[Q] I've lost my second sim on dual sim mobile

Hi All, first post here sorry, if its in the wrong section.
Not sure which section to post in. I have included the html infomation.
I bought a dual sim android 2.2.2 froyo on fleebay from China, which claims to be a verizon type. The phone take a 3G sim only in slot 1 and any non 3G in slot 2.
My problem is that I put a 3G sim in slot 1 and a 2G in slot 2 and when I boot up both show up ok but then sim2 disappears within minutes.
I have tried different service providers in sim2 but to no avail.
In the About section in Settings it says its a model number: P801W. Android version: 2.2.2 Kernel version: 2.6.35-7. Build number: FRG83G. Software version: iris_p801w_v1.17. Hardware version: IRIS_MP. Also the Baseband version is the same as the software version. I think that I must flash the ROM? Any help in the right direction would help. Thanks ..

yes I have rooted the mobile I used superone after trying others, but as yet I have not flashed it.
not sure how and what ROM to try, I have titanium back up pro but it asks for a modem I think. not sure which one in the list to chose.
I think that the second sim's IMEI number has been blocked because what ever sim I put in the slot after a couple of minutes it gets block and that is why I lose the second sim.
If I were able to change the second IMEI number I think that would cure my problem.
there does'nt seam to be much on the net about that thow.

Dear Friends Am From INDIA,
friends am new here and am in big trouble i have buyed star X18i From Hongkong one of the seller has sold and am getting Network error every time when i try to call its showing an error containing Mobile network not available i am think that its a IMEI Problem i have tried all carrier sim cards but no use please help me this phone is of no use with out calling function, all other functions are working awesome and when i open about phone option its showing Android 4.0 so please tell me what should i do my dear friends????

Either the leaked/ported 4.0 rom the phone has has baseband issues
Or
Its locked to a carrier

Mobile network not available
I bought a Star X18i in July, 2012. Android Version is 4.0.3, kernel version is 2.6.35.7
And I changed imei with this method;
For IMEI 1,
echo 'AT+EGMR=1,7,"123456789012345"' >/dev/pttycmd1
For IMEI 2,
echo 'AT+EGMR=1,10,"123456789012345"' >/dev/pttycmd1
imei changed, but mobile network is still turned off even though I have used a registered imei from another old phone. Same issue here

Problem solved. SIM1 and SIM2 are marked as opposite on the label under the battery.
The other problem is;
- Snapshot button does not work in Google Goggles and FXCamera applications.
- Drivea application sometimes does not display red and white lines.
I cleared data and cache, but I don't know how to figure out this issue.

Need to unlock SIM

I have a Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000M which has the SIM locked to Bell Canada.
Firmware: 2.3.3
Baseband Version: I9000UGKG3
Kernel Version : 2.6.35.7-I9000UGKG3 [email protected] #2
Build number: GINGERBREAD.GKG3
I have tried flashing a half dozen to a dozen different ROMs using the latest version of ODIN and following the given procedures. None of them have led me to getting the SIM lock removed. They either brick my phone, or just leave it still SIM locked to Bell Canada. Fortunately the download function continues to work and I have been able to get the phone unbricked by applying I9000UGKG3_I9000BMCKG3_BMC, or I9000UGKG3_I9000BMCKG3_VMC. One doubt that I have is whether I am identifying the correct ROM files from this XDA web site.
Could someone direct me to the right files and procedures for getting this phone SIM unlocked so that I can use my SIM from Public Mobile?

Hey guys I'm not aware much into upgrading rooting flashing etc my phone might be region locked when I insert sim it says Sim not Allowed at some Sim cards says sim not inserted on differet sim operators founds it but wont work properly cant dial cant do anything I've searched and read everywhere but I CANT SEEM TO FIND exact info for my model
Please Direct me to I need to root and region unlock it I really don't know what should I do
Device: SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 I have some AT&T applications I think it matters if it's AT&T or not
Android Version: 4.2.2 (I did hard reset it was 4.2.2 and still is)
Baseband Version: I337UCUAMF3

Greetings and welcome to xda, the fact that it says selinux status permissive makes me suspicious that the phone has been tampered with. I'm not certain whether it can be region unlocked but if you ask your question here

Invalid SIM card

I have an S5 Sprint (G900P).
Bought and using it from outside USA.
And it was unlocked for international use.
I could use 2G and 3G on it.
But was unable to find and connect to 4G.
So in order to enable 4G, other than doing various things, I ended up reseting 'provisioning parameters to factory defaults' using ##72786#
Since then I am unable to use SIM.
It says, "Invalid SIM card"
Seems like I have lost unlock!
Now what options am I left with to make SIM work again on it?
Build number: MOAR v7.0 OA6
Software version: G900PVPU3BOK4
Android version: 5.0
Baseband version: G900PVPU3BOK4

you re-simlocked it. that factory reprovisioning thing you did undid the unlock process. Your options are to get the simunlock code from sprint and if the ROM asks you for the code when you put card in, unlock it that way. But if the phone doesnt ask you for an unlock code, youre likely gonna need the services of a 3rd party unlock company. there are a couple of members on here that have done some unlocks for free or with a donation to them. @stifilz and @asadnow2k. Otherwise, i personally recommend idoneapps.com
