About time they put this out but you get a silly score on the pc lol http://www.3dmark.com/is/22245.

Shure - but my PC won't run on my mobiles battery. lol
They claim results should be comparable across different platforms.

Here is my PC result from back then, incase someone is interested
http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/6767
Only CPU abit OC'ed, time that i get a GPU upgrade, but not worth untill the new series come next year (not paying ~€500,- for only 10-15% performance increase )

Your card ain't that bad for the price you (prolly) payed
For the top end cards it's a whole different thing, all sorts of things you need to keep in consideration, but the 660 is by no means a bad card for that price

Oh no I don't mean now. I only got this in November so I'm good for now and plus use my tv for most games which is old and only has a rez of 1360x768 which helps alot for maxing out settings but it does play BF3 on at max on a 1680x1050 monitor. I paid £160 for it and it come with AC3 which at the time gave me AC2 lol and at the time the ti was about £220 so think I did god with this one.

Let me test

This Thread was Made so the Source don't get lost in the Future & Buried in Tons of Reply Posts..
Here The Source to 780Mhz..... So far the mt3g is running fine... No smoke yet!! http://twitpic.com/121lnv & http://twitpic.com/121m1t
I'm Not responsible for any Broken Phone's... This is just the Tools to OC to the Highest
Current CPU settings that will Run in Mhz
128000,245760,384000,528000,550000,560000,570000,580000,590000,600000,628000,650000,660000,670000,680000,690000,700000,728000,750000,760000,770000,780000
Now, this exp. is only if your using msm, but substitute msm for any source you're building.....
Exp. would look like:
(msm) ~/mydroid/msm/arch/arm/mach-msm/ For acpu
(msm) ~/mydroid/msm/kernel/ ( Personal changes I made )
Hope's everyone enjoys It!
Oh my goodness
780 MHZ sounds amazingly much... 50% more than the official max speed?
Wow
But It will drain battery and maybe explode after some time
Looking forward to stable Releases with this.
Gonna need the Battery Temperature Option in SetCPU

Honestly the 780Mhz is likely Over Kill, But.... The mt3g battery run's around 23 to 24 C on my Phone with the Over clock...
Battery Life? Can't really say, as I have on demand setup, so far I've not seen it scale past 628Mhz on a cpu load....
The settings I'm running is 245 Min / 780 Max.. Still have a Fully battery since flashing this morning w/ AOSP2.4
hi eugene.
your certain that 780mhz is doable on the g1 (htc dream), and you see no short-term ill effects, and the cpu can maintain that clock with only 1.325v?

or just CompCache everything exept for Video
Only negative thing about this is gonna be trying to fit my G1 in my pocket after installing this on the back of it.

Rom or Rom+Kernel with best battery duration known?

So ye, maybe tonight or tomorrow a storm will come and probably will have no electric power, I have 3 batteries but just in case it takes long to get electricity back I wanna know what rom or rom/kernel combination has been proved to be one of the bests battery saver.
I know I might get shot by the search police but I made this new topic cuz roms get updated everytime and old searches can point me out outdated answers, plus I need a quick response since the storm might start tonight, thanks.
There's no definitive BEST. It's all about what you do and how well you manage it. I get pretty great battery life with CM7 and LordMod's kernel. But some people have battery drain issues with cm7 nightlies. It's more about you and your phone. Experiment, try stuff out, see what works best for you.

Thanks I will download CM7 now
I recommend using the Nightly builds, it intimidates some people who are new to CM7 but they are really good and for the most part very stable.

I recommend any aosp build. I'm on miui with the lordmod kernel and you can go days if you turn off data, which isn't necessary in an emergency situation like you are describing .

YO Thanks again, CM7+BFSLordmod with the stable puv gave me 10 hours (data/sync off and screen most of the time off) and it was still at 91%!!! thanks a lot.
Im surprised how leedroid and other sense based roms now drain a lot of batteries! maybe cuz of the new sense, I remember leedroid gave me better battery results in the past similar to cm7.
I'd go with ninja its got better battery life and is even smoother

if not normal how can i fixed this???
and what the normal range in ram
THANX FOR YOUR ATTENTION
Hm, its very hard to understand you, but if I got it right: Theres nothing odd about your pictures, the appicons inside the red circle is just shortcuts to the latest used apps, doesn't mean they are running atm.
Your memory used and free in second picture is absolutley normal for stock rom. And you dont really need to kill apps, let the phone handle that it self, it will be fine. Advanced taskmanager is pointless in my opinion.
Be well

If you are asking about a better battery, yes like the others before said, try the anker batteries. Great battery for the money.
However if you are indicating that you are loosing charge faster than stock, then you may have a few issues. Either you are using an older version of clockwork recovery or it can be a kernel issue. Both are easily fixable. For clockwork, open up Rom Manager and update that if you haven't already. And for the kernel, try another kernel.

thanx to all

My preference is plain old stock kernel. Stable and everything works. But the bricked kernels I try from time to time.
Tip..
go to Display settings and lower your screen brightness you will have longer battery Life .

[MODEMS] I897 Captivate Modem Comparisons

This (not very scientific) test was all done on Serenity KJ3 4.2. I ran the test 3 times and in order to get an average. It was done in the same location, with the same server chosen in SpeedTest Mobile app. I did this mainly to pinpoint which captivate modem worked best for me in my area (South East Florida), so keep in mind that you will probably get different results depending on where you are.
I'm just sharing this in case someone finds it useful. I'll try and add new modems as they come out.

Well, I ran this at like 4 am when I couldn't get to sleep.. Don't know how many people were on at the time, but I'm sure it's less than usual lol
Either way, like I said in the OP, this a very non-scientific test.

What about 1900 vs 850mhz?
I've done the "test" in the past with i9000 modems.... but I separated the frequencies cause it makes a difference.
Also signal strength..... I made sure that I had greater than -85db

Good suggestions.. I'll do a more in depth test when I get a chance. I just got lazy since these modems are RAT Restricted, and doing the little trick to change frequencies takes longer..

no problem... I do think though that the RAT issue is phone related...... I have no issues getting in to service mode.

I have the version with 16 GB and 2 GB of RAM !!!
That's a huge difference, did you clean update or just took the OTA?
To tell you the truth your first result with 5.01 was very low even with that firmware.your second result with 5.1.1 is normal.after we update our rom or get a new device we should at first reset to defaults to minimise the risk of bad flashing.
I've made a dirty flash, I've no brand firmware and I have flash Vodafone firmware in dirty mode. I'm really happy for this update...

Good result!
Got a H955 on Friday. Updated to 5.1.1. Running completely stock at the moment.
Ran 3 test back to back:
1) 53703
2)52253
3) 47712
Throttling cost 11.2%
Thought to myself: Never really done back to back testing on my LG G2 - lets see what happens.
Test one was around 36000, Test two around 30000 and Test three around 29500. Throttling cost 18% The G2 was warm to the touch, and throttled quicker. I've been more than happy with my G2 for nearly 2 years.....
For me it seems the bigger problem was LG's implementation of Android at launch.
I put the air conditioning on the phone and was able to hit 57000!
I did a test again for the first time in a few days, and got 53829. A few days ago I did a test right after a reboot, but my score was pretty terrible then. It was about 43 000, I think.
Did a second test and got 50042.

Guys, if you force gpu rendering, the phones cpu gets freed up to do the more important stuff and the battery actually improved a bit too. Guessing that adreno 430 is a bit more power efficient then the a57 cores.
Force gpu rendering.. did you also force 4x MSAA?
