Hey guys,I am on cm9.2.1 by hephappy.I have a problem, sometimes speaker volume gets too low, even if I increase the volume till max.after rebooting it is fixed and speaker is normal. I think it is a hardware problem. If anyone else has this problem or has a solution please let me know. I don't know how to reproduce this bug.thanks

Running stock 2.3.3. Even with call volume maxed out I can barely hear the person on the other end. I have tried with multiple calls to multiple people and get the same thing.
Anyone know how to fix this problem?
Anyone experienced something similar?

i have that problem, i tend to use speaker more. hopefully a mod comes soon
I'm running CM7 RC1 with Voodoo kernel, not sure if the Voodoo sound patch has any part in this, but the volume on my phone is quite loud when using Skype. But in a noisy environment, I'd rather use a pair of noise blocking earphone or headset.
Yea i can barely hear the other person as well. I dont know if its just in my head but it almost seems like it started after the 2.3.3 update

During a call turn the volume down and then back up. When you turn it down you won't notice much difference but you will when you turn it up again. It seems that the volume settings thinks it's at max when it isn't and you need to reset it by turning it down.
Hmm ill give that a shot

Could be your service provider too.

Don't think so. The same issue was present with the N1, kernel developers implemented an audio boost feature that really helped this issue out. Hopefully we will see the same for the NS soon enough.
I would LOOOOOVE for an audio boost similar to the N1 to be implemented for the NS.

[Q] volume of the front speakers? Help please
hello all
does anyone know the phonecodes for the nexus s (service mode)? I want to increase the handset (speaker to the ear)!
in the galaxy s, he is **#*#197328640#*# but not work
nexus s CM7 netarchy 1.2.7
sorry for my bad english
does anybody know how to raise the volume of the front speakers?
I'd like to do this also. Default max volume is too low, sometimes hard to hear what people say.
exactly!
It must be possible to increase the volume
with the voodoo kernel only the speakers on the back work
I have the same problems, in call volume is too low :-( and its not the provider because with my Galaxy S the volume is okay.
Phone speaker is quiet but with my bt earpiece I can get it loud enough to hurt my ears.

i don't know about you guys, but i have no problem hearing the call even in busy ( noisy ) streets environments.
using any of the 3 methods:
normal ear speaker
back speaker
BT headset
on 2.3.3 stock, no mods of any kind
temporarily solution:
During call set volume to min and then to max and then it's OK. After reboot problem is back.

this works
Only volume probs I come across 2.3.0-2.3.3 has been the other person's provider (att, Boost, Metro) so far.
Maybe its just me but today when i answered a call I had a really hard time hearing what the other person was saying. I put the in-call volume all the way to the max but still it was very low. Is there specific reason its doing this? Have you guys had this problem before?

Hello, yesterday i wanted to make a small speaker for my phone, so i connected the phone to the speaker trough a jack and blah blah.. then it was not so loud so i tried to add 9V ac to the speaker.. big mistake, my phone turned off, i turned it on right away and even when i disconnect my headphones they still show like they are in. No youtube sound, no music and no sound when someone calls me. What could i do? Please help me..

Seems like you might have blown off the sound amp section of your phone, by injecting that 9V ac power
A trip to the LG Service Center for you I guess !!!
But the speaker works! When i press volume + the speaker produces that sound of volume, the speaker works well but the phone sends the audio to the wrong place, any ideas without having to go to the LG servis? Im a bit poor this time..

Try opening the phone n check for any damage/burn part. Or try speaker cleaner app from gplay

But the phone speaker works! It isnt broken or something, i just need to find a way to disconnect headphones, because they show they are always connected, even if they arent. The speaker is working because when i press vol + and vol - it produces a sound. Is there an app to disconnect manually the headphones!

If you have any pair of headphones plug them into jack and reboot the phone and unplug them at lg logo
Maybe will deactivate the headphones profile for me this method worked on icysnap v1.1 (I had a similar bug with headphones)

Hi! I got a similar problem thanx yours, my headphones also shows that are connected all the time, and I think it's software related because whan I flash a PAC-man rom te sound of the headphones hears in the speaker. Have you tried a restore vía KDZ? Maybe that fix the problem (I can't tried yet because of lack ofrece time)

After I updated to 4.4.4, I can no longer hear anyone whose calling me through the headset but the speaker and bluetooth works. Before the update, anyone calling was hard to heard at max volume. I thought the update was suppose to fix this problem but it seems to have made it worse. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks.

Thanks. After a couple of restarts, the sound is working but it's still low.
I've had this issue twice now. A restart fixes it both times but it's difficult because you only find out about it when you receive a call.
