod icon pops up. So instead of flashing back using the backup I made on CWM I used nvflash and then used that LG tool to install V21E_00.kdz to install Gingerbread again. That's where everything messed up. I no longer was getting a cell signal and the battery icon had a ? in it. I assumed that the installation went bad to i did the process again with the nvflash and the V21E_00.kdz file. I got the same results again. I managed to get the wifi working again cause it wouldn't connect and downloaded cm7 7.1.0.1 to see if it would fix the problem. I flashed over and got the same results on cm7. No cell signal and battery icon screwed up. I gave up and did a full wipe and tried to install Gingerbread again. This time my pc wasn't reading my phone anymore when I connected it to the usb to use the LG tool to install V21E_00.kdz. Now my phone is in a cm7 boot cycle. If my phone is broken just tell me so I can dump it. My friend warned me about the G2x and I didnt listen cause I was in a hurry to get a nice phone. Any input and help would be greatly appreciated. If you guys need more info on anything please ask. If I can salvage this hunk o' junk I'm getting rid of it.
This phone is unbrickable damn near, have you tried the rom for recovery in development section? It will low level nvflash your phone to GB OTA 2.3.3 good luck.

Great! Thanks for the help. The phone is somewhat alive but I still have no cell signal and my battery icon has a question mark in it again. I was reading on that thread you linked me mentioning to do a firmware upgrade using the kdz file or LG Tool. Do I have to flash the firmware to get the cell signal working and the battery icon to work? If so, where do I get the firmware to flash?
To fix the boot loop cycle just boot back into clockworkmod recovery and do a factory reset, wipe cache, Dalvik cache, and then reboot and give it several minutes (first boot takes a little longer).
Or since you said you have a backup, just boot into clockworkmod, do a factory reset, format /system, and then restore your backup.
Again, the first boot always takes a little longer.
Thanks phburk I managed to get the phone working again with the flash.bat file from the link posted but I still dont have cell signal and battery icon has a question mark in it. I'm trying to download and use the LG Update Tool to see if that flashes the firmware to get the cell signal and battery icon working again.
The LG Update Tool fails at 30%. I can't get wifi on the phone to work and I have no cell signal and battery icon has a question mark still. This phone has to be broken. I see no fix in site for this problem. Anyone want to trade a GS2 for a G2x?

If you have a backup from a working configuration, try restoring that. Before you restore it, boot into clockworkmod and do a factory reset, and then format /system. THEN restore your backup.
After you restore allow the phone to reboot. If you still don't have signal then go to Settings > About Phone and see what it says for Baseband version.
Right now its going to show "unknown" for baseband. Might sound stupid but remove the battery sim card and sdcard for 5 minutes or so and then put them all back in and reboot. Try that after the factory wipes and installing a new rom. I've done that when I saw the "?" And no cell or data...

I'll give it a shot. That's all I can do at the moment.
I no longer have a backup. The backup got corrupted that's why I've been trying other methods of restoring my phone. After running backup from CWM, the phone would reboot and stay on a black screen and flash. Screen would go dim then black like the backlight showing a black screen and dim again. That's all it kept doing and would not reboot. I tried doing a kdz flash but the pc wouldn't even recognize my phone when I plugged in the usb. (Yes, the drivers were installed and it was working. Previous to this I have kdz flashed twice. Phone has to be in S/W Update Mode by first pressing power button and as soon as the LG Logo shows up on the screen, let go of the power button and hold volume down.)
This resolved my reboot issue since I couldn't do a kdz flash.

It got my phone working but still have unknown baseband and a question mark inside my battery icon.
**Update**
I read several threads regarding unknown baseband issue.
I've tried this method:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-1332350.html
Since I already just did the first part by using the flash.bat file all I had to do was use the kdz flash. Unfortunately, my pc is still not recognizing my phone when I plug it in to the usb while in S/W Update Mode. I tried using this method above since the phone doesn't have to be in S/W Update Mode.
Outcome:
The LG Update Tool used in the method above kept stalling at 4%.
I read in another thread that this LG Update Tool doesn't work on Gingerbread. This LG Update Tool only works on Froyo.
So my next option was to use this method and try installing Froyo:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1048274
This method just didn't work period. Since I don't have baseband or wifi working on the phone I can't get into market to download Rom Manager and I can't install File Expert which I have backed up on my pc. I already had the _ExternalSD directory so I made a sub directory /clockworkmod and another subdirectory /backup in the previous subdirectory. Made this on both the External and Internal sd cards and CWM tells me Couldn't open directory - No files found. So installing Froyo this way was out of the question.
I found this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-1037120.html
This is the stock Froyo version before the Gingerbread update as a zip file.
Unfortunately, when I tried to install the zip file from CWM it didn't work. I unzipped the zip file and found 2 .bin files which answers my question why CWM didn't install the zip.
I tried this method as well:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-1332350.html
This method involves the flash.bat file to be done as a prerequisite before flashing to kdz. To my understanding, the flash.bat file fixes the partitions that most likely were screwed up on the phone and the kdz flash fixes the baseband (update/repair). I still haven't been able to get that kdz flash v1e to work simply because my pc won't recognize my phone into the usb when its in S/W Update Mode. I'm leaning towards the LG Update Tool to fix my baseband but I just need to downgrade to Froyo.
Don't know what else to do. I've been at it for 2 days and I'm seriously going to give up and just cancel T-Mobile.
If one of the methods involves installing apps, u can use adb to install them from ur computer without having to copy them to ur phone. But that's if u can get it into usb debugging mode.
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
When you installed the rom, there should've been an extra package for Google apps that you should have flashed along with the rom as well, but you did so many different things, I don't know what to say.
You don't need your backup, it won't fix your baseband if it's corrupted or at all because no one has been able to get this phone to independently flash a baseband and the only way is through running the Gingerbread update either with KDZ or the LG updater.
I also went through hell more than once when I bricked my phone a few times. The first time I spent almost 2 weeks at it until I fixed it with the help of others here.
I also had the KDZ update stop at 4% over and over again which drove me crazy with anxiety. I was desperate so, after a few of those 4% hangups, I decided to reinstall a ROM and kernel just to see if the phone's baseband had installed anyway. Well, what a surprise, it did work.
You should try KDZ update again and, when it stalls at 4%, leave it for about 20 minutes then install a ROM based on Android 2.3.3, such as Weapon 3, fix permissions then reboot. That's what worked for me once. Another time, I did the same but I installed MTK drivers first then ran KDZ which stopped at 4% too but it worked too.
Read post #20 in this thread about how someone else did that successfully: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1180177
Here's where the MTK driver is: http://www.4shared.com/file/EqniU1Xt/MCCI_r_Firmware_Update_Driver_.html

Just successfully updated to the newest Rogers LGP925 firmware version 2.3.5
Head on over to update your phone with LG's Mobile Software updater today!
Don't be scared if your phone stays on the Rogers screen after update for a few minutes, as mine did aswell.
Do you have the kdz file link?
how do you update to your phone to this?
Does it matter that my phone is rooted?
You will lose root after the update and at the moment, you won't be able to get it back until a new exploit is found from what I've read.
You can update by downloading the LG Mobile Update tool from LG's site. It's not the best of programs but it does occasionally work.
here's link: http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/swdata/WEBSW/LGP925G/ARGSDB/V20c_00/V20C_00.kdz
Can someone help me I did the update on the lg updater thing I've wasted like god only knows how much bandwidth my phone does the update and everything seems ok go to turn on my phone and I'm stuck at the rogers logo and not for just a few mins I had it sitting there for 30mins and the screen will blink for 3 secs and back to the logo. I was on v21a and I did a recovery to downgrade. Guess that didn't work now I'm trying to install it through a kdz method but that's not working I'm stuck at trying to downgrade from 1.5.*.9 to 1.5*.8 well now the program wont install or open I've spent a few hours under other forms looking for solution but none are working (windows 7 64bit)
Edit: Never mind I fixed it.
Did anyone else have success with the update?
Worked for me once i did the fix for the lg update tool in the dev section.

For those having trouble...
I had boot loop after updating many times. You have to do a factory reset from emergency recovery to get it to boot. Do the following:
1. Flash with kdz or upgrade officially.
2. When at boot loop / stuck Rogers screen, pull battery to turn off phone
3. Press and hold HOME SOFT KEY then press and hold volume down key, then while still holding those 2 keys, press and hold power button until screen turns on (5-8 secs)
Then let go of all 3 buttons at the same time.
4. Wait and you should see a different LG recovery come up and it will ask you to factory reset.
5. Use volume keys to navigate to yes and do the reset.
Then reboot and the ROM should load.
There you have it. Worked for me everytime.
I did as crazycage suggested and it works perfect. So far I am liking it.

Rooting on Ubuntu (or OSx)
This is all fine and dandy, but it is kinda sad being stuck in this OS. My in-laws have this phone, so I am wondering if I can, easily, bring them to the present. What rom's do you recommend. Also, are there any step by steps any where for rooting their phone. I'd install CWM on their phone to maybe give them a little nicer UI. I'd install CM9 (or anything ICS really) on their phone. What I need first of all is a step by step to root, from there I will hit the ground running, my problem, the only ones I can find are the Windows One click exe thingies, which aren't much good on Ubuntu, any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

Even with the LG recovery it doesn't work. It detects my phone as cdma device and flashing works but when i try to start i got the same problem.
Anyone experienced this problem??
Thank you!
have you tried to flash kdzfile?

Aside from hardware damage , which is not likely , O3D is unbrickable.
You're probably not doing it right.
If it gets to the bootloader which is running under that lg logo you speak of , that means it's not totally bricked.
If it just shuts off than that means , it can't load the system partition because it's filesystem is either corrupted or nonexistent.
That's a good sign , that means it's looking for it , and if the bootloader is there , that means it can probably get into download mode without external help.
So , you need to get into download mode and flash a bin rom to your device.
Download LG Flashtool and install the correct drivers listed and linked in the resurrection guide.
Load the dll and the rom to it then press ready.
Use the resurrection guide to get into download mode , you can skip the part "omapboot" to get into download mode if you can get into download mode without it. (Remove the battery press the vol + button and you hear a connected then disconnected , then in the second connected you plug the battery in.) If you installed the drivers correctly it will get into download mode. If it doesn't start over , you probably did something wrong or you need omapboot.
Don't worry i faced a couple of scary and frustrating hours in my first time but you'll get through.
Use the guide for everything you need.
Alternatively , you can always take it to your LG Service Center...
Hi all nice to be here have had a good look thru forum and i reckon its the place for help
Please bear in mind when replying...yes I am a noob and a loser and yes my mum did say i am special ...
Anyway here goes
Have(had) a p920 on 2.2.2 and upgraded to 2.35
got a bit over excited and decided i wanted more so like an idiot i tried "jellybam" didnt back anything up and JB has made my phone pretty much unusable for anything except as a wedge under my car front wheel to stop it rolling down the drive (the handbrake isnt holding that well)
If i could i would just go back to original but i have no back up and I have read your forum and i do not understand all the cm10, ICS etc etc references
Could anyone give me a guide on how to make my phone usable again (i have cwm installed) and could it be in words phrases i understand
Thanks folks
Hi.
I would recommend you to try and flash the latest firmware with LG Mobbile Support Tool. It's not that hard and you can't do anything wrong with the phone so don't worry.
Start the app, install the driver for your phone(you'll have an option for that on your right), connect the phone and if your phone gets detected you'll have an option to upgrade to v30(that's ICS and it's faster and better than GB).
This way you'll flash ICS but you'll have all your data, sms, apps etc from your previous rom.
If that doesn't work for you, follow this tut and you'll be on Xbsalls V8 rom that's prerooted ICS rom with TWRP custom recovery(TWRP is also recovery, like CWM).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39269819
I use this rom and it's very good.
Anyway you can flash some other rom in TWRP if you don't like it...
But ALWAYS BACKUP YOUR ROM BEFORE FLASHING ANYTHIIIIIIING.
We all learn that the hard way...

Thanks jocazmaj but i think i have really screwed things up my phone doesnt even seem to have an imei number, serial number or much else and if i am being honest after looking at that guide I am not even sure if i have a normal usb or sync/data cable (how the heck do you tell the difference? lol)
posted a couple of pics not sure if it helps incidentally when i connect to the pc it only connects as a media device not sure if that tells you anything, would love to get this phone working again as its literally been in the box from new until a few days ago

Did you use the right KDZ or extracted files (with the DLL file with same model as what's printed on IMEI sticker after pulling out battery - like "MODEL: LG-P920" for example)? I had the same problem. Wrong DLL usually cause that.
EDIT: Is your phone P925 (aka AT&T LG Thrill 4G)? If so, I have P925 DLL. Also try flashing V21D/E or V28 baseband.

Thanks again m8 but i daren't use that guide, i really appreciate the author of its work but its so anmbiguos as it doesnt really explain clearly when you should remove cables etc etc for example
step 9 connect your phone using the usb cable
but by step 12 connect your phone using the usb cable
I am not exactly clear when i was supposed to remove the cable that was put in at step 9
I have caused so much hassle already that if i can find someone in the uk who is not a complete retard at this like me i would happily pay them to fix the phone

Step 8-unplugg your phone??
Anyway, all the tuts are just the pointers.Try and see and if youre stuck at some point, come back and ask.(but in the thread of that tut that you're using)
Just reading isn't going to take you anywhere.
By the way read thoroughly before doing anything...
I was a giga mega ultra noob before I started playing with my phone and now, few months later and more thatn 10roms later(with a gazillion bootloops and softbricks) I know what I'm doing..
Everything you need is in this forum and belive me if your hardware is good, your phone is fixable.
Xbsall and the others made sure of that.
Just relax and folow the first link that I gave you, the drastic00's guide to V8.
It's the best way I think...
Cheers.

Sorry m8 not trying to diss that poster but truly its not clear at all and i have tried and tried all the parts and it just doesnt happen
step 8 unplugg your phone??
step 9- Now pull out battery, hold vol-up and connect your phone using the usb cable <----so phone is now plugged in
step 10- Your phone should be now in fastboot mode <---- no reference to unplugging phone
step 11- In device manager, you will LG COSMO, install now it's driver which is included in OS_HACKING package. <----no there are NO drivers in that package
step 12- Now one more time run OS_HACKING tool, hold vol-up and connect your phone using the usb cable <plug your phone back in? Sorry i didnt know i was supoosed to unplug it
step 13- Flash the GB bootloaders then flash CWM recovery <--------I have no idea what these are or how to do as there is no reference to them previously in this guide
As i said i rerally appreciate any help but that guide just doesnt make it clear enough for a complete doofuss like me
Tries this guide too http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1942836 but no joy
Its weird cos I can boot to cwm and install a jellybam rom from an external sd card but I cannot successfully install any other rom from it (i am not sure if just doing the wipes then installing a rom downloaded from this site is the right thing to do.
Thanks again

You can find the drivers for LG Cosmo in wsParks omap4boot: http://d-h.st/U08 (i took this link from the resurrection guide).
Afher you instal this important driver.
You can open the omap4boot.
Just type a 2 and connect you phone to the usb.
If text is scrolling in the interface, plug in your bat and hold vol up.
You will enter normal download mode and ready to flash with LG flashtool/smartflash.
Hi thanks but i just got as far as this in the guide, the phone rebooted set itself up and seems to be working fine, without wanting to screw it up anymore, can i just not leave it as is, everything seems to be working wifi, sim etc etc do i actually need to do what it says in the rest of the guide ? added a pic cos am not clear about baseband stuff etc
A) Install LG Flash Tool by running "Setup_LGFlashTool_1.1." Let install but uncheck the ‘open LG Flash Tool’ box (don’t run it yet). The package comes with version 1.2, but 1.1 is what I used.
B) Copy the file ”LGFlashTool” from the “FILE.ZIP” folder over the file of the same name into the ” LG Flash Tool 1.1” folder. This will unlock the program.
C) Right click on "LGFlashTool," found in the same folder you just copied into and choose "Run as administrator."
D) Check the box that says "Select Manual Mode."
E) Click the "..." button to the right of the "DLL" field, then choose "LGP920_110622.dll" file you downloaded. This file helps Windows to write the correct information to the phone.
F) To the right of the "S/W" field, choose "Add" and navigate to/select "28bROOT_AP.bin." This is the official ICS file, but with root access and TWRP recovery.
G) Be sure the button for "USB" is selected. Click OK.
H) Choose the port settings icon that looks like a serial cable.
h1) Check Port 1.
h2) It should select the first 3 check boxes when you do this; "16 Ports," "Port 1 ~ Port 16," and "1" should be checked.
h3) Click OK.
I) Click the yellow arrow (start). You should see "Ready!" at the top left.
J) Insert the battery into the phone. While holding the volume up button on the phone, connect it to the pc with the sync cable. The phone should start flashing (i.e. LG Flash Tool will start writing the file). NOTE: if Flash Tool will not connect, try holding volume up, connecting the USB/sync cable, and THEN connecting battery (while holding volume up). Don't touch it until the process is complete. The phone will boot up. Once it boots up it is OK to disconnect the phone
K) The phone will NOT boot up completely. There will be a message about factory reset (but the button will not let you proceed), or the phone may stick at the LG logo. Long press power to shut off the phone. Hold Volume down + Power. Alternatively, try Home (i.e. house on keypad) + Volume down + Power. You should get a text screen about factory resetting. Press power twice to confirm. Let it reset and boot up.<--------------------------------------- GOT TO HERE SUCCESSFULLY :fingers-crossed:
L) Set up the phone. Then shut it down again.
M) Next we will flash the baseband (.fls) file. Redo steps 2C through 2J. But replace "28bROOT_AP.bin" with "28bROOT_CP.fls" in LG Flash Tool. The process of flashing a baseband will NOT complete to 100% in LG Flash Tool. That’s OK. I got to 155 seconds and it worked.
N) If you have connection problems (the 28b baseband is working for me), you may want to get another baseband from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1974734. Download the file you need and repeat steps 2B through 2J with your preferred file.

Sounds like you did it.
If you dont have issues with 3g or calls, you dont nessesery have to flash your baseband.
But in many times it will be better you do.
