fastboot flash system system.img
can,t extrackt bin file , but i have tryed flash recovery but cant get there, flashed back system.img but still stuck at lg logo, is it possible to flash entire rom with fastboot? if i try flash like one rom an error
c:\Fastboot\dark>fastboot update ics.zip
archive does not contain 'android-info.txt'
archive does not contain 'android-product.txt'
error: update package has no android-info.txt or android-product.txt
and if i try to flash system only its says system img is too large.
There's one thing to try.... If you have backup copy on your external SD, just copy boot.img from that backup folder onto your computer and fastboot flash both boot.img and cwm.img (wpark V1.25 compatible CWM is recommended), and then enter CWMR from there and install the backup copy.

there is problet that I Dint, make backup, but if i can get to recovery i can put phone work again. At least i think so. Is there possible to install any roms with fastboot if you make there android-info and protuct files ?
Follow the installation steps and it will work.
Send from my XBSA VR3D P920..
Well, boot.img is also present in any CWM-flashable zip - extract this file and fastboot flash this kernel along with CWMR image (TWRP may do also but CWMR may be the only thing to do away with for now as well - wpark's ADB boot flash have CWM image also).

Flash a baseband with LG FlashTool. It helped when I don't have signal and IMEI
If this don't help you, try this guide: [GUIDE] Unlock Phone / Recover IMEI
Take shiro1811's advice - use V21D or V21E baseband for CM10. This baseband version fixed my problems with CyanogenMod.

are you on stock kernel as well?
that was my issue - was stock rom, rooted, cwm and marmite kernel
had to flash back the stock kernel via fastboot and then apply the OTA via cwm

do you have some other mods on your system (like face unlock, galaxy nexus sounds as described in the ROM thread you mentioned)?
did you try to fix permissions in cwm and give it another shot?
did you try to wipe cache and dalvik before flashing (that's even recomended from some devs)
The OTA is for JB JRO03E only (not for JRO03L)
Another possibility would be to flash the 4.1.2 factory image, but you will loose everything (it's a full wipe!)
For OTA you should be on stock recovery. Flash back stock recovery with fastboot (take recovery from stock image from Google).

You just need to flash the stock recovery, not the whole image...
Download a stock image:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1572307
Let's say I download JZO54K Android 4.1.2
You should end up with a .tgz file. Extract it. (soju-jzo54k-factory-36602333.tgz)
You should have a .tar file. Extract it. (soju-jzo54k-factory-36602333.tar)
Then you should have a folder, in that folder there will be a few files including a .zip file, extract it (image-soju-jzo54k.zip)
From the files you just extracted, you should have a recovery.img file.
Using fastboot, you flash this recovery.img file to the recovery partition, and voilĂ , you have stock recovery.

Hello, I have a LG P920. When I was going to root it and install an ICS rom I tried to install the u-boot and x-loader from wkpark. But for som reason the phone wouldn't boot, so it got stuck in a bootloop. After trying to fix it several ways i ended up with it boot directly into recovery and when I try to flash a boot.img it says that it doesn't excist any boot partiton. I have really no idea what to do to fix it. Please help. In advance thank you.
Did you try flash *.bin or *.kdz ??
And what you mean with "when I try to flash boot.img ..." the recovery can not flash a *.img
Just *.zip which contain :- boot.img and META-INF .
Here is the link :-
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1629307
Yeah, try flashing with lg flashtool
Sent from my P920 using ICS 4.0.4 by XBSA
When I said flash boot.img I meant trough fastboot, followed this tutorial. And for some reason I cannot access recovery, it is highly possible that I am doing that the wrong way.
I have tried to use LG Flasht tools, but I think I'm doing something wrong. And when thats said, I'm not completly sure in which mode I should be in, meaning fastboot, recovery, download mode. The problem is that when I try using flash tools, it seems when I set it to use port 1 in flash tools nothing happends. When comparing to other screenshots, I can also see that in flash tools it doesn't recognise, or at least not telling me (at the top info bar) what model, or S/W just the file name.
I kind of tried smart flash from the link, but I ended up with a complete wipe, and it seemed like it hadn't been flashed any new rom.
About the mode just remove sim , sd card and the battery press and hold vol up and then connect it to the computer .
About the port , first you should change the port from windows device manager to port 1 .
I'm sorry about the boot.img ...etc . So I see many people in XDA extract the *.zip and flash it with CWM . In XDA I saw every thing

I have the same problem. I tried all ways to solve but they didn't work.
I flashed ICS Rom for my P920 from xbsall, but I had some problems about signal. The calls are always disconnected while Wifi 3G work normally.
I decided to flash v21.e ROM ( GB) again but the phone just stuck at Logo LG (I tried both kdz or bin file). Seems to be hopeless :crying:. I also realize that the Emergency mode disappeared ( The screen just flashed fast and off ).
The problem is solved if I flash ICS ROM back, but I don't want to.
Need help from you guys !

I have fixed the phone. After doing a lot of what I don't know what I do. I finally realised that one of my biggest problems was that I used a 64 bit windows 7 computer. The way I fixed mine was trough setting it in normal download mode and you smart flash to get it to an original rom. If anybody need to try what I did and need help from me, if I can provide it. You should send a PM because I am never in the LG P920 thread beacuse I was fixing a friends phone. So as for me this thread can be closed moderators.

Baseband flashing does not complete to 100% like a .bin. It normally 'fails' after 80 seconds or so in FT, around 55%. After attempting flashing, check your baseband in Settings About Phone and see what it says.

i have tried the combination VOL-DOWN+3D-KEY+POWER but proved to be of no use.

You can't use the stock recovery for flashing zip. Its not even.accessible at all
Install wkparks uboot to install custom recovery like cwm/twrp just search the forum for guide.

I just want to know the key combination for accessing the recovery mode in SU760. I don't want anything else.
We are not sure what you did, but...
Did you have custom recovery on the phone (CWM or TWRP)? You are using the correct key combination for custom recovery on SU760, at least that was the combination that was used when I was on ICS ported from SU760. I don't know about stock recovery.
So, if you cant get to it, you did something that makes it unavailable. Flashing is one way to fix that, as Karim suggests.

Hey there guys, this thread is noob friendly and is made especially for those of you who just got their first Sony phone and decided to flash a custom kernel or rom.
I am not responsible for anything that happens to your phone, use this tutorial at your own risk.
Things you'll need:
- Xperia L with Unlocked Bootloader(ofcourse haha) Look here on how to unlock your bootloader.
- Flashtool
Installing a kernel (This tutorial is for 4.2.2 only, that is 15.3.A.0.26+)
1. Download phantom kernel from here (both Phantom_modules.zip and the boot.img) Place the "Phantom_modules.zip" into your phone (sd card or internal storage) Or you can use any other kernel's boot.img
2. After installing flashtool, or if you already have it installed, open it and click on the Flash icon (the first icon from the left)
4. When it asks you to choose a bootmode, select fastboot mode and press ok.
5. After all this has done turn of your phone (Xperia L).
6. Get out your usb cable and plug it into your computer while holding the "volume up" button. (notice your phone will glow blue below, this means that it is in fastboot mode.)
7. On the pop up window where it says "By Doomlord", choose "select kernel to flash". Locate your boot.img file that you just downloaded a while ago and select it.(Notice if the boot.img file is not showing up in the file menu, on the right cornor make sure the file type is set as "*.img")
8. Be patient and wait till the kernel has been flashed, should take no longer than 10 seconds.
9. Now select "Reboot device into system" and wait for your phone to power on, now once it's powered on without any problems turn it off. Now turn on your phone and wait for a purple glow then hold down the "volume down"button. Now you'll be in CWM (clock work recovery mod) Once you're here select install from zip. Locate your "phantom_modules.zip"(or the zip file, of your kernel choice) and select yes. Wait for it to be flashed and then go back and, reboot sytem.
10. From here you can flash any kernel/rom via CWM, like Thunderzap or civic. Just boot into cwm, select install from zip and locate your kernel zip file and hit install.
Credits:
- Kernel Owners.
- Sony for their kernel source
Hit thanks if this helped you out.
I don't think that's needed to be Phantom Kernel, or any other in specific, since the kernel provide a recovery with the possibility to flash a zip, it's ok (correct if I'm wrong).
I had unlocked my bootloader, then flashed the boot.img inside of the flashable zip from ThunderZap, then, rebooted to recovery right way, and flashed the entire package from ThunderZap.
Regards and thanks for the helpfull post!

No probs
Well it was the first kernel for 4.2.2 and that's why I put it up instead. I know we can use the boot.img from thunderzap too but if I'm not specific enough most of the noobs wont understand. I also chose that kernel because it comes with a recovery so then you can just flash other kernels via cwm.
Complicated - with properly installed drivers you can start flashtool with usb-cable plugged in. After clicking the flash icon choose "Reboot into fastboot mode (via ADB)".
When the phone is in fastboot mode (blue led) choose "Select kernel to flash". No need to turn off the phone and play with cable and vol-down button...

Flash any (4.2.2) stock rom and try again. That's why your WiFi probably isn't working. Either that or you didn't flash the kernel zip file (ex thunderzap4.1.zip) after fast booting the kernel img.

I have a HUGE problem. Please help me ASAP!
I just flashed my Xperia L to CM 12.1. I was already on CM 12 before. So I went into recovery, wiped everything and installed the new ROM from zip. Everything worked fine except for the network signal. I was getting no network signal at all. So, when I rebooted the phone, I saw that the ThunderZap kernel was also removed. I tried to flash the kernel using flashtool, but this particular variant has 2 .img files (bootlp and bootkk). I flashed them both using the FlashtTool. Now, when I reboot my phone, all I see is the ThunderZap logo. Please help me ASAP, as this is my only primary driver phone.
