Galaxy SIII freezes constantly. - General Questions and Answers

I've had my SIII rooted for about 6 months now, and only after flashing LiquidSmooth a few days ago has the freezing started. It started off fine, then froze every few days, then once a day, and earlier today it would do it every few minutes. Only a hard reboot would fix it.
I think it has something to do with Play Store, because after flashing the latest LiquidSmooth, and the latest Cyanogen 10.1 it would freeze when the phone started to restore my apps from my Google account. To test I refused the restore on first boot with fresh ROM. No freezing. As soon as I began downloading apps BANG. Frozen,
Both these ROMS requite a manual Gapps installation, something that I've never had to do before.
Can anybody help me?
Thanks

[Q] Updating OmniROM 4.4 daily on a device

Hi Everyone -
First off, let me apologize in advance for asking this question as I imagine it has been asked dozens of times previously.
I recently installed a custom ROM (OmniROM 4.4 'KitKat') on my Galaxy Note 2. I backed everything up, rooted it, installed recovery, etc. and then installed the nightly build of the ROM at that time.
The ROM is currently undergoing heavy development/nightly builds and I'd like to update from time to time.
Here's my question: do I need to wipe the device completely every time to UPGRADE the same ROM to a newer build? installing the ROM is straightforward enough, it's reinstalling all the apps, reconnecting email, etc. that's a PITA if I were to do this several times per week.
Can someone let me know what the process is for upgrading? Or point me to a link!
Thanks a ton in advance!

Hi, I've updated ist daily in the last 5 days. I just checked for updates in the phone settings and the phone (GT.I9100G) does everything automatically. All my apps and data are still there after an update. Nothing was deleted.

N5 Help, random reboots & bootloops

So I got my nexus 5 before not even a week ago and from the first day I got some random reboots that are really just random without a pattern, app or something to do them, they are just random. But I didn't care mostly because I wanted to wait a bit before I began customizing it. After I waited a little bit for the OTA update to come to my nexus 5 I thought to myself what could happen if I unlock the bootloader and root it so I could update my rom. So I did that and after a little more tweaking I found a nice merge of 2 kernels (franco & one that has DT2W) so I thought why not. I installed it, but the same night after 4-5 hours the phone began bootlooping to the point that I really couldn't even load TWRP. I fixed it by flashing default android and kernel and after that I updated it to 4.4.1 and rooted it without a problem. The random reboots kept occurring though Today I thought that I would backup my rom so I could try some other kernel, but I cannot literally be in twrp more than 10 seconds. After I begin installing a zip or backup or whatever else the device reboots for no apparent reason. I need help because it reboots every 2 minutes when I am talking, Thanks for your support ! Only fix that I have seen is that I flash default kit kat through the Nexus Root Toolkit.

[Q] Random Force reboots

Hey guys, I'm a pretty heavy tinkerer and I know that comes with some risk. But before I completely wipe and reflash everything I wanted to see if someone could help diagnose my problem.
I have a Nexus 5 and have been running MultiRom for a while. I currently have Paranoid Android and Android L dual booting. I was on the newest version of PA (4.6 BETA 1) but I just flashed back to a past backup so now I am on PA 4.4 (I think). I have been having random reboots for about a day and now I can't even get my phone to stay on longer than a few minutes. I just installed Xposed and a few Modules so I assumed those were giving me the trouble, but I uninstalled Xposed when I started having problems and that didn't help. Even my backed up ROM and my Android L won't work without rebooting. This leads me to believe its something deeper down than my ROM.
Before I clean off and reflash, is there any way I can diagnose or fix this issue?
Thanks a ton.

[Q] Random frequent reboots after 5.0.1.

Hey everyone.
So, this started happening to my Nexus (stock, unrooted, locked) after the 5.0.1 OTA update: youtube.com/watch?v=BolnMQx3LGs
It started in the first days of January, after receiving the 5.0.1. update. The phone randomly restarts and gets in a boot loop. For the last month it happened once or twice every week, often making the phone useless for several hours. I posted on the Nexus help forums, noticed a lot of people with the same problem as me, but no solutions.
Today I had enough and sideloaded Kitkat again. So far so good, but I don't want to celebrate just yet.
Has this happened to anyone here. Is there a reason for this to be happening or a solution?
I wish I had the answer. My wifes' stock rooted N5 did this 2 weeks ago and I could not keep it booted into recovery long enough to flash any images. I bought myself an N6 then I wiped my CM11 N5 and loaded stock 5.0.1. for her and put in her sim. She was fine for the last two weeks. Now today she says it is doing it to this phone. The first phones' issue looked exactly like your youtube video. Not your standard bootloop. Wiping cache and dalvik did not fix. A couple other threads mention they suspect kernel. Assuming I can get it to stay on the bootloader I will probably flash elementalX and see if that solves it.

Problem with LG-H221ar (android 4.4.2)

Hello guys, I was wondering if you could help me. I have a cel phone LG-H221 and I had to flash it several times. The problem started a couple of months ago... The first time, it showed me continually this error: "unfortunately, the process com.android.systemui has stopped". I did a factory reset many times but it never worked out.
So I decided to flash it using flashtools 2014 and the original firmware (H221AR10d_00_0219.kdz) but it kept showing me errors. Since then, I flashed it again twice. Now it showed me a warning because the settings option has stopped and google apps too, I did a factory reset but now it shows me the blue screen with the language setting and it's frozen.
I don't know what to do, I bought it 6 months ago and I lost the warranty, where I live (Argentina) it's one of the latest devices by LG.
So I was wondering... is there any rom (cyanogenmod, omnirom, etc) which is compatible with my device? It's not rooted so I would need to that first. Thank you all very much in advance for any tip or suggestion!
