thanks for this, of all my years of using WM I didn't know this app was capable of doing this.
thanks for pointing that that out i forgot of that
but...is there anyway you can connect through usb instead of bt? i dont have bt on my pc or laptop and just want it going thru usb so it wouldn't kill my battery life
so no app to connect your phone via usb to use as a touch pad ;(
why not using wireless lan?
works like a charm for me..this app is just fantastic =)

I paid because I get paid for the work that I do, don't you?
Besides, there are so many poor apps out there, when someone does something this good I am happy to pay/donate.
yeah you're right..maybe you missunderstood me. i dont use the pro as a crack. i just use the free one
and i would also donate something..but damn, i'm a student only 16 years old...i havent got that much money

i need it charged hd2 battery life isnt long u know using wifi to connect to the laptop reduces both the laptops and phones battery life on the go...
How to connect phone and PC with wireless? this app is awsome, and i would like to have it.. i have wireless router tp link on pc..
download the program from their site...connect the phone to the laptop install the app on the phone...open cab and press connect...it will bring you add menu screen and press add computer and detect (make sure your wifi on)
then you will see your computers name come up after scanning press add and connect...
though i still dont think the app is as good as it could get...
the gpad app on android can connect through usb though...just think the wifi signal is inconsistent...and scrolling down is a pain in the ass cause once you scroll down it goes the whole way down...very hard...
hi, i wanted to use my computer's mouse and keyboard on my xoom, is that possible? if it is can you please tell me how. thank you.
Search it on YouTube. You need wireless Bluetooth keyboard and or mouse. Start with the mouse first and enable it to search, now on the Droid device enable Bluetooth and pair with it. Once its connected move on to the keyboard, connect that the same way. Once the keyboard is connected it will automatically disable the mouse, re-enable the mouse and now both work! Hope I helped, if I did, hit the thanks button! Good luck.

so you cant use your computer's keyboard or mouse, you can only use a bluetooth mouse and keyboard?
That is correct, most wireless keyboards and mouse's for a computer either have a USB stick or 1 module for USB for both that controls them. Bluetooth is the only way to do it. I mean, I guess you can do via USB, but you would have bulky wires hanging out of your phone and wouldn't look nice and neat. Blue tooth keyboards and mouse's are fairly cheap and work exactly as a Bluetooth headset device. I would recommend going to a computer store, like Microcenter or somewhere like that and find their clearence items, usually have those in the bins

I bought the Logitech Bluetooth keyboard and mouse made for Android, and both work wonderfully with my Xoom. When I dock it at work, I basically use it like a laptop and am 20x more productive. Check it out...

You should be able to use any Bluetooth capable device though. I like the Logitech stuff because they actually incorporated android buttons onto the keyboard.
Enjoy!

I've tried several different Bluetooth mice and they all seem to work just fine... I stuck with the Logitech one because it was marketed as being "designed for android", so incase there were any incompatibilities, I couldn't go wrong. You just need to make sure its Bluetooth... for some reason finding Bluetooth mice is pretty difficult... the local bestbuy's don't seem to carry them and had to order online..

Sure does! I'm running EOS Stingray nightly #40 and haven't had a single issue! Believe me, I was worried at first too after I made the leap, but I've been incredibly pleased.

So true. I'm using a Logitech MK-520 wireless keyboard and mouse, with its USB receiver plugged into the Xoom "Camera Connection Kit" cable.
I was surprised that many of the keyboard's "extra functions" (like FN combos, play/pause/volume) work with the Xoom.
My apologies if this has been posted already. Couldn't find anything on it in the search.
One of the things I was missing when I moved from the Prime to the Infinity was the native PS3 controller support. Well I decided to give it a shot here with the JB update and it worked!. I simply plugged in the controller with the BT enabled and mashed the PS button when suddenly the BT icon in my notification bar lit up in blue. I went to settings/BT and the controller is paired. I unplugged the controller and everything works fine.
Great news!! Thank you for your feedback

Not on the infinity with BT.
General question:
It seems you pair it with USB cable from the controller pluged into the dock, only then you can remove the USB connection and use it. I dont have a dock and as you know the tablet itself does not have a "normal" USB port (just the one for charging).
Can i pair my PS3 controller using just the tablet as well?

To my knowledge there is no other way than to use the dock to pair the two.
You could buy just the USB dongle for the tablet, and use that in lieu of the dock. It's a lot cheaper.

I don't know about a tablet-only method (maybe with a USB-OTG adapter?), but you can pair the controller with any bluetooth address using a PC under linux with the "sixpair" program.

I haven't been able to test BT pairing yet, but the PS controller worked fine tethered with the dongle on ICS. I dont' see why pairing wouldn't work. the dock's port is just a pass through to the tablet anyway.
I don't know if it would work, but if you know the tablet's BT address, you can download Sixaxias Controller BT tool on the PC which lets you manually enter it into the controller.
I haven't tried using the PS3 controller without using Sixaxias Controller app running.

So my nexus 4 screen shattered when i drop it by mistake ... searched everywhere and came up with that You can use android device even without touch screen from your computer... Yes!! You can control your android via Ur PC's mouse and keyboard... For this you must have USB Debugging turned on in your device... And you need [email protected] and Android Screencast in your PC. Start both of them and now you can control your device via PC.
This trick even works you are not getting any display in your device....
Found It Here On Bequench.com : http://www.bequench.com/use-android-device-if-touch-is-not-working/
thank you, this may be helpful for some people, but i think i will prefer to fix the touch problem if it happens.

There are cases when you don't want to expend on fixing the expensive touch screen..
Or you can just use a USB>USBmicro cable to connect any random USB mouse.
Provided it's just touch that is dead, of course.

Pretty sure you can't do that. Only with a 360 controller, and it needs to be a wired one.
Well, thanks kinda disapointing.
But I still got a old PS3 Controller, and its working with most of my games.
Expect the menus in Portal and Half Life 2. Is there a way to fix that? I cant scroll through them

Just found a video showing that the xBox One Controller is compatible with "USB/BT Joystick Center "2015"". I got the App, but my tablet still dont recognize it. Is this just a Shield problem?

The Xbox one controller uses neither USB or Bluetooth, so I find that hard to believe.
Was the guy in the video actually using it on his phone/tablet?

No problem, man. Just try to not sound so aggressive next time. Mistakes happen.
So, I am currently a bit confused about this thread. Is it somehow possible on stock or not?
I recently tried the XBox One controller via cable on KitKat stock, but to no avail.
A wireless controller for PC isn't available until later this year, so I don't think this is a valid solution right now.
Xbox One controllers do not transmit data via USB ever.
The usb on the XBO controller is for charging only.
It is a wireless only controller as far as data is concerned.
You will never ever get usb to work because ghe controller does not have that capability with any system. It is an all wireless controller except fof charging.
That is why the guy who said you have to use a wireless pc reciever is correct.
Sorry there is no possible work around as the usb port doesnt physically support data transmission.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
But it is news at all. It is good to know.
Has anybody tried the wireless XBox One so far?

100% untrue. Xbox One Controller works via USB on my Windows 10 computer, no additional drivers. I don't have any wireless adapters or Bluetooth installed.
Unfortunately, this isn't the case with android. Neither USB/Wireless will work without support from Microsoft.

You will find that windows automatically installed drivers for the xbox one pad as it did for me when i plugged it in. due to being a MS device it has its own repository to aquire the driver from and as such may of updated without you even noticing
EDIT: i stand corrected as of windows 10 the driver is bundled into windows, but there is still a driver, its just windows 7 and 8.x users that need to run a driver update to download them, again this would happen when they plug in the pad anyway

Inaccurate statement, you are just the bearer of in correct information
so all that is really needed is for someone to figure out how to port the usb drivers that windows uses for the xbox one pad (which is fully supported over usb on my gaming pc as well) to an android version. I am very tempted to scour the net for any such development already occuring, failing that i will mayb e develop it myself with the people who are developing on the Nvidia tablet who achieved root on it in the first place. I am considering buying one of these devices myself, but i may look to see if a newer version is in the pipeline anytime soon and if there is save my money for that one. if only they had a shield tablet x1 edition like the tv box
No need to keep quoting me.
I was provided and in turn provided inaccurate information.
I apologize.
