Sense 4 time - HTC Pico (Explorer)

Ever since sense 4 build 6 has green released I haven't been able to use sense and sense modded Roms without problem. Usually the most prominent is that system ui and settings fail to install and some don't boot at all like apex sense and jaggy desire 2. So can anyone help me

Using JaggyDzire v2 curently.Flahsed just today. TWRP 2.4.1 recovery with ext4 partition. No random reboots, smooth also played Subway surfers,Temple run 2..no glitches and the sound of JaggyDzire is the best till now.Unmatched really. No CM ROMs has a sound quite like JaggyDzire.
Some of the apps like What'sApp takes some time(5-6 seconds) to open.

I know mine is a isolated case and I don't know why am not able to use Roms. I use transcend memory card 8gb class 4

Free Storage Memory

Just wondering, how much internal storage do you guys have free on your phone, after you've set up and got all your apps and data installed?
For me:
CyanogenMod 7.1.0 - 0.95GB
Endymion 3.4 - 851MB
I have more or less same apps installed on both ROMs.
I guess Sense requires more memory.
I'm quite interested to see how much we use up.
How much do you guys have?

831mb on Endymion 3.4
the reason why sense ROMs take up more space is because the ROMs are bigger
sense ROM are around 300mb but CM & other AOSP ROMs are generally below 100mb
I have 861mb on reaper. I keep all my apps on on the phone rather than SD card but the number still seems low seeing as though I only have a few apps

The ROM size doesn't effect the free space on data, this are different partitions. But if you want to you could crop the system partition and extend data, because system got much free space with aosp roms.
But don't forget to extend system back to the old size if you flash a sense ROM.

just rooted and S-off, wich ROM.... ?

I just rooted my Sensation XE and got it S-off. :victory:
Installed Rom Manager and Titanium backup (backed-up everything).
Now i don't know wich Rom i would use....there are so many...
I want it to be stable, i use Go Launcher instead of Sense because Sense had the ennoying problem it was closing to free memory when i was using a load of memory. In Go Launcher i can select it to remain always open.
I would like a stable ROM wich keeps camera, bluetooth etc....all working without problems.
In addition of this question i would like to know if i can just remove Sense true titanium backup from my phone without problems? (on stock rom or other ROM ? )
I hope i put this thread in the right section 'cos i'm not used to using this forum yet
Thanks in advance for every reply :good:
You should seriously try Virtuous Inquisition very fast and stable. It's running Android ICS. But I don't know if you installed the required firmware. If not, do so.
Oh, and it's an AOSP Rom and it's senseless. Everything works fine.
Were can i find that rom and info about the requierd firmware ?

You can find the required firmware specs on the developers site of each Rom. I highly suggest trying out SEVERAL roms and see which one fits you the best. I'm using lightening Rom now.its brand new sense 4 and is fast and smooth! I think you would like it! No problems with it. But see its all a matter of personal taste . So do yourself a favor and try out SEVERAL! Have fun and happy flashing

In my opinion Android Revolution HD us the best rom I tryed, Mike does not use portings to ensure maximum stability and speeds... It comes with sense 3.6 bit on the thread he provides a script to completely remove HTC Sense...
It has a completely stock look... It's just optimized and updated.

Upgrade firmware and check Radio before installing custom ROM .. else post successful ROM installation you will end up with no Wi-Fi and Bluetooth..

What are you all retarded ?!?!?!? You gotta go aosp!!!! CM9 is the best choice only retards and crackheads like sense overlay (all offense) lol
I must say that on factory ROM i was using Go Launcher because Sense got closed sometimes when I was using many RAM. Reloading Sense always took a bit of time wich I found annoying. The downside of using go launcher was the loss of the HTC widgets... Go contacts wasn't so good in my opinion. In my current ROM Sense didn't close once so for me it's perfect. It looks very beautiful and it's faster than ever before.

Stable ROM ICS - HTC PICO (Explorer)

Hi Everyone,
In hours I'll be a recent user of a HTC Pico.
Since that, I'ld like to know if there's any Stable ROM for the HTC Pico with IceCreamSandwich Android.
By stable I mean, not having bugs, working properly.
Best Regards,
jmno
Nope, there is CM9, which have some bugs but is pretty usable, there are miui ports, there are some based on CM9 roms, mostly there are thing to choose from.

i have flashed almost all roms in the forum using custom recovery and by far flyrom v3 is the best, since was able to add overclock kernels without much issues,
sense 4 built 7 is good in matter of battery, data connectivity and keyboard(no lags), apps also opens faster
Why so much crap on its dev thread, why people not have patience and read instruction carefully as its been tested and then posted by the dev.
Derefas really rocks
just waiting for flyrom redefined... these are the roms meant for our pico gives its potential in its true way....

but still im waiting for the full release of sense 4a build 7
I am using this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2178560
It's very fast and fluid,
battery life is very good
CPU is overclocked to 800 Mhz (but I think it is on 480 or 600 Mhz most of the time (almost all the time), so I guess it's safe)
There is some problem with media recognization in media player, I hope it will be fixed soon.

Using darefas build#6 for one month now. No random reboots, no lag, no robotic call ( i use 2G for better battery life ) and able to install it on class 10 16GB sandisk ultra, on Kingston class4 8GB and right now running on sandisk class2 2GB. Best rom i used till now.

[Q] Sense 4 rom problems

Hi,
I think there are great Sense 4 roms out there but there's a problem with them.
Not Bulletsense, not Flyrom, not JaggyDZire, not derefas' build 7, not Apex rom, non of them work properly.
When i try to add animations to bulletsense it reboots but keeps hanging on the quietly brilliant logo, same on build 7 by derefas
With Apex sense it reboots but also keeps hanging on the same screen.
I don't know if its my fault but I like it to be solved.
Thanks!
Flyrom
hey buddy im using FlyROM v3 Revolution + FlyRom Script and its runing fine.
try to use superwipe before flashing.
it just reboot once. After installing the script it reboots, and i laugh at myself i forgot he says reboot twice after installing the script for it to work. then after that no random reboot thanks to shekhutanwar for the great rom. Godbless guys
Did u try jaggydzire latest version? It is the only sense 4 Rom working on my pico.
I am facing WiFi hotspot and USB tethering probs only.
All the sense 4 Roms are damn slow. U cant deny that explorer is made only for gingerbread. Sense 4 roms are eye candy but have to go a long way to become stable like gb roms.

Bro, I am using Jaggydesirev2-blackjack, which is too good and stable also. I haven't faced any issues here. First of all wipe data, cache And from advanced menu dalvik cache. then install the rom, hey !! don't reboot. now again install the finalizer then reboot twice. then the rom will work excellent. Wifi hotsport and usb tethering may be a little issue but else are ok. Try it, you will not be unhappy installing the same.
Hope I helped.
Thank me if I helped
