Will Best Buy release different colors of Transformer TF300T soon?

Anybody have any info on whether the other colors will be coming soon? I have the blue one I bought from best buy, but really wanted a white version....so i can return mine within the 30 day period and get the white one lol

if they haven't released colors for the previous models yet, i doubt they ever will for any of them.

Everyone is getting them in june....but white in plastic looks cheap...havent u seen the sprint galasy s2 ??

I've got a sneaking supicion that the textured ridges on the back of the tablet might trap dirt and make the white model look pretty ratty after a while.
At any rate, taht's what I told myself in order to justify buying the blue one instead of sitting around waiting for the wihte one to come out.

very true! I wonder why they like to flaunt different colors and then never release them to the US!? SMH

Red and blue would be the best bets. The white fades and scuffs easily. I imagine the ridges would show a lot of dust/dirt as well.
Bestbuy isn't great at carrying alternate colors unless its something exclusive to them. I doubt they will have them. The time table last i heard for them to come out was in late June.

I like the Blue TF300, but white isn't always cheap looking, my Galaxy Note i717 looks pretty darn sexy in White and Chrome.

Exactly....thats at&t ....same as tmobile galaxy s2 white...sexy as hell but, sprint cheap white looks like s#it.
And the plastic on this tablet looks cheap but blue makes it look better.

Don't you think if people knew the exact dates, they'd post them?
There hasn't been any dates announced by Asus. Since the release of the blue TF300, June has been the expected time frame for the release of the red and white versions, but nothing is certain on that. As for the TF700, summer or early fall are the main rumors I've heard, but again, no exact dates.

Thanks, I seen the red this morning myself, none available in any stores near me yet, just online for now.....I think ill be returning my blue for the red, the one I have now has light bleed on all 4 sides, and my keyboard dock looks like it might have been refurbished or something because the part that connects the tablet to the dock is a different color like a light blue than the tab and the rest of the dock itself....weird.....

Got ya, I should be making the trade next week, but if they arent in the store by then i'll have to order it and wait the 5 days....

I just got the Note 3 yesterday.
Let me make it clear by saying that I enjoyed every minute of owning the S4.
But I did start a thread saying I'll probably move to the N3 when it's released.
I actually moved from the Note1 to the S4.
I'm moved from the Note 1 to the S4 primarily because of the high-resolution screen and the LTE 4G.
But I was never really comfortable because the screen on the S4 was small something that I felt suffocated , claustrophobic.
My main concern or lets day apprehension was the possible difference in PPI.

Yes it's there with the s4 vs n3 but not as much.
It's mostly there with apps that haven't adapted to the large format I think.

Hope you enjoy your new device. For me personally, the S4 is as big as I'd ever want a daily carry smartphone to be. I'm a big guy, but anything larger than the S4 is just firmly into the Phablet category for me. And the battery life on my S4 has been outstanding with Juice Defender installed.

I used my iPad far less when I had my Note 1. Mostly when I was reading rss feeds & found with mobile versions.

the s4 is indeed perfect for the majority.

Shame its got the same crappy camera as the S4 (no image stabilisation)
Otherwise it's an awesome phone I must admit!

Does it has a guest mode ?????

I also came from the Note1 to the S4 and also very keen to get Note3 for the bigger screen, but yes, the camera isn't great for a 13mp. Also, just wish my fingers were longer to hold the N3 like the S4. Also i see they have dropped the FM radio in all the phones now... damn, i used to use it a lot. Note1 had FM, S4 and N3 not. Or maybe wait for S5, maybe screen slightly bigger bridging the gap a bit more to the Note 3... dunno... ramblings of a musthavenewphoneaholic

The worst part about note 3 Is being region lock SIM. I hate what Samsung is trying to impose on us.

Weird I came to s4 from note 2 but note 3 does not interest me? Maybe note 4.
Found note 2 too big in summer wearing shorts. Maybe in 6 months when note 3 is cheaper and a swap plus some cash?

Can you see the difference in screen brightness? Apparently the screen on the Note 3 is brighter than the Galaxy S4.

How were you holding your Note 1 ?
The N3 isn't that different from the N1.

That has nothing to do with the phone. Thats a management/administrative issue with Samsung as a corp.
Plus, just buy it from your region ?

Maybe the reduction from 5.5 to 5.0 didn't affect you.
It did for me when I went from 5.3 to 5.0 (N1 to S4).

I immediately saw a difference. Plus the S4 screen has a yellow tint, or the N3 has a white'ish tint.
I assumed the S4 was yellower and less bright because itd been used for a few months.

Its not easy. I don't have long fingers. Its about learning how to maneuver your fingers to secure a firm grip.

What do you mean? I'm running GO Launcher not TouchWiz.
Sure , I haven't removed touch wiz and its probably eating ram & CPU processing but what can I do ?

The delete icon is back on top in the gallery.
For some reason in the previous version they replaced the delete icon with the last used shared icon.
So to delete a picture you'd have to enter menu then find the delete button then press it, then confirm.
Now its an icon on top next to share and last used.
What a relief.
Why would they bury it in the menu settings anyways?

It looks like the Note 3 is better under sunlight.
What I hate with Note 3 is the high price and the fact that you need 2 hands for everything on it,apart the big screen it has nothing better

Note III isn't that "BIG" change from S4 i don't own the device but i didn't get "i must get it" since 4.3 update gets most of the "features i've seen" on the note III the new browser etc,
and if you wan't more note III features well, we can use the apps from the leak
also stock browser have been better, new thing is bad, loading pages isn't going as it once used to

I had a play around with a Note 3 a couple of days ago and I came to the same conclusion that I did with the Note 2 before it. Namely that it's too big to be practical as a mobile phone and too small to be a tablet. And that's coming from someone with big hands.
It looks lovely but it's not for me, the S4 at 5" is the perfect size for a mobile phone. And the screen looks smoother due to the increased DPI.
One thing that does interest me is the bootloader. Does it come with Knox by default?

Galaxy S4 Black Edition experiences

Hi there, everyone!
I noticed there was not yet a thread for the new S4 Black Edition. In about 20 days I will get one, but I would like to hear some experiences from people who have already got one.
When mine arrives I will post my findings here as well.
What is the advantage over the Black Mist colour? Does the back feel nice? Does anybody know whether this version will get slower updates than the earlier models?

I've got the Black Edition for a week now and I can happely say I love it!
I have had the Black Mist one but this one has got a much better premium feel.
I really love how the front is finally completely black, as opposing to the ugly black the Black Mist had.
The back of the device feels really awesome. Grip is so much better and you can't stop rubbing your fingers over it because it feels so nice.
If you get the change to buy a Galaxy S4 I would not look further and go with the Black Edtion. You won't regret it.
About updates, it's just the same old i9505, just another color and back. You will get updates as fast as the others get updates.

About updates is not true. Black edition gets separate updates from regular i9505, because of the wallpapers and ringtones. So the OTA updates will be slower than others.

Ah, I might have said that because I wanted KitKat so I flashed the latest available rom for the i9505.

I was going too pick one up today because in my region (Cambodia) they previously sold only the i9500 and I read that the Black Edition was the i9505. My bubble was busted at the phone shop today when I saw that it was an i9500. And the quality of the back cover was pretty meh. The fit around the camera was sloppy, and the gloss of the leather grain texture was very inconsistent. But from a distance, it looked fantastic. The normally bright chrome strip on the side had a really nice smoked tint that looked great with the black. Too bad it was just another i9500 :/

Yes. Apparently it depends on region. I was under the impression that it was i9505 only until I saw the i9500 Special Edition this morning.

Hi there
When I saw the black edition online I sold my black mist and baught this one straight away.
It feels perfect. Go on and buy it. It is and feels much more premium than the other one.
As they say it is like the s4 should have been from the start.
The only thing is that the other one was already on 4.4.2 here in Greece and the new one (Slovakia model) is on 4.3
I just hope that the update is gonna come soon. I have to agree that it should have separate update from the other models due to the different wallpapers and ringtones.
All in all a perfect choice. :
BTW the metal rim is much darker than the shiny one on the black mist version.

Great design ! But which is the firmware inside ? I think it's impossible to find a black edition with an old firm an old bootloader...

Me too!! Only wished samsung themed touchwiz all black. Or black with red or blue accents. It would just make the phone more perfect than it already is.

Also bought the black edition. Great phone with cool looks! Still waiting for 4.4.2. Only thing missing is a "black edition" s-view cover. If you want to use a s-view cover you lose the faux leather back plate ?
I didn't install knox but it certainly is knox ready.

Interesting reading,
In the uk phones4u are selling it both contract and sim free. It looks very slick and I need a new phone but conscious about buying what in tech terms is now an aging processor. Especially with the reports of kitkat lag on the gs4.
It looks awesome and is the full i9505 model

I intend to buy the blue version :good::victory:. And I know I am not alone... Since it is the best color, almost everyone will buy it.
The problem is, I dont want to buy the Phone on day one ..because I first want to wait for reviews\tests\comparisons , AND want to see on this forum if its bootloader will be unlockable, and also for other reasons.
But then I risk that the Blue version will be sold out.
This is my first OP device, so I am asking people with OP experience:
how long does it take for them to bring the sold out color back? Or is it possible that the color option will be gone forever???

I think it largely depends on if the blue is a limited edition or anything like that. If its just one of the regular colors it should be back in stock eventually even if it sells out at first. If it's a special edition like the thunder purple then I wouldn't expect it to be back in stock any time soon.

Is it true that the top model (12/256) is only in blue available? I would prefer a black version.

My understanding is that this weekend (USA) the blue and the Grey will be available. I'm torn between the Blue and the Almond (which isn't coming out until June).
I think the blue will sell out but I also think it will NOT be a special edition.

I saw a rumor that they would introduce a Red model at some point. Don't know how accurate it that rumor is or what country but it would make sense.

My McLaren eventually ended up in a case so the color is not relevant for me. I will get the biggest RAM and storage available regardless of color...
