CX919 II - completely Bricked no tv signal

Hi! I just purchased CX-919 II android TV stick. I was having wifi connection issues, so I decided to change the firmware with 4.4 kitkat. The problem was that when I was going to downgrade to 4.2 I had the usb debugging checked on. so now It seems my device is brick. the blue power light comes on, but the tv screen continues black with no sign on system booting.
I´m RKbatch tool 1.7 and CX-919 4.2.2 Finless 1.6b with cx919-rk3188-4.2-6210-20131209 firmware. I always getting :"prepare IDB fail".
Can anyone help me unbrick my device, please?

Umbricking and EKD03 / J22 / CX 919 firmware
Well for 3 days I tried to see if there was an alternative to opening the device case and and shorting the 7-8 pins together of the nan Chip. Although it still connected to the RKbatchtool 1.7 it was always hanging up on the IDB preparing. - IDB fail. Fortunetly. The device survived the procedure.
I´ll try to leave the description procedure here.
Open the case of the CX-919 II / J22 / EKD03 Quad Core Rk3188 Android Smart TV Stick and short circuit the 7-8 pins of the nan chip in order to flash it again.

Counting from the white arrow you´ll short pins 7-8 or 8-9 while you plug the micro-USB cable from your PC into the USB-OTG (side) port of your CX919. And that´s that for unbricking.
IMPORTANT!!!
If you buy the CX 919 from chinese sellers on ebay, don´t bother trying to flash it with the CX919 stock firmware, stock firmware updates, CX-919 4.2.2 Finless 1.6b, because the wireless and bluetooth won´t work. Instead you´ll need to search and use EKD03 or J22 stock or rooted firmware.
I´ll leave here the right firmware links to anyone that is having the same problem with tyhe chinese CX 919.

I was trying to install many ROMs for my Stick which is similar what you have. And I was stupid not to keep back up.
Finally the EKD03- ROM worked with my stick and it can work again !
I am new to flashing so want to know, Is there any chance by which we can try Neomode or Finless ROM on this stick??

[Resolved] [Q] How to root an Hyundai SP Octa Eagle 5"?

Hyundai SP Octa Eagle 5″ (Dual SIM, MT6592 based, KK 4.4.2, 1GB RAM, 8GB Flash)​
Since there seems to be no specific help at XDA-Devs for this device, I decided to open this thread to help anyone interested...
After much fiddling, I managed to root this phone by following s7yler instructions for a very similar phone:

I didn't succeed right away, so I also tried TowelRoot and Kingo, which also didn't work.
FYI, s7yler method also didn't work immediately: since I had already synchronized with my previous Google account and had a small OTA firmware update, I had to boot the phone into the "Factory Recovery" (Vol.Up+Power) and do a "Factory Reset" (bypass "no command", Vol.Down to move highlight, and Vol.Up to enter).
I then had the phone with no SIM or memory card (the default wallpaper was different, too), upon which I refrained from connecting to any wifi, and then retried the procedure that I had already tried many times before.
The VROOT application s7iler links to from his thread was unable to get the job done; I had to resort to "MT6592 ROOT TOOL 1.0" (from http://vondroid.com/resources/mt6592-root-tool.456/, free registration required), which is nothing but an unpacked older version of VROOT, which was able to update itself to a different version than the official one at the site and finally cracked the nut.

Don't forget to install Chainfire's SuperSU afterwards (and then you can get rid of the Chinese apps installed in the process, if you wish so)...
NOTE: there have been various reports around XDA-Devs forums that VROOT might be malware, so YMMV...

It looks like your battery is done for.
I don't know where this specific batteries can be gotten, but luckily it's a replaceable: just take it out and go around the shops looking for something compatible -- 3 contact 3.7V Li-Polymer 2200mah; watch out for dimensions and polarities, though...

I have ordered the Goophone 6 v2 and should be with me tomorrow. Seller only listed as a quad core, 1Gb ram and has logo on the back. Its runs 4.2 with a IOS theme.
Is there anyway to to go stock android but 4.3 so I can use android wear ? If you need more info, hopefully I can supply that when I get my phone tomorrow.
Ok phone arrived.. the CPU is a MT6582/8382.
Camera is terrible and phone took over 5 hours to charge. Hoping I can get a stock 4.3 or higher android on this.

Check Needrom.com, will have to create an account to download a rom (I think). I found the right Rom for my v77_55hd. If you can run your device, install Aida64 and run it, look under "Android" it will tell you all you need to know, you need to know the Build ID, and that is shown there. It will be something like ALPS.JB5.MP.V1.21, don't download any ROM that is not for that specific Build., Also pay attention to the kernel version, if any of that does not match, then it is not the right ROM- You can try it, but you might get a black screen.
I just found this one today, but it is not the same one I used. The one I had found seems to be gone. I used this one, which has a video, it's the Rom made by s7yler, and it works well. Hope this helps. Ah - Here is S7yler's ROM for my device, it's prerooted and everything.
I have mine all set up, but I need to know how to get my Sprint SIM card working, if possible. I tried cloning the IMEI from another device, but the SIM locked. Not sure if I'm doing it right.

The phone itself says it has a MediaTek MT6752
4x ARM Cortex-A53 (32-bit ARMv7

As it does not seem that there is a sub-forum for these and I only stumbled across a guy that isnt able to root his device

I wanted to know if there is any similarity to other lenovo phones regarding custom roms...or if I shall instantly forget about this phone ? :silly:
I really like this phone, except for the very bad camera and many apps/games force closing for no reason (maybe 512mb is no longer enough)
I like the additonal "security features" and the overall design of VIBE UI.
Even the built-in "ROM recovery" (which wont download a ROM) mentions rooting and recovery...but I cant find custom ROMs and the chinese forums only revealed there is VIBUE UI 3.0 now.
I would really like to try rooting and custom ROMS, or at least know if VIBE UI 2.7.176 will be updated to the new 3.0 or if this phone will recieve Android 5.0 (its not enlisted in the lenovo upgrade matrix anyway?)
But again, I cant find much about this device.

I do now it uses "VIBE UI" (bbs.vibeui.com)
I read on the chinese lenovo forum, that "VIBE UI 3.0" got announced.
As there is not much to find about these phones, a video from youtube about "VIBE UI 2.0" had the lockscreen image of the hot-air-ballon
which my phone has as well. So I might have UI 2.0. (?)
Anyone with any idea how to check which VIBE UI is currently installed on my phone and if there are attempts on putting newer UIs to older phones ?
I start to like this phone, with all its additonal features and security options...if just the camera wouldnt be a 320x240 one, calling itself 5 MP
Im pretty aware that the A616 isnt the most powerfull phone, but similar phones get the VIBE UI 3.0 upgrade and
will recieve lollipop according to Lenovos upgrade matrix.
And even if many ppl arent happy with the lollipop update on the lenovo forums...I wonder why I cant find any infos reagarding UI 3.0
or lollipop for the A616. It got release din dec. 2014 and I cant find much...
Also I cant find the malaysian / chinese upgrade matrix.

I have also found that 2 ROMs, but comments arent 100% positive or questions only.

In my case, the big big big problem is the f***ing Lenovo bloatware (even keyloggers)

Which app did you use to root your phone ? Did you install CWM ?

I have a Lenovo A5800-d that can be flashed with the A616-rom that needrom offers. But I cannot get Imei recovered. so it is useless. I have a chinese rom found on baidu for my phone. It is rooted and working smooth, but I cannot get playstore working on it. That is a kind of a problem. With help of titanium backup, I can get most of my apps in english or dutch and imei is ok. But I cannot use google services like agenda updates.
Perhaps that chinese rom works for you. It is called A5800-d_S022_Root.
Is there someone who knows a solution for my playstore-problem?

Hello, thank you for the ROM! But I can not understand for which model is compatible: Dual SIM or Single SIM?
One Touch Pop 3 5.0 (5015A, 5015X)
One Touch Pop 3 5.0 Dual SIM (5015D, 5015E, 5016J)
Which of these? Or all variants with 5015...?
Also I ask if the ROM is stable or in beta version...

Its for all variants of 5015.
It is stable, the only known bug is bluetooth a2dp.

Works perfect on the dual Sim 5015X, much easier to distinguish between Sim's on CM12.1, haven't come across any issues with bluetooth either?
Purchased this phone brand new at Sainsbury's for £50, while I await parts for my broken s6
Now I have CM12.1, I don't miss the s6 much at all

I enabled USB Debugging and then Used ADB > ADB REBOOT RECOVERY or ADB REBOOT BOOTLOADER

Hi good day.
I've installed this rom on my Pop 3 (5) device. Works very well, but this have a bug. I've selected "just charge" option on USB connection mode, and it never detected usb cable again. I tried several things to put USB mass storage again, but android just don't detect usb connection.
I hope can fix this bug, compilation is very good . Thank you!

Hello, let me ask you folks a question because ím starting to get mad about 5016a version. Kingroot 4.5 and 4.8 recognize the phone as "TCL" 5016a. NO mtk chip, i´m sure. CAN´T root this phone, no way at all.

Download the recovery from this thread and also the scatter file (to do so, right click on the scatter and press save as, then save).
Download SPFT latest version from here and SuperSU .
Place SuperSU zip on sdcard or internal.
Power off device and remove battery if possible.
Plug in USB cable to PC and click on the download button in SPFT.
Connect your phone and let it flash.
Boot to recovery mode and flash SuperSU.

@ZonaRMR Hi, your rom is perfect, but I need stock firmware files which can be flashed via SP Flash Tool. I can't find it anywhere so can you make a ReadBack via SPFT? Or anyone who has got this phone? My version is 5015X but probably any will be good. Thanks for help. And no, I can't flash stock FW via official Alcatel Upgrade app or something, because phone is not recognized by this app. Only SP Flash Tool can see phone.

I just signed up and I installed this ROM...but..-I'd like to know why the SYSTEM, now, uses about 400 MB of RAM (settings - App - In use)...is it just me ??

Really thanks for the ROM that you have made available, but there are still too many bugs/problems...
1 - Low volume (lower than ROM stock !!)
2 - Scroll lag (Instagram, Browser, Facebook...)
3 - In most videos (Instagram, Youtube..) you only hear the audio and the image is frozen
4 - I can use only Camera stock (Camu) to make videos, because any other app crashes
5 - System takes up about 350 Mb of Ram (approximately 1 GB total)
...and something else that i'm missing...
Sorry for my not perfect english ...I expect replies...
