Is there a method to not be forced to reinstall titanium after every flash? - T-Mobile LG G2x

Probably seems like a dumb question, but after every time I flash a ROM I have to redownload titanium from the market to restore all my backed up applications. I'm assuming every time I reinstall titanium after a flash it uses data. Is there a method where I don't have to download titanium again after every flash from the play store?

Within the Titanium Backup app there is an option to make flashable version to install when you flash your ROM.
Within TiBu
Press Menu Soft Key
Scroll down to special features
select create update.zip

These are the settings I use
Than just move the file to root of your SD card
I flash after ROM and kernel, but before Gapps

No problem. Basically, a few apps use the Device ID (incorrectly if you ask me) to identify who you are, rather than using your Play Store login. Those apps might lose data/savegames or even become unregistered (if bought outside the Play Store) if your device ID changes. I had that happen with a social game I was playing. Restored from TiBu but game data was missing. Turns out they saved on the cloud using Device ID rather than play store ID, MAC Hash or IMEI Hash (all much more valid than using Device ID)..
Some developers pull that c**p so that you can only use a purchased app on ONE device, regardless of your play store ID.
TiBu is just giving you the chance to restore your previous ID to prevent such problems.

well everytime it asks me that I restore my previous ID.....is that the right thing to do? lol

I updated mine last night manually. A couple people in the App and Themes section shared the apk. It's a pretty nice update. The only thing that sucks is you can't watch rented movies on rooted devices. It'll let you rent them and pay your money, but then you're given an error if your device is rooted.
Idk I did it manually lastnight

I removed su and Superuser.apk and it worked. I have a rooted install in a nandroid backup, so if I want root again, I just have to restore the backup.
Just installed this update on my stock, unrooted G2x. I have no issues but I had to reboot after the install. This is a major update from the old version.

It was automatic on mine I was on the old market a couple of seconds before closed it killed all the apparently the idk why I reopened it and to my surprise it was different.
Oh and I'm rooted stock haven't tried the movies.

You should be able to force update the market app on any Android phone and rom. Check out my thread in the Themes and Apps section.
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA Premium App
Updated manually as soon as the apk was out. I have one complain though: When searching for apps, games pop out in the mix. If I'm searching for possible apps to install, I don't want to have to go by categories. That's just a minor thing though, I absolutely love the new market overall...

No, but Im guessing there is more than a 60 min difference between your phone and At&t device network time.See if clearing the data/cache or uninstall /reinstall. Or changing time 60 mins ahead or back.

Weird, it was caused because of my miui rom. For some reason this rom doesn't use gps or whatever to auto update time and date. I had to go into time settings and adjust time zone to eastern time which put my phone 4 hours back (not sure why) than I had to manually adjust time to current time. Now the app works. Just another bug I guess.

That doesn't look too hard to do, just a framework patch or two.
It says it may work with ICS as well.
I might give it a try when I get home.
EDIT:
VERY do-able by anyone who can compile. I have yet to find time to set up my box yet, but anyone who has been able to compile from JZO54K should have NO issues diff-ing this over.
Maybe this is the push I need to get cracking at building from source again?

If you're wondering where you can get MiLocker, it's on the Play Store for free. Download, install, download the lockscreen you want, apply.
Yea, what he said. Lockscreens can be searched, seen and downloaded from within MiLocker.
I checked the play store and the only mi that pops up is milauncher. There is an mxlocker but no mi. Guess I'm on an unsupported ROM or something?

MagicLocker Main by lockscreen.mobi is an app just like MiLocker, has an average rating of 4.3, and was updated just a few minutes ago to version 1.5.7. This is a good alternative to MiLocker IMO if you cannot find it in the Play Store.

A flashable zip of what? The OP asks if someone could port it.
Erm, I mean a flashable zip of the ported version . I looked through the original thread and find it hard to use the diff patch, so even if there is a ported version I won't really be able to apply it, hence the request.

[Guide] How to install Google L keyboard on your rooted device

Thanks to @bejunk
As seen here you can get the files to add the Google L stock keyboard onto your device
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2796129
you have to manual install.
1. extract all files.
2. move the ''LatinImeGoogle.apk'' to /system/app; long press on APK, choose change permissions, now make the ticks like in attached picture.
3. move the ''libjni_latinimegoogle.so'' to /system/lib; like above, long press, & change permissions.
4. reboot system, then go to settings & activate keyboard

This worked great. I love the look and it seems google finally figured out how to give more word choices. Does anyone know if there's a way to enable the long-press secondary keys? Its the one thing that slows down my typing.
Or simply use the .apk for non-rooted devices. That's been working great on my rooted device.

What about rooted but no recovery?
My S5 is rooted but doesn't have a custom recovery because I don't plan on doing any heavy modding, like flashing ROMs or anything. The 'no-root' apk didn't work, but I can't flash a zip... What do I do?
Did you get some kind of error message when you tried to install the .apk?
