Has anyone overclocked the A13 SoC past 1.2 Ghz? Is it possible, like with the A10, to get it to 1.5 Ghz?

I'm on wifi right now with adrynalyne's latest kernel (1.9). It's in Rom Manager.

His kernal is not overclocked. if your referring to the 1024 you see, that is exactly what 1ghz is expressed as. He hasn't overclocked his kernals yet...

His kernels in Rom Manager haven't been overclocked but he does have overclocked kernels. The one that comes with the rom DAS_BAMF is overclocked to 1.2 ghz.
hye folks,
i have rooted my asus transformer and installed prime1,9. I also tested the psx emulator with tekken 3 but the games lags so i thougt to increase the cpu from 1 ghz to 1,2 ghz can some tell what i have to do ..

Use the seach button and read the kernel threads.
Rule #1
dude i searched allot but i only found kernels for 1,4 ghz or 1,6 ghz i realy need 1,2 cus that is the one that is most stable

You set the kernel speed to what you want with setcpu or something like it. These kernels tell you what the max is. You can set it however you want.
You obviously have no understanding or concept of what you want to do.
Therefore i suggest you dont do it.
i know exactly want i want, but it is so confusing cus i followed this how to
http://eeepadhacks.net/transformer-hacks/how-to-overclock-your-eeepad-transformer-to-1-6ghz/
after i installed the kernel and rebooted it freezed and i rebooted several times but it kept freezing.
So can you offer me some help so that i can overclock tot 1,2 ghz
flashing kernels is easy, making sure they're compatible can be tough. for you running Prime 1.9 I suggest clemsyns latest kernel. I think he's up to 21 now. you can find his tread in development. just also know that if the kernel flashing doesn't go well you can always reflash your rom to return to a kernel that works. once your new kernel is installed you need to install an app to regulate your CPU frequencies. I recommend setcpu which can be acquired on xda for free. I'm not going to post the link, just search for it, I believe its in android general forums. other than that you can search the market for overclock and choose from the many options available, just know that some programs might not work for the transformer.
EDIT: make sure to get clemsyns "b" kernel unless you have installed voodoo sound separately.
thnxx for the replay i wiil try the other romm

Depends. In my case using Prime 1.9.1 with the "official" overclock kernel I can use in perfect stability 1.6ghz. Last time I gave a try to a clemsyns kernel (v9 maybe?) I could get stability only up to 1.2ghz..... it kinda varies between the kernel, rom and specific machine as some might work better than others.
Also as already said, just get a kernel that works with your rom and set it at the clock you want using SetCPU or another app.
Great work ! you helped me all out, now i overclocked to 1,2 ghz succesfully and i can play tekken 3 without any lag thnx to you !
Hey people today I flash UC Kernel V08 NOC to my phone DDKP2 2.3.6 but I was not able to see improvement in video recording. I saw in the comments that Chaos and team has fixed only V08 Overclocked version. So i was thinkin why not overclock my phone and then flash OC version.
My question is I have installed NO FRILLS CPU Control.. I Wanted to know what setting should i keep on it and then should I flash V08 OC version! Thanks

@Dude, Yes you can flash OC version over NOC version - but i believe that currently NOC version is more stable than OC ; However OC will definitely give an inch over NOC in performance.
but in the uc kernel thread I saw that fix has been done for OC version whereas for NONOC version there is not fix....

hi vishal is overclocking harmful to d phone?

Agreed.. and Iam Still thinking why do we need 1.2 OC???? anyone?!?!?!
Well, after installing Sch ROM, ICS Theme, and UC-Kernel v8 with OC everything is running super smooth. I'm able to play Dungeon Defenders on highest graphics quality (which is in fact native screen resolution), although my quadrant benchmark has dropped from 2600/2800 to 1500.
Why not? Of course it would be better to have some more frequencys to choose from and i would like to also have additional 1000 MHz as a frequency the CPU is clocked maximum in standard situations and only manually "overclock" to 1.2 GHz in example for gaming.
1.2 ОС-is the speed!
to fasten our phone! althoug I have overcloked but not able to see any major overhaul!

have you enabled a cpu managing app like Nofrills CPU control?
you wont really recognize the improvement in daily usage, try out a HD game like asphalt, you WILL fell the difference, (in performance as in battery drain^^)
Hello, i have a quick question
I have installed CleanROM 3.2.1 odexed, and Unters stock Tf300t OC Kernel. I would like to ask how do you guys feel about overclocking your tab? I have installed SetCPU and limited overclocking to 1,5 ghz in performance mode, do you think i could do any damage to the cpu?
I don't think that kernel has overclocking. But I usually do it. Just don't constantly have it set to the Max CPU or it will shorten the CPU life by a lot.

I have mine overclocked up to 1.8 with Clemsyn's and it also turns the GPU up to 650. I personally love the overclock. It goes good with me running Hydro 6.0 with the cranked GPU, I think it's really only good if you have the GPU power to back it up as well. If you want to overclock it higher, check out Clemsyns!

If his CPU is at 1.5 then it's overclocked, stock runs at 1.3
I think that up to 1,6GHz is harmless

I will try Clemsyns kernel now, but what is the stock frequency of the GPU?
Thank you for the replies, i also thought that overclocking to 1.6ghz will do no harm.
Edit: for some reason i can not boot with Clemsyns 1,6 ghz kernel. I used the kernel installer provided by the OP in the cleanrom thread. Any suggestions?

I honestly can't find the stock frequency of the GPU anywhere, but I know its lower than 500!
Also, don't use the kernel installer in the OP of the CleanRom thread. Go into Clemsyn's thread and download the kernel you want to use.

I say over clocking is doable until 1.6ghz. After that, I don't think it'll be great for the CPU

Mine is at 1.8 and it runs perfectly fine, no issues at all. Got any reasoning to think that it's not good for the CPU?
+1 for overclocking. I'm running the modified Unter kernel for the PA ROM and usually keep mine set at 1.6. Everything just seems to run so much smoother with it turned up.

Hey guys, im just wondering, does antutu benchmark know that you overclocked your device? because when i look under info, it still says its 1ghz, when i set it to 1.3 ghz.
also, how do you know if you flashed a kernel, and it worked? i flashed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2069166 icsv28b, but im not sure if it worked. kk thanks!

Antutu will always say in device properties that you have a 1,0 GHz cpu, but in test results it says the actual speed at which you're on.
The processor clock usually jump around. You would be familiar with that, as x86 CPUs with Cool'n'Quiet (formerly PowerNOW!) or SpeedStep change clock upon demands of resource in the PC. They do the same thing.
