I intend to buy the blue version :good::victory:. And I know I am not alone... Since it is the best color, almost everyone will buy it.
The problem is, I dont want to buy the Phone on day one ..because I first want to wait for reviews\tests\comparisons , AND want to see on this forum if its bootloader will be unlockable, and also for other reasons.
But then I risk that the Blue version will be sold out.
This is my first OP device, so I am asking people with OP experience:
how long does it take for them to bring the sold out color back? Or is it possible that the color option will be gone forever???
I Live in Germany (if this is important)..
I think it largely depends on if the blue is a limited edition or anything like that. If its just one of the regular colors it should be back in stock eventually even if it sells out at first. If it's a special edition like the thunder purple then I wouldn't expect it to be back in stock any time soon.

Is it true that the top model (12/256) is only in blue available? I would prefer a black version.
My understanding is that this weekend (USA) the blue and the Grey will be available. I'm torn between the Blue and the Almond (which isn't coming out until June).
I think the blue will sell out but I also think it will NOT be a special edition.

I saw a rumor that they would introduce a Red model at some point. Don't know how accurate it that rumor is or what country but it would make sense.

My McLaren eventually ended up in a case so the color is not relevant for me. I will get the biggest RAM and storage available regardless of color...

Anybody have any info on whether the other colors will be coming soon? I have the blue one I bought from best buy, but really wanted a white version....so i can return mine within the 30 day period and get the white one lol

I've got a sneaking supicion that the textured ridges on the back of the tablet might trap dirt and make the white model look pretty ratty after a while.
At any rate, taht's what I told myself in order to justify buying the blue one instead of sitting around waiting for the wihte one to come out.

very true! I wonder why they like to flaunt different colors and then never release them to the US!? SMH
Red and blue would be the best bets. The white fades and scuffs easily. I imagine the ridges would show a lot of dust/dirt as well.
Bestbuy isn't great at carrying alternate colors unless its something exclusive to them. I doubt they will have them. The time table last i heard for them to come out was in late June.

I like the Blue TF300, but white isn't always cheap looking, my Galaxy Note i717 looks pretty darn sexy in White and Chrome.

Exactly....thats at&t ....same as tmobile galaxy s2 white...sexy as hell but, sprint cheap white looks like s#it.
And the plastic on this tablet looks cheap but blue makes it look better.

Don't you think if people knew the exact dates, they'd post them?
There hasn't been any dates announced by Asus. Since the release of the blue TF300, June has been the expected time frame for the release of the red and white versions, but nothing is certain on that. As for the TF700, summer or early fall are the main rumors I've heard, but again, no exact dates.

Thanks, I seen the red this morning myself, none available in any stores near me yet, just online for now.....I think ill be returning my blue for the red, the one I have now has light bleed on all 4 sides, and my keyboard dock looks like it might have been refurbished or something because the part that connects the tablet to the dock is a different color like a light blue than the tab and the rest of the dock itself....weird.....

I am looking to find out what the difference is between the EU and UK version of the note, with there being no stock of the grey note in the UK what effect would buying the EU version off Expansys. Are the difference noticeable, and is it likely that apps that are meant for the UK will not work? BBC I player, sky go(if its ever released) etc.
I have read that you can change the CSC to make it think it is a UK version, how easy is this to do nd does it void the warrenty having to flash a new rom onto it to change the CSC?
I have been putting off buying g the note to try get the grey one but starting to worry if its not released soon something new will be released and I'll just want to wait to get that so I'm now considering getting the white one. Not that I need to hear the pros and cons f white over grey, I've read the other posts

Can't help with changing it but I got fed up and bought the white, glad I did as it's my first tablet and cleaning the screen has become a OCD experiencet for me! Thankfully finger marks don't show up as easily on the white bezel. A nice cheap case but great quality (Poetic from Amazon £7.95) has made it a real joy to use.
If it helps, although I have a UK Note 10.1, earlier thus year I bought the EU note 5.3 from expansys. There is no difference in functionality of the device in the UK. Able to access all apps as usual from the market. With regard to updates, you get them when they are being rolled out in the country of the device's origin...that is unless you change the csc. On device set up, you may find initially that setup instructions are in the language of the device's country of origin. When phone is setup though, language automatically changes to English. I would expect no difference with an EU Note 10.1.

Yes the import trackers show that HTC has stopped importing the device ages back, been 5-6 months now. So, the only devices are available are the ones already here. (Same goes for M8/M8 Eye).
I didnt see this color in the chinese stores (only gold and white silver), so maybe this one is the International version? Some stores in Switzerland has stock now.

Agreed. It is a ladies color. Well, please let me know if that site works out for you. If its a winner, id be to return my gold one and pay the extra bucks to get the color I want.

I'm looking forward on buying the Silver (Titanium Gray) one as hell too, unfortunately only a couple of swiss(!) e-shops sell them very very expensive... Wtf is going on, i don't really get it... Huawei screwed it up really bad with those color variations. I hate gold as i hate that ugly champaign silver (i dont see any silver on that anyway). I would appreciate any help from you guys as i want to join ya asap!

they did not screw it actually, in fact the phone sells well in china, the problem is that the market in Europe for extra large screen phones is close to 0% compared to all other phones, and that's the sad sad true. Maybe one day Europe will understand and embrace the big screen phones, and maybe ... just maybe one day we will have a decent market so that China extends its selling points to Europe as well for those amazing phones ... i got mine from china anyways xD (bug gold, anyways i wanted to try gold once in my life)
Eh, colors have nothing to do with the market share really, also ebay does the job for me pretty well. An all black handset would be the ideal one for my taste but the grey one would be ok too, unfortunately the gold or the champaign are a deal breaker for me. What i was wondering also is if the device supports mhl/tv out, doesn't it?

From what I know the only colors for the US are. Silver, black and orchid gray
At launch, the US will only get Midnight Black, Arctic Silver, and Orchid Gray. I've heard that the Coral Blue might be an exclusive unlocked model when I asked about that color at Best Buy, but no confirmation on that. All I know about the unlocked variant is that it should come out in May or somewhere around there.
went to bb to get one for my girlfriend and they said they are not selling them b/c of a problem , they never said what the problem was

Initially, for a month only Gold and black versions were available. Coral Blue is available for S8+ only here in INDIA. Trust me it looks fantastic. And the color shades change/look different from different viewing angles. You can never go wrong with Croal blue/Orchid Grey. These look much better than the Midnight Black and Maple Gold versions.
