Error 131 may correspond with wrong ruu you're trying to flash,
CID- in other words- describes region...
In order to avoid errors during flashing, you should find
a RUU matching your device's CID...
Example: if your CID is 0_32.- means for example eastern Europe-or something,
you must find ruu that'll be matching that region(or operator's-if the phone was branded) code
You might search more about that code, and what it means,
by google.
Try also to visit the thread from the link I've posted in help thread...

Running a RUU for a different device might get your phone bricked.
Have you created a gold card?

but how can i tell if my bootloader is unlocked or locked?
and everytime i do a command in adb,it says:
adb server is out of date. killing....
daemon started successfully
error:device not found..
(so i cant make any adb commands
but in "fastboot devices" it shows the serial number of my device.
i tried "relocking" bootloader by fastboot oem lock but says command error(does that mean its already locked or unlocked?

I and much others have the problem that after update 1.45.401.2 and run the Revolutionary.zip, the Revolution-applikation lose the conection to the phone and then the Sensation writes revolutionary HBOOT 1.17.1111 and not 1.18.0000. It wold be very nice if someone can help. Thanks a lot.
PS: Command to get the hboot

what you are saying is very normal. Your phone is S-offed and it shows "revolutionary" at hboot.
The hboot number changes which is normal. If you want stock hboot then you have to flash the RUU exe
Everyone run the latest OTA or RUU and start latest Revolutionary have then HBOOT 1.17.1111 ????

yes, if you were on the 1.35.xxx.x, then your hboot will be something like 1.17.1111
And if you are on the 1.45.xxx.x ??? Which Hboot version have you after running latest revolutionary on stock 1.45.xxx.x with stock HBOOT 1.18.0000???
Why are you worrying so much about the hboot number as long as you are s off then your fine. I had that .18 hboot before I did the s-off procedure and after it changed to that .17 hboot.

Like others have said, this is normal. Besides, the HBOOT image is not going to change whether it is S-OFF or not. At least not the way that Revolutionary sets it. As long as it says S-OFF, you are fine. If you really want the .18 bootloader, run Revolutionary first, then run the RUU. It will change the bootloader to the new version, but you will still be S-OFF. Keep in mind that you will have to replace the stock recovery with a custom recovery and re-root if you want to.
guess while we are at it, i would like an ENG 1.18.0000 HBOOT just to have it!
I am a little scared about that: (Thats not my picture but the error looks like it... but i root it from 1.45.xxx.x)

I too !
Listen...
Revolutionary, at the moment, WILL say it's lost connection. Just run it again. After 3 times of 'losing connection' it'll actually say it's done and you'll be S-OFF
You DO NOT NEED to have HBOOT 1.18.0000 to be S-OFF - it's completely irrelevant

You are one of many in a sad bunch of people.
So many things wrong in what you just said.
"i have unlocked my phone using htcdev.com" - bad choice.
"rooted it" - how ?
"S-ON" - so, not able to flash anything.
"my /recovery is still s-on" - does not make sense at all.
What you should have done:
First - tried the Revolutionary tool
Second - Taco root, get temp root
Third - tried the Revolutionary tool again
Forth - flashed custom recovery, flashed su-binary to get su access
but i cant use adb it isnt working and i dont know why, so how do i use taco root?
There's an RUU that, if I'm not mistaken, will rest everything back to HBoot 1.17 with S-On and the bootloader locked. You would then be be able to use revolutionary to unlock the bootloader and proceed with rooting the right way.
But I'm not sure if you can do that when you're S-On.
Can someone else chime on if I'm on the right track?

everything is done for me: flashed another recovery
for those who are still searching to fix this problem: install fastboot, search for 4ext recovery, download the .img, put it in the folder where your fastboot.exe is placed, use cmd: cd <the folder where fastboot.exe is placed>, fastboot flash recovery recovery.img and start bootlaoder -> recovery, then you have just to install a gb rom, this should solve the problem

[Q] WriteCID for HTC Sensation Not working

Hi there,
I have bought a HTC Sensation from a friend. This one has been rooted, and I would love to see the original HTC ROM. Normally this should be possible easily but when i follow this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300 everything goes well, but when I want to writecid 11111111 to flash any ROM I like, it keeps saying waiting for device. I can reboot it and it keeps working.
I tried a lot of things: fastboot off(hibernate function), reboot in bootloader again, plug in and plug out USB.
Can anyone help me?

As I understand "fastboot devices" give you nothing while you are in bootloader?
Have you tried to uninstall HTC Sync and reinstalling just HTC USB Drivers?

That's right, but when i type in: fastboot devices. it doesn't list my sensation.
But when i type in : fastboot oem writecid 11111111 it gives me: < waiting for device > .
that lasts for hours so i don't think it is going to work out then. Is there anything that i do wrong?

[Q] Can't flash RUU and get back to stock Rom

Hi,
I tried to flash RUU rom into my phone (DESIRE S).
I followed the instruction in the "How to S-ON the HTC Desire S, Unroot, remove Revolutionary and Clockwork Mod recovery" thread.
Apparently I tried to flash wrong RUU.
The flashing stopped in the middle and I get error massage that the version not matches my phone.
However my HBOOT change to version 2.00.0002 and he's locked and S-ON.
I unlock my phone with HTC tool HTCDEV. I flash CWM recovery and restored the previous ROM.
I tried to flash deferent RUU, this time I check my phone (from India) and find the right version, but I get another error massage.
RUU I tried to flash:
RUU_Saga_S_hTC_Asia_India_2.15.720.3_Radio_20.4801.30.0822U_3822.10.08.04_M_release_226809_signed.exe
I think my HBOOT is the problem.
My HBOOT:
*** UNLOCKED ***
SAGA PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT 2.00.0002
RADIO-382.10.08.04_M
Emmc-boot
Aug 22 2011,15:22:13
Which HBOOT image I need to flash, to flashing the RUU?
Thanks!
Before flashing another RUU, use misc_version script to "downgrade" your phone's main version.
It needs root.
can't get ROOT
Thanks for your answer
I solved this problem before I see your answer – I relock my HBOOT and run RUU exe file.
But now I have other problem:
I can't ROOT my phone
I tried 3 deferent methods:
[EXPLOIT] [26.04.2011][v1.2] GingerBreak APK (root for GingerBread)
[EXPLOIT]SuperOneClick v2.1.1 (Finally fixed!)
[EXPLOIT] Revolutionary - zergRush local root 2.2/2.3 | revolutionary root exploit
superOneClick – stuck in step 7 "WaitForDevice"
How can I get ROOT?
Thanks!
Downgrade or unlock the bootloader. The guides for both of those are in big INDEX thread.
u dnt need to downgrade
just unlock with ur unlock.bin code
then root with SuperOneClick
am sure of this steps cos am on stock and dat was d process i uesed
cheers

[Guide] How to return/ go back to 100% stock for warranty

This Guide will help you reset your HTC One S back to 100% stock form with no trace of modifications. For example to claim your warranty.
*******I am not responsible for any problems you encounter. I am simply informing you of what is needed to complete a restoration to Stock. Read all steps and commands carefully and perform them in the correct order.********
S-Off
You need S-off to change your lock status flag so you need S-off for this guide!
If your not S-Off yet first get S-off trough this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2155135
There are also other S-Off methods, feel free to use them, although I can only confirm Facepalm S-Off works.
Change your CID
If you have Super CID (11111111) change your CID back to your original CID.
There is a list of CID number here: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f692/needed-all-htc-cid-list-1552412/
You can get your current CID by typing: 'fastboot oem get_identifier_token' when you are in fastboot mode.
You can change your CID by typing: 'fastboot oem writecid yourCIDnumber' when you are in fastboot mode.
You can also use one of the HTC One S toolkits like Hasoon200 toolkit or the toolkit form squabbi.
Change your lock status flag
You can change your lock status flag back to locked with this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2155955
For me the noob friendly didn't work the old school method did work though. Maybe the noob friendly method requires you to downgrade your firmware first.
Downgrade firmware
If you're using a rom that requires you to update your firmware, like Maximus HD, you maybe need to downgrade your firmware first. I'm not sure it's necessary but I did it anyway, just to be sure.
You can do this with this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2322755
Run a RUU
Now you can run a RUU.
Choose a RUU that's compatible with your provider and country and preferably the most current version.
Make sure you get a signed RUU otherwise you can get in trouble trying to get S-on.
Here is a list with RUU's: http://www.androidruu.com/index.php?developer=Ville
Although the downloads are stable it may be a good idea to check the MD5-sum.
I use this one with success for a dutch unbranded Htc one s: RUU_Ville_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.16.401.8_Radio_1.11.50.05.28_10.27.50.08L_release_301814_signed_2_4.exe
Check lock status flag
When the RUU is done reboot in the bootloader and check if your lock status flag says '*** LOCKED ***'.
S-on
Now you're ready to get S-on again.
Reboot into the bootloader and make sure you're in fastboot usb mode. Then type 'fastboot oem writesecureflag 3' in console.
Check
Your phone should be completely stock with no trace of modifications at all!
You can check the bootloader, i should look like something like this:
*** LOCKED ***
VLE PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-2.12.0000
RADIO-1.11.50.05.28
OpenDSP-v31.1.0.45.00815

Good luck!

It's written for the S4 version.
But if you have S-off it probably would work, although i'm not sure the lock status flag thing works for the C2, and you shouldn't use the link to downgrade your firmware.
You can get a RUU for the C2 here:
