Why you dont make a twrp backup instead of a cwm backup? To make a backup i recomand twrp had issues with cwm. Anyway if you did a backup with cwm try to restore bavkup, i had trouble with it.

In Darkroom V3 topic is "take a CWM BACKUP", so I did cwm backup Anyway I have TWRP backup so I'm safe

It isnt very important wich backup you do, you are saver with an twrp backup too much people have trouble with cwm backup

[SOLVED] [Q] installing add-ons for Endymion v3.5

could some one help me out how to use Endymion v3.5 add-ons
i have downloaded the zip... flash it as i did with rom or something else
any help is appreciated
You have to flash the zip in recovery like you did the ROM. Once done you will see the themes in the theme manager tab of Endy control.

1. If you are flsahing the ROM for the first time after a full wipe, just flash Endymion_V3.5_addons.zip immediately after flashing the Endymion_V3.5_base_release.zip. Flash it just like you would flash any other zip from recovery.
2. If you have already installed Endymion 3.5 and started using it without the addons package, take a nandroid backup, boot into recovery, wipe dalvik and cache, then flash the Endymion_V3.5_addons.zip. Flash it just like you would flash any other zip from recovery.

nandroid backup
i used 4ext recovery so a backup from that is also a nandroid backup or it has to be from cwm recovery

No need to use CWM, 4EXT will do just fine.

[Q] How to backup/restore in new ROM

I just recently installed an official cyanogen mod for my phone and I wanted to restore my system, files, everything.
Don't get me wrong though.. I tried using Nandroid Backups I back it up before flashing, installed the rom properly after flashing.
My problem is, what should I use in restoring my system files without reverting back to my old rom?
Thanks.

I do not understand you. Make a backup in CWM and then when you want to restore the ROM, in CWM make a restore.

Okay imagine this.. My current rom is cyanogen by tj styles and i wanted to use the official cyanogen rom.
So what I did, I backed up my files using CWM and tried to flash another rom (official cyanogen) . When I did successfully, I tried restore using CWM and after that.. I'm only back to my old rom. (cyanogen by tjstyles)
So my question is, how can i switch to a new ROM without losing my files?

Only system apps will give fc if you restore them + their data...
On most roms, normal apps will not give fc...
They fc the most if the rom has some memory hack implemented...

Restoring nandroid to get back to stock

I have been using android since a yr or more on my xu. I never created a nandroid coz sony fw was mere 300mb and i used flashtool to flash stock... bt I got a s2p now wid stock fw as large as 750mb which I cant download.
I want to try cm10.1 bt I have no stock rom flashable via odin
So if make a nandroid backup now.. so can I restore it to get back to stock when m on cm10.1?
you mean backup with cwm? yes. make backup, flash cm, if you do not like cm or somethin went wrong with installation restore the backup with cwm and you are back to stock. but do not delete the backup.
