Hey guys
I could need some suggestions, which new phone (Android ofc) I should buy.
The price group is between 200-300€ and the phone has to have a dual-core processor and minimum 500mba of ram.A good screen resolution is preferred too
My favorite at the moment:
LG optimus L7 II
Price: 249€ *-*
Processor: Dual-core 1Ghz
Ram: 780mb
Screen: 4.3 inch with 800x480 resolution (~214ppi)
Android: 4.1.2 with LG UI
Full phone specifications: http://www.gsmarena.com/lg_optimus_l7_p700-4565.php
This phone seems to be the best for its price.
Anyone knows a better one maybe?
Don't want to buy it and then find out that there's a better one for same price ^^
And another important question:
Do you think this phone will have developer support?
Thanks in advance

Nexus 4 8Gb 300€
There is nothing comparable
It's sold out almost everywhere here in Germany and if someone has it on stock the price is about 350€ for the 8gb version :/

Instead of optimus l7 try l9.
Most better than ur favorite one...
But quite costly than l7.
Just google it....:thumbup::thumbup:
l7
I'd say l7 is a great choice for your price range.
Galaxy S2! (International version)

LOL. This phone has the SAME specs as the upcoming BLU Life View. Price is around there too.
It's a shame to hear that the phone I was going to buy is a cheap chinese phone.
The Nexus 4 is always a great deal.
I'd recommend a Nexus4; solid phone; affordable price

My differenciate b/w Optimus one and galaxy Y
..which may b the best one?
Sent from My Optimus one using Popdogz Oxygen aosp ♥
Your current phone has
A larger screen (3.2 inches compared to 3.0)
Better Resolution (320 x 480 compared to 240 x 320)
Better Camera (3.15mega pixels compared to 2.0)
Larger internal storage (170mb compared to 160)
The Samsung has
A Faster processor (832mhz compared to 600)
...erm, that's it
For the price the Samsung is not a bad phone (about $150USD if anyone out there was wondering) but for you it's not worth it for just a faster processor.
Hope that helps
its good

I have galaxy nexus, and what i think is, if we look at the perfomance, with the latest JELLY BEAN 4.1 update, galaxy nexus is the most smooth smartfone.
You should consider buying it. It is in your budget and you will love it

Plus one for this, love mine. Only consider this if lack of expandable storage and no removable battery is not an issue for you.
It has a great screen, looks great and Sense 4.0 is a polished and useful UI.

I was far more satisfied with the HTC, I've now bought a HTC X one.
one rule I learned - whatever you choose go with the mainstream. The more popular phone, the more support you get, more phone, more roms, more devs..
got a friend stuck with Huawei.. what a pain to browse all these chinese and russian forums
Verizon - sgs3
T-Mobile - sgs3
Sprint - evo 4g lte, and sgs3 are tied IMO.

Galaxy SIII or Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy Note, HTC One X/EVO 4G LTE
Galaxy Nexus on Google Play Store - SGS3/One X/ EVO 4G LTE/ Note I'd consider ebay.
I've even found someone selling a EVO LTE in my are for $225 with an otterbox and a few cases........less than a month old. I'd consider it except I don't have Sprint.
Samsung Galaxy Nexus.....on JB, its faster than S III on ICS. And S III will not get upgrades for ever...Nexus will! Or at least for a very long time.
Galaxy Mini is the best :good: lol
LG OPTIMUS ME better than the iPhone.
Galaxy Nexus!!!!

Either GNexus or sgs3. That simple!
I just checked out the One S and SSG3. They are both pretty strong phones depending on what you are looking for. :cyclops:
well ive been looking for an android smartphone i was using the lg optimus one the p505 phoenix it was really good but now i want something bigger
i was seeing the nexus one but i ve told that it has hardware problems that is not good so what others model can you suggest me to buy of course the one goes cheaper i meant 100-110 us on ebay
Hi, a phone is a phone is a phone ? Except when it gets silly looking a becomes a "phablet !"
I run a Samsung Galaxy GT-S5570 (mini) yes its small, but it does what I bought it for...
However if you are a power user I would choose a Droid Razor MAX its got a 31 or 3300Mh/amp battery, plenty juice to run your apps or WiFi all day-then some.
Then again if you just want a smart Droid that can do it all, I can't see past Samsung's range.
Check which flavour your new phone will run and if its going to get a newer version.
Hope this helps, good luck happy hunting
P.S. Don't be afraid to ask a salesman to boot up a fresh one,if you see one you fancy and the display version is dead or a dummy.
Regards Angela

No to the HTC wildfire s, it will be a downgrade in terms of specs and software, only upgrade is build quality and camera.
The HTC mytouch 4g is a nice upgrade and has a decent sized screen. Its a great choice

Well, as the title reads, which phone should I get next? My AT&T contract will be fulfilled in the next couple of months so, I've been looking at available AT&T phones. I currently have an HTC Desire Z and I love the size of it - easy to put in and take out of my jeans pocket. Most of the new phones I see are so big they should come with a back pack for them. Can anyone recommend a late model, fast phone that isn't as huge as the HTC One X and Samsung G3? And, please don't say "Iphone".
No offence but they don't sell those phones without camera anymore welcome to 2012 almost 13 everything is big now TV's cellphones etc

I think ~5" is the perfect size for a smartphone - big enough screen to see things and enjoy it, but small enough to still use effectively with one hand.
Honestly, I remember the first cell-phone I ever used and it was WAY bigger.
If you do want something smaller, though - I don't know, I'd probably look at international phones that would work with ATT, or just go into an ATT store or such and look around. The Galaxy S3 Mini is smaller, but I don't know how well it will work on ATT and what you could expect (it lacks LTE, I've heard). It also depends on the performance you're expecting.
have you considered one of those quality Chinese android handsets ?
things like the Newman N1, GooPhone, ZTE V970 etc ?
I think you should go with Galaxy S3. I am also using this phone last some months it's a superb mobile phone bacase it has 4.8 inch Superb Super AMOLED display with saturated colors and high contrast with 8 megapixel camera with autofocus, flash and HD video recording, 4.0 android operating system, Quad-core 1.4 GHz Processor and 2050 mAh battery capacity. You can read full details here:

Thanks for all the replies! I do plan to look around the AT&T store but sometimes its a little overwhelming when I start diving into the specs for every phone.
I was not aware of the "quality" made chinese phones; I may look into that.
Thanks again for the help and if there are anymore recommendations please, keep them coming.

Well i have an s3 and a note 2 but i gotta say the new iphone 5 is the best it beats most droid phones.
If i could afford one i would get one.

Getting my kid a new phone for Christmas (she has my old Droid X). Was contemplating an IPhone, soley because of the incredible speech-to-text features (something my Bionic is woefully poor at) Sales dude at Verizon showed me what a Samsung can do in that realm....was utterly impressed....no diference from the 'Sirry' IPhone thing (apparently it hinges on a google service)
what's your budget? Desire z is mid range so if your budget is about the same then look at Galaxy S2.
Budget will be determined by AT&T having a phone I will settle with on a contract extension so, I guess my budget will be $200~300.

Best phone on the market at the minute (*arguably*) is the ASUS Padfone 2.. but sadly it isn't available in the US (no US release date mentioned yet either).. so would probably say the LTE version of the Samsung Galaxy S3 would be a contender..
I'm not really looking at the IPhone 5 but will the IPhone 5 sync with my google contacts and google calendar? That's one thing I really like about the android phones. From my research the iphone 5 can be made to sync with all my google stuff but how effective/accurate is it? Are there any bugs or issues with this?

I just took the Huawei U8836d shine and i'm very happy with it. Changed the stock rom to custom and has great battery life than other chinese brands. Great design. gorilla glass and sturdy materials plus very thin and comfortable. Check it out.
I recommend Samsung Galaxy Note II , it's really amazing phone very fast , smooth and got the latest Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean

Galaxy Ace for your Preffered Size
I would Suggest to go for Samsung Galaxy Ace or You can Opt for Huawei Ascend.
I will suggest you to don't go for small screen size as 2013 will be the Year of Big Screens so if you are willing then go for Note II you will love it and Also will get use to its Big Size.

Tamour

Hello everybody, I'm a bit confused to choose the best phone on my price range.
So in your opinion which mobile should be the best from my list if we compare, processor, ram, sd mini card availability, screen quality, battery life and so on. Maybe I should take some different phone with similar specifications ?
I got couple of them:
*LG E610 Optimus L5
*Sony ST25i Xperia U
*Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray ST18
*Sony ST23i Xperia Miro
*LG P700 Optimus L7
Any suggestions I will appreciate, thanks indeed.

unfortunately isn't on my budget, p.s. I already had samsung galaxy s and wouldn't be keen to have again
What is your budget ? Are you buying off-contract or carrier-subsidised ?
There are a few good web-sites where you can compare phones side-by-side, I used them myself when I was shopping around.

Not bad. Do you tried to find something used?
When I was first looking, my budget was similar (then I decided to spend a little extra). I would definitely check out used phones. I think I'd been considering a Galaxy S II at that price point, but don't know if you could do better, I think the Galaxy Nexus was a bit more - but I'd check and see if the prices have come down since the Nexus 4's now come out.

Go for the Xperia u you can find it for 150euro but I don't suggest you an android phone for the budget instead go for a wp7.5 / 8 , like the Lumia 620 because wp is much more lighter and fluid on budget phones.
