[Q] Downgrade sensation xe hboot to 1.17 when on s-on and bootloader unlocked.

Hi there,
I need help. I hv done s-off on my sensation xe previously and installed ICS. I managed to enjoy using ICS for about 2 months until recently my phone speaker having problem with breaking sound. I hv actually do a factory reset and reinstall ICS but it doesnt solve the sound isssue. I wanted to return it back for warranty repair. I hv managed to locked back the boatloader and s-on. But I encounter problem when I'm trying to flash the stock rom RUU_Pyramid_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.35.707.1_Radio_10.43a.9007.00U_10.51.9007.27_M3_release_198358_signed.exe. It asked me to find the right RUU for my device. I got the same error when flashing stock RUU above even after I unlocked the bootloader. I cannot do s-off using revolutionary.io method as it only support up to 1.18 bootloader. My bootloader currently is 1.23.00.
Below is what currently showing at my phone when at bootloader.

oho you did a mistake...
you need to first flash the RUU then you should do S-ON ...always when reverting back -> doing S-ON is last step...
now that you have done S-ON before RUU...you cant run any RUU which has lower firmware than you currently having ...thats why those RUU are failing...no matter what bootloader you have
the only way to revert back to S-ON with stock GB ...is to S-OFF again using JB (juopunutbear ) guide here....
then once you got the SOFF ...pleae check the cid and get the matching GB RUU ...and do the RUU run....
after running everything /reverting every thing to stock
then do S-ON step (this should be last step )

By refering to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25202517 I tried flash ControlBearRelease_pyramid_ICS_WIN through the bootloader (since I cant even go to android OS now) but I didnt get the screen as mentioned. I still cant get to Juopunutbear S-OFF. I tried flash the ROM (thru bootloader) virtuous_stock-pyramid_3.12.401.102-v1, it was successfully flashed and 'completed' but it still not able to start in android OS. I suspect maybe the firmware is not flash yet, so I download firmware for 3.12.401.102 and put the file, PG58IMG in to SD root and flash as normal. But with these 2 things I done, still no success to revive my android OS. At my bootloader still showing:

from HBOOT i can say that your fw is already 3.12..now as you are having unlocked bootloader you need to manually flash the boot.img ..other wise you will be stuck at android os
steps to flash the boot.img
1.extarct the boot.img from the rom zip file you've flashed (generally in rom zip file ->kernels folder)...if you got more than 1 boot.img...choose one...and keep the boot.img file in your adb folder (i.e in your pc)
2.then go to fastboot in your device...then connect it to pc (mobile should read "fastboot usb')
3.now type
fastboot devices (it should show your device)
then
fastboot flash boot boot.img
after this
fastboot reboot
now you will be out of bootloop...
then again follow the juopunutbear(JB) guide properly...to the letter
you will have successfull SOFF
(remember JB requires unlocked bootloader (you already have it) and Root access too)

Still boot looping after flashing virtuous_stock-pyramid_3.12.401.102-v1 and it's FW.

Please post your hboot details again.
Also please post this extra data too
Go to fastboot on device.. Connect to pc ( mobile reads fastboot usb)
Then on pc go to adb folder open a command prompt there and type this
fastboot getvar all
Post the complete output except imei and serial number.

[Q] hardware problem i want unroot and S-ON !

Several days ago I put my phone on the charger and when it charged i pulled out cable and from that moment Home button and 10 % of the left side of touch isnt responding on touch.. i have 24 month warranty ill try to replace it
now i have :

Since you have not used HTCDEV.com it will be easy for you.
First flash another bootloader (0.98.2000 or 2.00.2002 or 7.xx) You will need to use "dd" command to overwrite it, PG88IMG will not work. Do not worry you can find the proper command in the thread of 2.00.2002 ENG hboot.
After that you have to find your main version. Reboot to bootloader, connect to PC, make sure it is written "FASTBOOT USB" on the device and type: fastboot getvar version-main
After that find a RUU that contains this main version in its name (example 2.10.401.8 is for Europe) and run it.
Good luck
If you cannot find the proper RUU, type: fastboot getvar cidnum
and post it together with the main version here

Different for the warranty not for returning to Stock (it is more or less the same, instead of flashing another bootloader you have to lock it)
But for your current system specs you have to follow the steps from my previous post

now i have 2.00.2002 hboot
and version-main: 1.27.405.6 and cidnum : HTC___032
which ruu i need to flash now ?

if you unlocked your phone via htc.dev they may know that your phone was rooted and not accept your warrancy for that reason.
if you did not, you're ok. but if i am at your place i'd return phone without sd card or destroy any file or folder on it that could suggest the phone's been rooted once (nandroid backups, titanium backup files, custom roms, root explorer files, etc). don't forget about hidden files also.

I thought about it ill just transver all my files from sd card to pc and then ill format it

I have rooted last year I think I used superoneclick and now I want to S-off to get update rom so far I have:
downloaded revolutionary=Device not supported,
HTC\dev gone through webside instructions a few times flashed the unlock code they sent cmd says succesfull but it did nothing to phone which just stayed in fastboot. (tried a few times on xp and win7)
tried running the ruu from htc but that fails saying wrong version error 155 (tried a few times for some reason it wont start on my xp but runs ok on win7)
now I am stuck, could anyone please help?

First:
In order to use revolutionary s-off, you'd need to lower your software version number(misc_version)
1. Lock your bootloader- fastboot oem lock
2, then flash correct RUU -matching your CID
3.use revolutionary....
Second:
As you state in your bootloader screen info,
, htcdev unlock worked indeed- your bootloader is UNLOCKED-as you've said yourself-
, that's what it does...
Third:
If you wish to update-as you said-then update to what?
a) official RUU saga 4.0.4:
1.and foremost- you must lock your bootloader again in order to flash a RUU
2.if your device is branded by any mobile carrier- must create gold card
, in order to flash WWE version of the RUU
3. Certainly you flash that in fastboot
b) custom ics rom:
1. There are many to chose from- much more sofisticated than the official RUU 4.0.4 release
2. Not need to s-off realy in order to flash most of them
3. You only have to flash boot.img from the rom you're flashing,, via fastboot (again)

Keep unlock_token from htc- in a safe place because
, if you decide to upgrade by the official RUU
, you must unlock bootloader again in order to flash any custom rom
, and you do it by that same key (unlock_token)....
When there are any troubles with connection < pc- phone > check your windows drivers

I see now where I was going wrong thanks I thought I had to unlock the Hboot by making it s-off to flash official rom of ics, thats why it was failing because its unlocked.

All I can access in Fastboot and Recovery, How the heck am I suppost to get s-off, or SuperCID if I have no OS?

Hello, I find that to get SuperCID and S-Off only works if you have a ROM that has Sense on it. Try this:
Bobby, flash to the latest TWRP 2.8.0.1. Download it and type in "Fastboot Flash Recover (TWRP file).zip"
This should allow you to install the ROM. Go into TWRP recover in "Recovery" in "Bootloader" menu.
Download ViperOne Rom and in install it. (Hopefully it will load and bootup)
If it doesn't get past the Logo screen go into the "Bootloader" on the phone (Power + Volume Down). Connect it to your USB and make sure it's says "Fastboot USB". Extract "boot_hboot2.15.img" in the ZIP (in Kernal Folder).
Put the file in the same folder in your Fastboot/ADB . Type in "Fastboot Flash Boot boot_hboot2.15.img" and is should allow you to start up the ViperOne ROM.
From there you should be able to do your SuperCID and S-off. (Make sure your Rooted, SuperSU, and Busybox is installed before doing SuperCID and S-off)
Licifer2203, Try the same thing and it you should be able to get S-off.

Problems with stock firmware

Ok so i have Htc Desire S here after flashing custom rom i had 0 luck getting back to stock firmware basically im having hard time finding ruu that will work for me so i though maybe one of you can help here

Is ur phone carrier unlocked?
Also before u run any ruu, u must relock ur bootloader using fastboot commands otherwise the ruu wont work. The command is
fastboot oem lock

Then press find files, ul see the link there its a WWE RUU and its 404 mb. That should work. Just relock ur bootloader first or it wont work.

Omg thanks man i tried so many ruu's none worked thanks and thanks again it worked my Desire S is back to stock (happiness overload)
