Hi, i have broken the connector of the lcd screen on the motherboard of my mio a701 , while not opening it correctly, so the plastic that press the lcd cable broke.
is there any way i can fix it? or improvize something that will press the cable on the motherboard contacts? or the motherboard is gone? it's sad because same breakage happend to me with my previous device, ppc 4100.
for anyone who tries to do that , you have to lift the lock above , not forward.

I believe that is the LCD ribbon cable and if you plugged it in and the LCD is no longer functioning you will need to replace the LCD. There is not a way to detach it for the LCD.
You can look for replacements on ebay or check out partstore.com
Hi,
The connector on the motherboard that has the flex cable which goes to the smaller board down of the battery is partly snapped off. (imgur.com/BnYn0OZ left side) This also means my screen is disconnected... When pressing on the connector it will still work but when not pressed the screen is just blank. Can I fix this without buying a new motherboard, which is expensive as ****, or am I screwed?
Thanks in advance!

You can stick something (like little plastic sheets) at the back of that cable, so it is always pushed against back cover.
I fixed a similar problem in my old Canon point and shot digital camera this way

Hi everyone, opening my phone I have accidentally broken the coax antenna cable (see pic).
I'm desperate, anyone know where I can find this part?
Has anyone replaced the flex cable for the two buttons? I'm just wondering if anyone was successful, and how difficult it is. I have my watch taken apart down to just the motherboard, but I'm not sure how that cable attaches to it.
Thanks
The ribbon cable is soldered on.
I have been told it is not a very difficult job.
I have the broken power button issue but I am hesitant in replacing the cable as I don't trust my soldering skills.
Perhaps I will replace the whole motherboard.
Have you had any luck with this issue? What did you do- replace the motherboard?
