JB official update - Sony Xperia Miro, Tipo (Dual), J, E

Will there be any official JB update for sony xperia tipo dual?
If,yes when will it be available?

According to me they won't
I have two reasons
1)they didn't mention tipo in there official JB roll out
2)they have made a new phone called xperia E in the same range with JB out of box so logically a Good and Brained Business Man WON'T MAKE TWO PRODUCTS ALIKE I hope you understand

From what I know rather definitely will not be updated.

[DISCUSSION] Android 5.0 for our devices.

Android 5.0 is codenamed key lime pie and would already be running perfectly on a device which has only 512mb of ram, so i wanted to make a thread dedicated to any news about our device and Android 5.0, it should be going live in October. Sony Helpdesk didn't give any information yet about it when i contacted them ;(.
Any rumours, speculations can be posted here.
Do you think it is likely our device's are getting Android 5.0?
I am sure they won't EVER be getting official 5.0. Most likely will get with xda and Cyanogenmod though.

Well most sites say that 5.0 is optimized for low-end devices etc, so it would be sad if we wont get this version

If our device's hardware possible to get KLP, i think it wont due to Japanese market strategy. So, they encourage us to buy newer device.

Man, tipo can handle ICS ok, Jelly Bean has Project Butter, so it's verry smooth, why Key Lime Pie can't run on our devices?
Well it ain't confirmed that key lime pie would be released. And the news in the web are rumour. So don't post knowing something correctly..
No offence and hard feelings

Whats the benefit on android 5, if you cant even play video properly on custom kernel? Unless devs work on making custom kernel run as smooth as stock sony , fixing gsm / 3g video call, hardware decoding, I think stock is better option for now. No bootloader unlocking for me.

Xperia Tipo/Miro will definitely not be getting official Android 4.1 and beyond.
You guys already reached EOL. (end of life)
Xperia J and E will most likely also end at Android 4.1.

Well I think the Xperia tipo deserves 1 update for a less, we need to create a post and send up to Sony and Qualcomm, to dispel all the answer!! Is hard to see the Sony release device only whit 1 update like Xperia j and nothing like miro, tipo and tipo dual is not fair because we pay for her product they don't give us free

It will never happen. Sony will never ever upgrade Xperia Tipo and Miro to 4.1 and beyond. Xperia Tipo and Miro reached EOL (end of life) and it's Sony's least priority. Only bug fixes from now on. There will not be update to add new Walkman apps etc or upgrade to Android 4.1 and beyond.
Well it is kind of sorrow, when you know that your device is end, and you don't even own him for a year. Since there won't be any further official upgrades it would be nice to unlock our phones and bootloaders with some kind of OTA update only for that.

It's the end for your phone. X10 received it because it was Sony's previous flagship. Xperia Tipo is Sony's lowest, cheapest phone. Let's be realistic, you guys will remain on 4.0 ICS forever.

I don't think Sony will release 4.2.2 for us.They announced the official list for 4.2.2 long time ago and XL wasn't on that list.At the end of the post they said that some devices that aren't in that list will skip 4.2.2 and jump directly to 4.3.As 4.3 is kinda out I don't see why Sony would work at 4.2.2 for XL...maybe just some marketing technique...Anyway,we'll live and see what Sony prepared us.

The Sony only updates firmware once in lower and mid range phones. So if you get 4.1 out of box, you will get one update to 4.3 or 4.2.2 !
I will go with 4.2.2 to be the end of Xperia L life.
This means that there is a slight chance that we will get anything more than one major update! We will get some small fixes but that will be that !
We will still be at 4.2.2 and receive one to two minor updates for bugs. Thus, thinking that we will also get another major update is out of question !
I hope they do but the chances are very small. They will put up an excuse that hardware doesnot support or anything.
Xperia U and Samsung Galaxy S3 mini has same NovaThor but Sony claimed that NovaThor can not run Jelly Bean but surprisingly S3 mini does ! Samsung updates their phone to JB with same NovaThor but Sony didnot.
Even, JB was ported to Xperia U from Xperia P and it worked great but had battery issues. I think if Sony had taken the initiative, they could have easily done that. But sony doesnot do that. We will be extremely lucky to get another update to Xperia L after 4.2.2 ! Minor bug fixes would be there but nothing more. That's one of the reason I do not like Sony. They make great phones but lack the energy to give timely updates to all of their devices. Also, this is a way to make people buy new phones !
UPDATE :
I reread the article and found out that the real culprit was GPU.

You don't need openGL ES 3 gpu to run KitKat. And our devices can control even 4.3 perfectly, Lg L5 has Snapdragon S1 like our devices and works perfect (but it has ram issues because of 4.3 gapps), and they are porting 4.4 because it requieres less resources.
Sony won't update a older phone than Xperia Z, ZU, ZL, Tablet Z etc... because its market strategy is don't update devices. Even RAM isn't an issue for no update, 4.4 is designed to run perfect with 512mb ram devices.
My Xperia tipo will be the last, and the first sony device I buy.
Sony itself won't give a damn about Tipo and that category models,it's up to the developers to do their tricks and bring us KitKat

We'll definitely not be getting KitKat Android 4.4, chances are dim. However, a 4.3 update is possible (not sure though).
Obviously we all would love to see the latest Android software for our phones, but till now.. *fingers crossed*
KitKat is still very new, most of the flagship devices are just getting it. Obviously midrange devices are less important, so even if we'll get a 4.4 update, it'll be months later from now.
And hopefully we'll get it, even if we have to wait for a while, a lot of other phones with Snapdragon 400 are getting 4.4, I don't think Sony will forget about us.
So,Possibility to get kitkat.

Its better not to ignite hope and desire in people when you can't fulful your own promises. I still remember 25th dec,2013 as cm11 promised .Just think for a second , only 7 days left to be delayed for 2 months release. And i know that it won't come soon maybe in March but thats not for sure.
And still bluetooth is not fixed
