Hi All,
Didn't know where to post this so thought here would be a good place.
I'm about to start a .... Don't know what to call it?
I have a blog ready, a twitter feed going and a YouTube account ready.
I would like:
Someone good with words, who can write professionally, efficiently and user friendly. With a little sense of humour here and there, so everything is not "So SERIOUS".
Also, I would REALLY like someone who is good with making videos. Videos such as Tutorials, Guides and Reviews.
I am starting this in the hopes to be another place people can go for Android Info, some may say "Theres enough of these already", but I want to give it a go, I enjoy sharing info and helping people.
IF THIS IS AGAINST ANY RULES, LET ME KNOW !!
IF YOUR INTERESTED PLEASE PM ME!! WE CAN DISCUSS FURTHER AND I WOULD LIKE TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS YOU HAVE!!!
Thanks all ! Looking forward to hearing from you

Hi,
I was wondering if any game developers were taking any requests right now, because I think I have some good ideas, and really want to see what can be done with them.
Thanks.
Hey,
You are better posting a considered and detailed approach in the dev & hack section, with exactly what you would like to see and what you can offer to help (ie if you cant offer expertise then perhaps a donation or some other incentive)
When posting use a title like "[APP REQ] your title"
Be clear and concise in you post giving as many details as possible, any screen shots are also useful. You should also offer to do all testing.
Good luck.
Hey guys, I am happy that I am able to post this here after getting permission from the Admins! My name is Derek (aka viperboy on DF, Phandroid, and others) and I created www.froyoroms.com for Froyo ROMs and Froyo Development. I know there are already alot of forums for Android, but I wanted to give this a shot as this makes it easier for everything to be consolidated in one place.
I started this site up about 3 days ago so I don't have many users yet, but I'm looking forward to the site growing! It is completely free with no ads and you're more than welcome to just view if you want to even if you're not registered. I want to make it clear that I did this for the community, not to make money. I am not looking to compete with this site or any other site, it's just another place for Devs and Android enthusiasts to come together and enjoy all of the new ROMs and everything coming out with Froyo.
Speaking of Devs... I am looking to get some of you guys over there too! Again, I don't want to take you away from another site, but you have an open invitation to your own place over there. I can also provide you with...
Unlimited FTP storage
Your own board for you to moderate
A direct link to your board (example: www.froyoroms.com/developername)
your own e-mail address @froyoroms.com
As for the users, I ask you to please register over there, we would love to have you! As the site grows, I will also be looking for Moderators and I can provide you with storage space and your own @froyoroms.com e-mail as well. When that time comes, I will post more details about it in the Announcement section of my site.
If you have any questions, please let me know! Suggestions and feedback is greatly appreciated as this is my first website and forum and I believe that listening to user feedback is the greatest way to improve a site!
Again, thank you to XDA Admins and this site!
- Derek
I had some people register here after posting this thread. Just wanted to say thank you for registering! I'm working on some EVO how-to's and will get to the Droid how-to's hopefully tomorrow.
If anyone out there would be able to post how-to's (like rooting and recovery basics since there isn't much in the way of Froyo ROMs right now) that would be great! I am not familiar with all the devices so I could sure use some help!
Thanks again, everyone!

i wanna help with evo
hi there thank you for launching that new site.. i just signed up for it... i have the new evo was interested in helping test out the 2.2... let me know pls would love to give a helping hand
Posted this on Android Forums, figured I'd post it here for anyone that needs it!
I've been seeing a lot of users new to emulators in general having no idea where to begin, and me, watching for updates, also saw a lot of unhappy users not able to get it set up. I love gaming and figured others new to the emulator / android scene could use a little help. So i created this guide. I have it on google docs. and also uploaded it to media-fire as a pdf.
I feel if more people understood how it works, and get it running, they would stop yelling and flaming the developer, all thats going to do is discourage him and make him stop supporting PSX4Droid!!
Constructive ideas are welcome!
Feel free to spread this around if needed, as long as credit is given.
Complete PSX4Droid Guide!!!
PSX4DroidGuide Google Docs
PSX4DROIDGuide.zip
Thanks alot. i am a total noob to this and appreciate this.
Not a prob man.
Let me know if you still have any questions when you're done
Hey
I highly recommend removing the link to the BIOS file from your document. This only leads to trouble/post locking/problems from Sony. They really are that anal about it.
Kudos for the excellent guide though.
Good Call, I've seen it in a few other guides, but if this guide gets around to the majority of the users, then i could see Sony flagging it.
I left it in the bios section but removed the direct download in the step by step.
If it becomes a problem I'll remove that too.
thanks im going to try this out.
awesome
this guide has helped alot in configuring psx4droid
All you developers or programmers I know are tired of the same old questions but you guys give answers as if we're all in developers school. You assume too much. When someones a noobie please be gentle and direct us or teach us. We're inspired by you so when you snap at us with comments, we take it or at least I take it as if your all conceided. You guys started as noobs too. We want to learn thats why we're all on this site because there are so many good programmers and good people on here. I love the stuff I see on here, all the ideas and the help that we do receive but once in a while I see chopped up advice that confuses me at least. I would love to be a programmer and developer and it wouldn't bother me to teach a noobie who is willing to learn.
Sorry but thats my little tiff. But its all true.
I have had a few people get down on me because i feel if someone has a answer, and they put more time and energy into telling you all the reasons why they shouldn't/can't help. It just seems down right mean. I thought these forums were a place of sharing and learning to help one and another. It just seems like it is becoming less of that as time progresses. not everyone here is a "Phone wiz" and that's why they come, seeking knowledge. So what if the question has been answered already? XDA is not a small web site in its infancy anymore. It has a lot of information to surf thru. All I am saying is you know the answer is a simple do this, or see this post would be great, instead of google it, or you need to look harder. Are people that full of themselves that they are to above everyone to help some noob out? Everyone was a noob at some point. My point is lets try to help each other instead of help ourselves only. There is a good saying I once heard, "watch who you step on , on your way to the top, because they won't be there to catch you when you fall". :highfive:
Many people help on this site.... All the time and everywhere. But the ones who find help easy are the ones who also try to to help themselves first. They research, search and do their best to find answers...and then they ask for help when they're stumped.
The ones that have trouble getting help, are the ones who log in...find a thread or make one, reading nothing, searching for nothing and ask for help.
XDA is about learning, and sharing work... It's not a quick stop tech support help desk. If someone can't put in an effort to read, read... And read some more before they decide to start messing with their expensive device... Then this is not the hobby for them.
Most experienced members can spot the difference quickly between the types I've mentioned, and they interact accordingly.
Also, the site has rules... And one particular rule is not followed as often as it should be unfortunately...... That would be rule number 1: Search before posting.
And so... I'm going to close this thread now, because I can guarantee this will not be a constructive discussion. :good:
Regards,
Darth
