Excessive amount of wakelocks - RAZR HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Sorry if it's a repeated thread, but I can't find nor understand what's causing the amount of warlocks on my phone. First I suspected from apps syncing so I tried disable it for an hour (turned wifi off too). Wake locks persisted. Even with a long time of screen of I'm still getting wake locks.

I have something like this but with this app com.Google.android.gsf when i click on it it said something about gtalk

Yours seems reasonable. Mine lets the phone awake for about 7 hours after a day. Battery would never reach one day with 64%. The main reason is the SyncLoopWakelock that I think that is related to Google account but I don't know any workaround to it.

At that time i used to have sync off on all counts

GSF stands for Google Service Frameworks, so I think there's nothing much to do.
Bad thing of turning off sync is that I'm unable to receive emails thru gmail app.

One of my massive drains comes from audio out 2. Sometimes it keeps the phone awake from nothing and won't stop. Any workaround for it?

WTF is "0" in my battery history

I've had this on other android devices before but never this bad. Under network usage, the top item is consistently "0". Clicking on it results in FC. I just went to CM7. I dont think the issue came back until I reinstalled all of my apps. I used a network monitor when I was stock rooted and never saw anything unusual. Anyone have any ideas? I have a feeling it is killing my battery.

Bump. I have the same issue. If I click on the item labeled 0, it force closes.

Can you give me a list of all of your apps? Maybe we have a culprit in common.
Bump.......

I have the same. I believe it is all non system apps lumped together as I don't have any of them listed like I did on my n1. I think the system isn't representative of individual app use for data or battery. The battery history normally lists apps associated with a specific uid if you press each. My theory is something in the framework isn't registering apps independently but grouping them together creating false readouts.
[EDIT] I do see individual apps on network use so I want to strike my theory. Now I'm just back to puzzled.

seems like mine but mine stopped a 999% battery left and i was like wtf?

Sorry, been too busy to check back in on XDA for a few days. I could post a list of apps, but my original observation was during the couple of days after I did all the factory wiping / calibrating to fix my battery life. I didn't have any non-stock apps installed at the time.
The 0 is still there, and still force closes. I was hoping some more people might have insight on this, but it doesn't seem to have caught on.

Turn off notification light

How do I disable this totally. I have unchecked all the the options in the phone settings. I have disabled it in some apps. But I'm still getting it in the gmail app. I dont see anywhere in that app settings about the notification light

You could use the HTC email client instead. Sign into your gmail there and it should work.

Yeah did that too
I believe what Maroon is saying is that you have disabled the notification within the native email client so if you setup your gmail inside of that and stop using the actual gmail app, it shouldnt notify you any longer.

in the native email app there are notifications for the email but not one just for the led light, so if i turn off notifications there, i dont get anything in the status bar. i cant seem to to figure it out. the native gmail app is much better too
disregard

Battery/Wake Lock Management

Alarm_rtc. What is using this? Read around a bit and it seems that any app can be causing this.
Am I correct in assuming Light Flow would be responsible in my case?
(I was having problems with a charger and used the app to flash the LED to show me it was actually charging while the screen was off.)

alarm_rtc: This is your phone's internal alarm scheduler, set to wake up your phone for sync, push, etc. Closely related to the AlarmManager PWL.
To fix: Check your apps and make sure they're only set to sync when you want them to, not for constant push or stupid-short intervals.

You can also run Terminal Emulator app and type the below commands:
su (enter)
dumpsys alarm (enter)
Then search for "Alarm Stats" and see what you have.

Froze both those apps and coming up with this now.
Would like to get it down to 1.5-2%/hour with the screen off. Guess I'll keep at it. Nothing better to do.

Switch location mode to Device only in the Android settings menu.
I notice you are on HSPA. If you are stuck on HSPA, disable LTE so it doesn't keep looking for a signal. Of you have access to LTE, use it. I see you have Tasker. You can automate the radio changes with that.

ok, if the google apps were working fine before and just stopped working, give it time. two weeks ago many google services stopped working for nearly a full day for many(including myself), then started back up. it was a google server issue.
Hmm...
Still not working... anyone else experiencing similar problems?
Try checking your time and date...my son often has a similar problem because his time/date always resets to 1/1/2011 and he cant use gapps until the date is fixed.

The C2DMHandlerThread wakelock

Ah, wakelocks, the eternal scourge of Android.
Seeing few bothersome on my Mate 9 Pro EU (LON-LC432B139), but the "C2DMHandlerThread"-one is always there, chugging away.

Not much info to find on it by Googling. Seems its probably related to chat apps. Anyone else seeing the same on their 9s and 9 Pros?

Haven't got WhatsApp. Just FB Messenger, Skype and Hangouts.

This is top of the list for me too. Using the same apps I've been using on recent phones. Only getting about 30% deep sleep because of this. Anyone else?
Googling the wakelock it seems its only Huawei devices?
My phone is MHA-L09C185B156
I just googled it :
So what is C2DM ? It is a server push mechanism provided by Google so that 3rd party applications can push messages to their applications on Android devices.
I saw that too, but the phone set up in exactly the same way as many other devices in the last year. So strange the only google results for C2DMHandlerThread that come up are for EMUI/Huawei. Getting rid of Whatsapp didn't work I'll try Telegram now (thought I have all notifications/active service etc turned off for Telegram)

In the past years there was no Android 7 nougat
Sorry i don't know what cause it but seems all push service is eating the battery.
I think sometimes if you enable the option to close apps when screen is off ,can have side effects.
Instead of improving the battery it drain more because lot of services are starting again.
That's true this is my first Nougat experience. Still strange that the only mention online is Huawei related. I'm getting bad standby here even with great signal I thought this might be the cause.
Any way to stop this service without closed?I'm rooted and this is the only wake lock that's driving me nuts
POSSIBLE FIX: Using disable service go to android system and disable "Push service"
not sure what the repercussions are, seems to be fixed.
Edit doesn't work, its a huawei service so ill keep it disabled.
Anyone figure out what was causing this? I've got a huawei P9 B386 with this wakelock chewing battery. Down from 40 hours battery to 12 because of it. Keeps my phone permanently awake.
