Looks good brother, welcome to the jungle.
Edit: Do you plan on adding more options to the boot menu,i obviously wasnt paying attention for about 15 minutes i kept rebooting, thinking i was booting into recovery, when all along its just a regular reboot procedure, booting me back into the rom,its early for me,hahaha.I also noticed ,no rom control, isnt that implemented into CM roms by default?Excuse me for dumb questions,im a sense fan,im just now delving into ICS and JB,so im still learning here.

Re: [ROM][UNOFFICIAL]SlimBean[4.2.2 JDQ39]
Rom so far is running great. I flashed jamztaylors a2sd, no success. Then rewiped, flashed rom, then a2sd, then gapps, & it still didn't work. But I don't really need it as this is a spare device. While trying to get a2sd working I would get the "SD card not mounted"

Just did a clean flash. ROM only. No GApps, No a2sd. Installed a few apps through file manager, then went into Manage Apps, clicked one and clicked 'Move to SD' and it worked. 'Move back to Phone' caused it to hot boot but still moved it back to phone. I hope this helps at least until I get the next build going.

Downloaded and running. So far so good, looks nice. Thanks for the hard work.

Re: [ROM][UNOFFICIAL]SlimBean[4.2.2 JDQ39]
Like I said earlier, this is not my main device (Note2) but I have been playing around with this rom off & on all day & 0 issues. Great job man.

Yea i read that part, but it doesnt explain what it does and how to activate it and its not explained in the install instructions,so someone might get confused, alot of people dont know about the developers option, because its already activated on install by default usually, maybe a little more info might help.Again, nice job on the rom.

Re: [ROM][UNOFFICIAL]SlimBean[4.2.2 JDQ39]
Also, the reboot menu goes nowhere. Be nice if it offered to go to recovery, boot loader etc. I've gotten around the issue using the reboot menu through ROM toolbox pro.
That's funny about the Dev. options, the first time I noticed they weren't there was months ago on my Note2, more often then not they are hidden like that. So when I saw them missing after the flash I knew right what to do, I actually use a couple of the settings, android debug & for the Evo I like to turn animations off.

I came over from the Samsung Captivate so I am a little more familiar with Touchwiz. Sense is a whole new bag for me.
I noticed that much like what we had over on the captivate forums, most roms are built for a similar device and ported over via scripts and addons to make it inspire. I loved what Juicy was starting up with a ROM built for the inspire/canadian DHD. I wanted to take that a little further and make it more exclusively for the inspire.
I have gone through and compiled what I think are the best addons/improvements for the inspire roms and applied it to stock sense 2.1 (sense 3.0 still feels laggy to me after a few days, and ram usage is insane)
I did this for me and wanted to share it with all of you. Nothing more.

A lot of familiar names from the good ol' Captivate, nice ROM.
Good to see you here pirate! Will definitely be trying this out tomorrow when I get somewhere with decent Internet access.
Downloading now. Cannot wait to try your work out. Welcome to Inspire!
Hi Pirateghost, Would u be able to add some touchwiz elements into this rom. Like touchwiz launcher, phone dialer, lock/unlock methods etc. If possible.
I have not see anyone do it yet.
This ROM is running great. GPS took a few mins. to lock, but is very accurate.

touchwiz is so deeply rooted into the touchwiz framework and reliant on many samsung only drivers. i dont see sense and touchwiz living together too well.
i might consider that as a side project, but doubtful it will ever get off the ground.
I have been running RumRunner since about 3 o'clock this morning. no issues with installation, gps was slow at first to get a lock, but working well now. cannot test wifi until I get home. A few fc's at first with tweetcaster and XDA app, but after uninstalling and reinstalling no problem since. And yes, I did do a full wipe lol.

[port][rom]Simply honey 5.0rc1 for infuse

this is an i9000jvr rom ported to the vibrant updated and edited then ported to the infuse by me with huge thanks to linuxbozo's hellraiser.
this is a multilangual, multi-csc rom with a ton of honeycomb-like themeing.
it has a number of addons to customize it further found in the op in the vibrant section HERE
features: (from vibrant thread, not completely accurate)
- Based on Gingerbread 2.3.4 JVR
- Bullet GB Kernel
- 339MB RAM
- BLN Support
- Voodoo9 Sound and Color
- CIFS Support
- Deodexed and Zipaligned
- Root + Busybox 1.19 Adrynalyne
- Simply Honey Honeycomb Theme V4 (thx DAGr8 & explodingboy70)
- Overscroll Glow enabled!!
- OLD TV CRT Lock Screen Animation enabled! (enable all animations from settings)
- 4 & 9 LOCKSCREENS
- Fixed all Lockscreen Wallpapers (thx dhiru1602)
- CWM 3.x/2.x Compatible Script
- Auto Detects Simply Honey ROMs 3.5+ (auto select wipe/no wipe, only cwm version)(not sure this is working, if you have issues on first boot then wipe data manually)
- Arabic Support (via ADDON...Upcoming for 4.0)
- Hebrew Support (via ADDON...(Upcoming for 4.0)
- NON INCREASING RINGTONE!!!
- Multi CSC JVP/JS1 (same as 2.7) with ITV, XEE, XEF and NEE included!!
Tweaks
- Auto Detects Simply Honey ROMs 3.5+ (controls wipe/no wipe)(maybe)
- Optimised Zipaligning Script (thx Darkyy)
- Memory Hack Tweak (thx to Darkyy)
- Hacked Hosts File (no more ads!!)
- A lot of build.prop tweaks!
- Fix for Multitouch and Maps
- Fix for SIP, Buttons Backlight and better 3D performances! (i havent tested SIP, backlights fix doesn't apply, not sure i noticed any 3d improvement over what you'd expect)
- Gallery totally fixed! (no battery drain, fixed lockscreen)
- SD Card Booster Script (thx Darkyy!)
- Priority Script
- Voltage Script
- Signal Tweaks (not sure what this means, probably doesnt apply to our device)
Modded Apps
- TouchWiz 3 Modded (5 icons dock + alphabetical) by explodingboy70!
- Hacked Camera JVP (with fixed rotation of ffc)hacked infuse camera
- Hacked MMS (android user agent + no contact limit + no mms conversion)
- Fixed a lot of FCs
- A lot of themed apps!!!
- YouTube App with Download Feature
- Maps 5.8.0
- GTalk 2 (video call - over 3g and wifi)
- Samsung Music Player (Simply Galaxy Edition)
- Updated Market (Black Market)
- Flip to mute, hold to silence incoming calls
-
Removed Apps
- Mini Diary
- Days
- Dual Clock
- Buddies Now
- Info Alarm
- Protips
- All Samsung widgets
- Write and Go
- ThinkFree Office (replaced with Polaris Office)
AND A LOT MORE FROM LIGHT VERSION....INSTALL PACKAGES TO ADD OTHER APPS
changelog: to infuse version
- removed bln control (no kernel support, it was pointless)
- removed double twist (causes conflicts with other 3rd party music apps using the aosp/miui lock screen music controls, if you like it get the updated version from the market)
- commented out a lot of "tweaks" not all our kernels agree with the conservative governor, that should be up to the user especially if using alternate kernels anyway. other tweaks are already set in the kernel which runs so well that there is no reason to change any of that.
- added 99tweaks script from dynamicram but commented a lot out
- removed loopy smoothness, caused weird stuff to happen to haptic feedback
- fixed the update script that i broke [facepalm]
why did i do this when anyone can simply use hellraiser? i wanted to pull hellraiser apart to see how difficult it would be to start on my own i9000 based rom. also wanted to bring this to users that might be afraid to use hellraiser. or not think to look in the vibrant section for roms. the theming and addons are pretty cool and this rom is FAST!.
what is to come?
a heimdall one-click version (should make it easy for newbs that cant read to get around 3e recovery from any platform)
might change a few /system apps
might add the honeycomb system_server and app_server files like u.s.a.s but i doubt it will do anything notable.
i take no credit for this, it was basically copy and paste, i wont pass it off as something it's not. i do not accept donations. if you want to contribute then donate to one of the devs below.
credits for the infuse port
- hellraiser mod (linuxbozo)
Hellraiser kernel credits
- linuxbozo
- Enabled TinyRCU (Entropy512)
- Added Simple IO Scheduler (drowningchild)
- Conservative governor tweaked and set as default (LinuxBozo, netarchy)
- Added interactive governor with tweaks (LinuxBozo, netarchy)
- Added smartass governor (LinuxBozo)
- Added Voodoo Sound v10 (partially working) (Entropy512, bedwa)

- br1ck'd and DanBrutal, always appreciate the feedback and insight.
- a lot of other people supporting me!!

try booting into recovery and clearing data, there should be no reason for the auto wipe data script not to work but i dont think it is. i may have to re write it or take it out completely.
you dont typically need to pull the battery to reboot, just hold the power button and volume bar for 10-15 seconds
Very nice running so far, no more concern than running i9000 rom with bozo

i think i noticed a couple mistakes on my part. if it is running then there is nothing to be too concerned about but im posting a new file likely in the morning (the upload proess takes forever and prevents me from browsing, i dont have much uplink bandwidth :/ ) if you notice any issues with gps or anything else then then next version might help.

yeah haptic might be from loopy smoothness mod. just like infused 1.5.3. the lag went away after a reboot for me, but you might want to wait till tomorrow i'm cleaning up a few things. in the mean time take out that loopy smoothness script from /system/etc/init.d and tell me if it helps haptic. it may reduce smoothness on boot but i dont think it does much else.

Happiness is waking up to a new rom to flash

[ROM][Linaro][Paranoid/CNA][1.3.1] Cookies&Cream 10/16

This rom is based on CodeNameAndroid and Paronoid Android (You read that right on the fly dpi changes). Compiled with the Linaro compiler and full 03 and strict aliasing which allows the compiler to super optimize everything.
Features:
Code:
[B]kernel:[/B] [URL="https://github.com/faux123/Nexus-grouper"]faux[/URL] complied with Linaro -03

Hybrid mode:[/B] lets you scale and project every app, every widget, even systemcomponents individually. Remember, android is modular, everything is an app: Lockscreen, navigationbar, dialogs, popups, keyboards, widgets, and your regular apps of course. Apps have the capability to switch into various designs or layouts according to the device they run on. This can result in a complete new experience as many apps will transform to the better.

This looks very promising. I've been running PA since I got my Nexus 7 and would love to see it used to its full potential.
Although.. Has anyone else noticed that PA's file transfer speed via usb is extremely extremely slow compared to stock? Is that fixed in this ROM?

no, mtp has nothing to do with pa, they did minor changes for UMS, i dont have those changes so the issue probably doesn't effect this rom, although i dont remember the changes off hand they werent huge

Built in tethering?
Loving the build so far; very smooth. Too bad Morfic never made a Trinity ROM for KitKat for this unit; it would complement rastakat well.
One thing I am missing using this ROM (updated from CM 10.1.3 - based on 4.2.2) is built-in tethering. It does not appear to be present as a menu item with SIM out, or with SIM inserted (could be due to ATT messing with stuff, as I have an ATT SIM card). If it is present, but being hidden by my insertion of ATT SIM, then please consider build ROM with ATT Tethering fix as described generally in this link - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2452336&page=3 - and more specifically in post 30 of that link.
Still putting the ROM through its paces, and will report any additional issues on here.
Thanks again for having built this for this N7 2012; now I can use rastakat on all my devices (N5, N7 2012, N7 2013).

Hey sd_matto I will look into the tethering issue as soon as I get the chance. I appreciate the information. I don't have the device so without the heads up I would never have known.
You rock!! Thanks for taking the time to build it!
This seems to be the first KitKat ROM running ART without any com... related errors, even Cover is working for me. Flashed this with slimkat gapps v1.6 and SuperSU v1.8, booted up and changed to ART. Used TB to restore backup apps and data. So far so good, running fine, smooth and fast. BTW, running Xposed Framework and some modules too. Great ROM! Thanks for the ROM.

I'm on the grouper build so I'm not sure how much radio's will play a role but I'm getting about %10 drop a day at idle.
Thanks so much for this build, really appreciate it. Could I be cheeky though and ask a favour? I'd love to not have to edit the build.prop as I don't run it rooted because some apps don't work if the device is rooted. But the model/manufacturer name is stopping me using a few apps, could you maybe update it to ASUS Nexus 7 instead of "AOSP On Tilapia"?

This should do it. Changed name to ASUS Nexus 7. It's also synced to rascarlo's repository as of today. http://d-h.st/GLt

Thanks for this, unfortunately I think you changed the wrong ones, it's these two that need changing.
ro.product.model = Nexus 7
ro.product.manufacturer = ASUS
Cheers again man, ART on Tilapia was sorely needed, still weird that it's not available on the factory images.

Here hare the Gapps:

for the supersu,I simply used the root function on TWRP once installed the ROM

Thank you! I'm using ClockWork Mod. So, I need a separate SU-flashable file.
