Re: Problems after sense4a
Unlock bootloader and flash any custom recovery (Yannoua's recommended).
Then try wiping everything and flash any light ROM.
Or unlock bootloader and flash TWRP recovery and follow
Nand recovery. Then wipe and flash ROM.

Can you unlock bootloader again?
How about
Fastboot boot recovery recovery.img
Ofcourse recovery.img should be replaced by /SDcard/recovery.img (or where you put the recovery ) or navigate to /SDcard first

You can do anything with that. But that command is just a temporary measure to bypass the bootloader.
Now that you're in recovery, you can use cute prince recovery procedure..
1.If you can't go to /system/xbin ,can you use derefas recovery procedure (link in my signature )?
2.But, you weren't able to go into Android (ui,buttons, right? )am I right?
I don't know, whether you can boot without bootloader support?
If you can't boot anything else, complete the recovery procedure fully ..... do that ruu again...

He cannot enter into boot loader(the one with fastboot, recovery, hboot)~but just a black screen with error sign.
Ruu did not work, since nand was burnt ~no space.
But phone automatically connected
via fastboot.
He flashed twrp recovery
And booted into recovery with
Fastboot boot recovery
Without going into bootloader
Then followed cuteprince recovery procedure
Then ruu to bring back the bootloader
Now everything works.

I think he ruu d the normal way.
First thing He didn't know of that method I think (this is from liverpool right? ) ...
Second thing, his bootloader itself was not working~black screen with error signs ~and flashing just boot, recovery and Rom wouldn't help.he also needs hboot
(otherwise, when we wipe boot, recovery and everything else, we would also be in a black screen with error signs )

Auto connected in fastboot)
Then again installed a RUU successful just only by plugging phone.(of course fastboot was still out of access).
Anyway good to see him back.
Irrelevant to the OP problem:What do you think..? Can the RUU of a different radio be installed following the above mentioned.

I think you unlocked your bootloader with htcdev, if yes you need to extract the boot.img of the ROM and after flashing the ROM you have to flash the kernel (boot.img) with fastboot, but next time search the forum, this has been discussed many times

Run the ruu without attached device, don't close the the window.
Search inside your temp folder for the rom.zip, copy it to another folder and close the window.
Inside the rom.zip remove the hboot.img and recovery.img.
Flashing with bootloader:
Rename it to PG88IMG.zip.
Put it to the root of your sd.
Reboot to bootloader and follow the instructions.
Delete the pg88img.zip, otherwise it will try to flash it everytime you access the bootloader.
Flashing from recovery:
Put it to your sd.
Wipe all partitions except sd.
Flash it from recovery.
....extract the boot.img from the rom you flash via recovery and put it somewhere in your computer like C:\Android
then when you are in recovery open cmd connect your phone using the cable provided and type adb reboot bootloader
your phone will reboot in bootloader.now type in cmd fastboot flash boot C:\Android\boot.img
then reboot your phone.

That's why the hboot.img and the recovery.img needs to be deleted
Without those he still would stay s-off and with the same recovery, just the system, radio and kernel would be reverted back to stock

How can I remove TWRP anh put original recovery image back?
I found the recovery image in TWRP backup folder named recovery.emmc.win. I ran following command and it was successful but when I reset factory the phone, it boot to TWRP and do from there
D:\HTC\Fastboot>Fastboot flash recovery recovery.emmc.win
sending 'recovery' (16383 KB)... OKAY [ 2.404s]
writing 'recovery'... OKAY [ 4.151s]

i would still poke around and see if you still have the same camera issue running stock. there is also an updated ota for telstra 2.40.841.4 but if you haven't unlocked using htcdev you might have problems getting root. it might also cause you to have to flash boot.img manually but im not sure since im on at&t.

Thanks DvineLord. I will send back to see what happens. If they refuse to fix it then I will play around more.

no you dont have to do that. just "fastboot oem lock" then run ruu.

DivineLord, I also want to revert to the original Telstra ROM. But when I access FASTBOOT the only 'lock' command I see is "SIMLOCK". Is this the option I need to activate to achieve the "fastboot oem lock"?
You hook up the phone to the computer and type that in a command prompt in fastboot like when you unlocked

TWRP Keeps Loading instead of OS!
Hey Guys
last night i decide to install ViperX ROM for my HTC One X (Tegra3) so i first Unlock my Bootloader (HTCDEV Unlock) successfully , download and install the "2.6.3.0 TWRP Recovery" , then Use Fastboot Flash Recovery TWRP.img command to flash my recovery ...
KaaaBooooooom ! Touch is Not Working !
then I download the Hasoon 2000's AIO HTC ONE X Toolkit and install the TWRP 2.4.0.0-JB it worked !
i go and wipe all the options except the External Storage ! , and then SideLoad the VIPERX ROM , and follow the installation Process , it installed successfully , but after restarting , it keeps Loading "TWRP 2.6.3.0" Recovery instead of the OS !
actually when i reboot to BootLoader and and then select RECOVERY , it Loads me the Working 2.4.0.0 JB Recovery .... but when i normally reboot my phone , it keeps loading the TWRP 2.6.3.0 recovery !
i am tired and i want to fix it , please any advises will be strongly appreciated !
Thanks

There are two problems with this post.
1) You're in the wrong device forum, this is the HTC One XL forum.
2) What you're talking about isn't relevant to the thread you've posted in.
You need to head over to the HTC One X forum and ask there, we simply don't have experience with your device here.

Try this though, retrieve the boot.img from within the Viper ROM zip, put it in your fastboot folder, connect your phone in bootloader mode, and issue this command:
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img

CID returned is HTC_044... No matter how i flash recovery, the phone simply reboots... means i cant get into recovery mode.
I tried reflashing boot.img from vipers and relash recovery... doesnt work.
Right now, im trying to flash RUU via zip..... I have relocked my bootloader... Current status is that I managed to send the zip file over... but its stucked at writing for the past 10 mins...
This is the RUU where i extracted the rom.zip from
"RUU_EVITA_UL_ICS_40_S_hTC_Asia_WWE_2.23.707.2_Radio_0.19as.32.09.09_L_10.104b.32.25L_release_271654_signed"
It should be the same as my current rom... which if i read correctly, it will not get updated? that I should use the newer 3.17 RUUs for asia in order to fix?
************************ Update ************************
Okay great... now after waiting for 4332 seconds for the writing part to finish... I knew its not going to work via waiting any longer... I unplugged the USB... the command prompt shows up an error (FAILED, too many links)... I attempted to restart the phone from the HTC logo and now it doesnt start at all... cant even get into bootloader... =.=
************************ Update ************************
Okay I've managed to save my phone using this method http://unlimited.io/qhsusbdload.htm
So now im back to square one... I can go bootloader... i unlocked it again... but i still cant go recovery...
************************ Update ************************
Now its back to being bricked again... as I was working on the phone outside when i managed to unbricked it. I choose to power off the phone from bootloader menu, thinking that I could work on it when I get home... alas, when i got home... the phone doesnt turn on... and i saw the dreaded QHSUSB_DLOAD thingy again...... omg... And the above method no longer works..........

I dont understand why you guys want to relock and run the ruu... why not just flash a stock rom? Less headache

If you're relocked then you can't flash the zip. The ruu is an exe you need to run it with your phone in fastboot usb

Unlock boot loader again if its relocked and just fastboot flash twrp.. use the one click tool if you don't know how to flash recovery but as long as boot loader is unlocked you can flash recovery. Once you do, recovery will work again.

Maybe A bad download. Download the latest twrp.
Make sure boot loader is unlocked and you have fastboot usb on in bootloader
Then within toolkit pick flash other recovery and manually select the one you downloaded. Then try selecting recovery in bootloader.

RUU is an exe the fact it creates a rom.zip is fairly well hidden. Are you running the exe or doing some other crazy thing?
You should not be flashing anything to your phone if you are confusing zip and exe's, it means you lack the basic understanding of computers to be able to complete these tasks without failing.
How did you try to flash the recovery? What recovery did you try to flash? What were the errors given?
EDIT: you should not be using one click tools.
Use fastboot and flash recovery yourself, it is a simple task.

the zip file can be obtained via temp folder of the windows directory when you run the exe file.
The all in one toolkit requires the zip so I got it done via that method...
Yes I know how to do it via command prompt but the toolkit is handy...
And lastly you can say my understanding of mobile phone system isnt complete but dont insult me saying I dont understand whats zip and exe......
Bricked? Exactly what is happening.

I know it can be obtained from temp folder.
Why go to the effort of getting the rom.zip to use in the toolkit when you could simply just run the RUU, which you had to do to get the rom.zip in the first place? Especially when it was failing, why push on with trying to use the toolkit instead of just using the RUU as it was intended by HTC?
I have not much knowledge of the toolkit, but when it flashes zip's is it for normal ROM's or for RUU rom.zip? The rom.zip is not in a format that can normally be used by most tools, it is not the same as flashing a custom ROM.
The toolkit is likely only for installing custom ROM's via pre installed TWRP and not compatible with rom.zip.
You said you were using a RUU zip and complaining it was failing, it appeared at face value you were confusing what the RUU even is.
I am still lost why running the RUU and grabbing the rom.zip from temp folder and then flashing in a toolkit was your chosen method. This just points more towards you are confused about what a RUU is.
I am sure the RUU would work if you just let it run like it is supposed to.

Why?
Personally because of the state you have got the phone in to I would:
1)go get the correct tools. eg fastboot, unlockcode, twrp and rom
2)Ensure phone is charged
3)fastboot oem lock
4)Run RUU.. and try actually running it which means just click next and yes a lot.. no fancy going to temp folders and trying to incorrectly install rom.zip via random tools
5)fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin
6)fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.4.1.0-evita.img
7)fastboot flash boot boot.img (from desired rom)
8)boot into recovery
9)mount USB and transfer desired ROM
10)wipe data and system
11)install ROM
12)reboot in to ROM.

okay sorry for late reply .. You are S-ON and have CWM recovery that's why you can't pass the boot logo as CWM don't have the capibility of smart flash. you have to install 4ext recovery.
Follow the below guide :highfive: and i m assuming that your phone is htc dev unlocked and have adb and fastboot etc..
You need to flash boot.img manually using fastboot in bootloader to pass the boot screen. For viperS "boot.img" is present in kernel folder ,extract it and place it in fastboot folder..
Then open fastboot folder and press shift then right click button and choose " open command window here " .
In command window type this " fastboot flash boot boot.img " without quotes and press enter and done.
hope you understand.
After this you can install 4ext recovery easily using this guide ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1631861 ) ..
dude, after flash rom in cwm, power off phone, press volume - and power button to boot in bootloader, plug in usb cable, enter in cmd, type fastboot flash boot d:\boot.img ( search boot.img in arhive of rom )
