So you guys already know that serie, but 4 will come back a little to 1 and 2 times. Why? First, there won't be only arenas, but dungeons too. Why "a little"? There are rumors it will be again free to play, so pay to win too. In my opinion we should wait for some official words, or just for relase, which is slated to "soon", like all/most Gameloft titles. For now, you can see few screenshots and a video teaser. It looks good, gameplay will be awesome, but the main question is, if it will be supported with XPlay, or will it be without lags and if yes, then we only need full game, not freemium. Gameloft please, come back to DH1/2 time!
Update 16.04.2013:
Game is out, of course freemium, that's pity .
Get it now on Google Play!

Re: Dungeon Hunter 4 - coming "soon"
I hope that this is more like DH2 and not the terrible DH3
Sent from my R800x using xda premium

...lol was DH3 really that bad?
Even though Eternity Warriors was story-lacking wave-by-wave mob slaying, I had fun with it. Does DH3 at least compare to Eternity Warriors?

Odp: Dungeon Hunter 4 - coming "soon"
DH3 was good if you played it max 7 arenas in day, cause they are similiar and that's all. Also, some money/gold hack needed, wihout it was pay to win. With graphics and technical features - it was great .

Re: Dungeon Hunter 4 - coming "soon"
DH3 is a good game, but it "forces" you to eventually use real money in the game. And it got repetitive and boring after a few levels.
Hopefully DH4 will be much better.
/==(CyberScopes)==\

I just hope i can play co-op and pvp with 3g conecction. Sadly i dont have wifi connection and because of that DH3 is boring.

Uhhh I kinda doubt it will truly work for the Xperia Play. And if it will it will have really poor quality and with many stutters.

Never lose hope if we're talking about Gameloft xD. By the way buddy, why you're not answering me via GTalk?

I'm actually getting to be quite amazed that Xperia Play can still dance with all these newer devices.
Seeing how well Xperia Play handles Bladeslinger, and seeing Modern Combat 4's performance go to a level near perfection over an update (without sacrificing graphical quality) makes me wonder if this damn thing is immortal
The Xperia Play just won't freaking die! ... this is also a great time to mention that it's dangerously close to 500 games

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?...set=a.248561425505.295193.216238295505&type=1
It should hit in few days officially, but when I see it, I will believe it. Gameloft f*ck up with relase date for Android pretty often so better wait than thinking it can hit today. On iOS it's out for about ~1 day.

It just hit iOs, should to to android soon as they said... 'very soon' though this IS gameloft we're speaking of so.. give it a few months.

and how about XP Optimize ???

on twitter gameloft said they were fixing some bugs before releasing it on android

For now, I don't believe in XP optimize, or even relase for Android before month from now. Gameloft fail again, I thought they will change but that won't happen....Preety bad :<.

Guys, let's not worry too much. Gameloft have always been good to the XP concerning games like this in the past. If it isn't optimized then so be it, but there is still life in our little machines yet

I'm gonna have to side with Korinn here. Gameloft has been with us from the get go, every Gameloft release that should've been adapted to a physical controller got it's "xperia play optimization" and despite some shortcomings, they've delivered some quality products...
And that aside, xperia play is still running recent releases with god-tier performance (did you guys already forget Bladeslinger? ...Scaresoul? ...Repulze?) - have a little faith!
Sent from my R800a using xda app-developers app

Sorry for the thread going off topic, but how long is Gameloft gonna stay with us??
/==(CyberScopes)==\

Probably not much longer since its been 2 years now since the plays release but if they see that lots of play owners are buying their games maybe they'll stick around a little longer and keep optimizing games for our play

Playstation Phone Unveiled -Images-News 28/10 (PSP2 LISTED AT SWEDISH ONLINE STORE)

Today Engaget had leaked images revealing a prototype model of the new upcoming psp phone.
Heres what else they had to say
" ...likely boasting Android 3.0 (aka Gingerbread), along with a custom Sony Marketplace which will allow you to purchase and download games designed for the new platform....sporting a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 (a chip similar to the one found in the G2, but 200MHz faster), 512MB of RAM, 1GB of ROM, and the screen is in the range of 3.7 to 4.1 inches. L...the handset does indeed have a long touchpad in the center which is apparently multitouch,...For Sony buffs, you'll be interested to know that there's no Memory Stick slot here, but there is support for microSD cards.
The particular model in these shots is still in prototyping mode. As such, the unit doesn't have a custom skin (not even SE's Timescape design seen on the Xperia devices), and is said to be rather buggy... but it's likely that much of what we reported earlier is still accurate, and though the device could still be headed for a 2010 release, 2011 is looking much more realistic."

What are your thoughts?
I think it looks great! Hopefully will be the successor to the original psp!
The centre-multitouch pad, to me, looks like a pair of dual analogue sticks
Great XD
Engadget have also claimed that the photos are legit!
This is a device which has been confirmed through multiple, trusted sources.....Even since last night we've received more info about the phone -- learning that its codename is "Zeus,".....it was last seen running Android 2.X (not 3.0, which we suspect will be the shipping version)....device pictured in those photos is a prototype running early software (which would explain the A / B button mention in the photo above) with hardware that was likely hand-built, or at the very least created in a very small batch.

Funny enough, over at webhallen There seems to be a PSP 2 on offer for pre-order for 3,295 kr (US$ 499.5). Could it be a mistake? A blunder? Or Reality?
If they keep the hardware similar to current smartphones there would be no reason some of the games couldn't be run on other android phones. This may be great news

Anyone else not see the point in this?
Why would i pay a ridiculous amount of money for a psp which doubles up as a phone when my psp sits on a shelf gathering dust?
If this was a ps3 portable then i'd be getting excited
this just seems ridiculous, why would they stick with snapdragon? or are they going to put in a different GPU, its a playstation phone so you would expect it to be able to throw around some serious muscle for gaming graphics.
I just dont see the point
Go look at epic citadel for the iphone, we could have games like that, we have the hardware its just the lack of developers
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
True, but its only a prototype so it could change!
Yeah and i agree, they should put a much stronger processor so it can handle some hardcore games!
The only thing i am worried about is if its released with an android os. Then all eyes are going to be looking here, at XDA, waiting for them to release a root so those poor pirates can start their piracy!
Makes me sick!!!
And the developers. Well we wouldn't necessarily need more devs as sony are going to hire them anyways to produce their PSP-like games! Hell they've already started on mortal combat!!!!!!!!
With Tegra 2 phones coming out early next year, why would Sony bring out a phone so behind the curve?

The reason being is that Sony need to get back in the race for portable consoles. With the 3DS coming out next year, and the fact their current PSP failed due to the insane amounts of piracy they need to step it up.
I think its a great idea seing as my current 1000 needs to be replaced with something new and fresh. Remember this is only a prototype and will change in the near future.

That's exactly the point. The reason your PSP sits on the shelf gathering dust is because you don't take it everywhere like your phone. If you could play ghost of sparta or little big planet during your lunch hour instead of wordfeud or paper toss on your phone, wouldn't you?
After the PS Phone release on the market, then somebody will find out how PSP games can be coded for Android mobiles like HTC Desire HD, Samsung Galaxy S etc.
So I am thinking that later they will be able to play Crisis Core on Samsung Galaxy S, HTC Desire HD etc.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction HD is out for Android.
It needs more than 500MB and runs really good on Desire:
looks hella crazy!! should run fine on my Galaxy S Vibrant....
WHOA, looks amazing! Finally, the first proper big game for Android! Should work fine for my Galaxy S as stated above.
It's been removed from the market already
Anyone know why?
Edit: I'm stupid. Sucks that you can only get it from Gameloft though
Looks awesome. Any more details on this? Developer, etc?
Edit: Nevermind. http://www.gameloft.com/android-games/splinter-cell-conviction/
This is why I must convince my dad to get me a new phone and a bigger sdcard
or a new ipod my 2g sucks curse you apple
While the game runs great the controls need work as it's insanely hard to navigate and shoot.
It's better or worse than the iphone's version.
Unfortunately the Android phone market is flooded with devices with subpar hardware. In fact apart from Galaxy S class phones everything else sucks compared to iphone (as far as GFX HW goes).
So I'm inquiring whether it was built with Galaxy/Nexus S in mind or plain Qualcomm devices. If it looks/runs significantly worse than the iphone version I already have my answer.
^BS its the exact same game. On all platforms, its the exact same game. The gaming controls suck though. Try out DD:FW
Heh, good news I guess...
We sorely need games of the Splinter Cell calliber on the Android Market, it's pretty much the last castle that Apple still holds...
BTW does DD:FW on the Android performs equally well as that of the iPhone?
Is anyone else not a fan of on screen controls? Or is it just me?

Heh I love em! Especially on FPS to be honest.
Running great on my Vibrant. I have wondered why it's taking this long to get decent games on Android. I know the iPhone has had better hardware than android phones, but earlier this year, most android phones had similar cpu/gpu specs. I'm guessing the software/OS in apple mobile products is just THAT much better. I know the Vibrant hardware blows away iPhones, but games/apps seem to run, at best, just as good.
Either way, I'm glad to see games this good start rolling out. The aiming isn't super precise(not horrible though, by any means), but the game overall has been great.
Fantastic !
People gameloft look like they starting to love us android users.
Bro the iphone doesnt have better hardware then android the only thing that better then us is their High Res screen that all...
They dont have better Os, they just have more money then google and promote heavily on their products that all.

So why is it dungeon defenders(and most other games) run smoother with lesser hardware? All decent games starting to roll out are being built for the tegra dual core phones. The iphone didn't need crazy specs to run what android phones are just now getting into. Unless you have another answer besides "money", I'm still convinced it's the os.

I can say it mostly because of Samsung Galaxy phones and Droid's line phone that have Power VR SGX530 & 540 chip that allow us to play this game fluently.
That what the iphone 3g & 3GS had over us up until last year with Original droid 1.
This year with galaxy phones and droid 1,droid 2 and X.
Other android device doesnt have them they have adreno 195 to 205 which is mostly htc devices has a bad graphic chip, doesn't allow the game to play steadly .
This is why Samsung was choice to be manufacture to make Nexus S and not htc.
Specs on Iphone graphic Gpu:
Iphone3g wiki info on specs . Graphics PowerVR MBX Lite 3D GPU
Iphone3gs wiki info on specs. Graphics PowerVR SGX535 GPU
Iphone 4 GPU Apple A4 (PowerVR SGX 535)
If you see a trend here developer like this chip to be on phone to enhance the graphic on the device.

Dreamcast in my phone would make me turn on the waterworks and I'm not sure I could stop soon.
I hope this guy brings forth something good. I'll be there to buy even if it costs a tenner.
I have to admit. I would love to play some "better than PSX" quality games on this device. Although I enjoy those PSX classics, they're somewhat dated. Dreamcast was an amazing system and the games hold up even to today's Gameloft titles imo. I would have to get a 32GB sd for sure. Hopefully he can implement the analog for the PLAY.
I wonder if this will play decent on our XP with an OC.

I can't wait for this ... I hope it runs as well as this on an OC XP (Damn you SE for putting in a single core CPU >_<)

Hopefully with more work he will get a good framerate out of this. Especially for the single core folks.

Nope would not of thought so. It's been coming up to 2 years now since the first videos. The most recent vids are from one of the beta testers who has the alpha apk, but he decided to show it off on newer hardware. Doubt we will see nulldce (from drk razel) ever. So here's hoping someone starts the project from scratch as he never gave out source code from what he achieved with this demoed test version.

Grand Theft Auto 3 (GTA III) on the Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-i727

Grand Theft Auto III, confirmed to work on Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket.
I purchased it for $4.99 a few minutes before midnight pacific time. I was a little bit worried that it would not be a supported device (none of the Samsung Galaxy S2 were listed as compatible devices, but it supported HTC Rezound which has the Snapdragon Adreno 220 combo that the Skyrocket has. The app itself was only a few megs but there was about 450MB to download before launching the game.
FYI, on your phone, you cannot find the game by searching "GTA". You have to find it by searching "grand theft auto". If you are on the market directly there are 3 releases by Rockstar:
Grand Theft Auto III (US version, this is the right one)
GTA III (Japanese Version?)
Grand Theft Auto 3 (German)
First impressions on performance.
The frames per second is good. Pretty much what you came to expect on the Skyrocket. Very smooth but when a lot of things are going on framerate might drop a little. When tons of stuff is happening, lag can lag a little bit but it won't be a show stopper.
First impressions on controls.
The controls seem aggressive when driving as though they've fast forwarded the game. I think I can adjust. The controls seem to work best when you are making quick taps to adjust rather than having to hold something down.
Audio
It seems that all the radio stations and licensed songs are there. It is not straightforward how to change radio stations, but you have to swipe left or right where it says the name of the radio station. That space itself is really small to be swiping but it is possible. I love the Chatterbox radio station. It is the work of genius and Lazlow hasn't been as funny in any of the following releases.
In conclusion
It seems like they delivered on every one of my expectations. It is the full game. The controls work. The performance on the Skyrocket is good enough to play through the entire game. I can't believe I will get to play my favorite game on a device I carry with me at all times. This is a total win in my book.
One last note. If you do end up on the map, you exit the map by tapping on the home icon at the bottom right of the screen.
I noticed that when u buy apps from Amazon Appstore, even though the Android market says they are not compatible, most work with no issues or problems.

Does not work, it hangs at a black screen and my CPU goes to 50.0%. Tried Chainfire but crashes after a few seconds after starting the game.

Update:
Wow, I can confirm that the app that I purchased is now listed as not supported on the skyrocket, or even the SGH-i777(non skyrocket). I guess that is the backlash for buying it, getting a corrupt download, then 1 starring the review. I gave it 5 stars so it wasn't me.
Although I had Chainfire 3D drivers installed, I am not using any plugins, and using the default option which should be like not having chainfire at all. I haven't tried removing the chainfire drivers, removing chainfire, and rebooting the device to see if it doesn't work though.
It is still possible to get. I won't say how though, don't want to break the rules

Docomo's to release SH-06D Nerv Evangelion phone

A friend just showed me this today
http://www.evageeks.org/2012/03/a-look-at-docomos-new-evangelion-sh-06d-nerv-smart-phone/
A new Nerv phone to celebrate the release of Neon Genesis Evangelion 3.0
Whether you're an Evangelion fan or not its hard to deny that the phone looks incredible. Since it's being released by Docomo though I have little hope it will release outside of Japan.
Any chance someone might pick this up and release the rom and somehow get it to work on another 2.3 compatible android phones? The interface looks epic!
What are your thoughts?
Quote from the blog:
The SH-06D is also made by Sharp, but unlike the previous model, is a touchpad smartphone that will run Android (2.3 Gingerbread). It also boasts a 4.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution and 16 million colors. The phones will come pre-loaded with some Evangelion and a theme designed by Studio Khara.

No m8 like all the lamest kiddy Animes it will be powered by the massive amounts of teenaged angst the main protagonists radiate, with a backup power source fuelled by the obsessive sexual desires for female characters who exist only on celluloid (actually more on digital files these days) given of like a bad smell by the Otaku lacking in enough critical judgement to like Evangelion-esque anime .... sigh.
Come on guys it gets a lot better than Evangelion if you bother to look deep enough ............
Just for record am a pro animator and long standing Anime fan.
someone has access to this ROM?

OP's article was followed up on May 16th. Preorders start June 16th, with release a bit later that month. Got videos and more info.
Only 30,000 units will be produced, do hope the ROM and theme make their way onto XDA or elsewhere. If I can't get the phone, I at least want to customize my Rezound with that theme.
Would be very cool if something like this came to the U.S. I'm sure someone will eventually port the UI, but I'm considering going to the local fab place and seeing what it would take to do this kind of case customization once I find my next device.
Looks pretty cool, hopefully we get the rom, I wouldn't mind playing around with it.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Amazing indeed!!! I wonder how much would it cost. But with 30,000 units i doubt that the price would be afordable.
Apparently it will sell for around USD$850 at launch in Japan.
if anyone wants to get together a fund for this, ill order one and see about rooting and dumping the rom for evoryone to play with.

Sorry by advance for my questions... is it possible to only have a adwlauncher ex theme... which does everything.
I try to follow the video and the explanations but it was quiet hard and don't have really understood the reason to use glaeja (it seems to do the same thing that adwlauncher ex?).
Other question, can i use this theme on my GS3?
Thanks by advance!

No there is not a ADW theme. One dev could work on this and make some money though. Glajea is the app wich allows you to have all those widgets on the home screen.
Yes i used it with normal sense theme too. It is useable with quite every launcher and theme. The point was to do it look like Docomo. I don't understand Japanese either, but follow step by step everything from the video and you will get it
