I've been trying to address some memory limitations with my Blaze by loading and trying custom ROMs. I have tried a bunch. Right now I am on CM 10 nightly. I finally got to a point of zen except that my softkeys are not functioning. I have done searching and found some reference to keymap files and using *#*#2663#*#* in my phone dialer. No joy, yet. The phone dialer thing gives no subsequent options to try. I don't appear to have a Blaze specific keylayout file in /system/usr/keylayout.
Loading different ROMs seem to make no difference. I doubt it is the fault of CM10.
Advice would be welcome.

WHY HELLO DER EVO FORUMZ. long time no see! i should stop back in more often....
so a good friend of mine (themachomidget) asks me to make a 100% battery percent mod for mik 3d beta 1.
so this is stock (i think. its whatever jack sent me) mik3d framework with sprintlovers battery percentage (i take no credit for creating the icons)
just flash from recovery. written in edify so it should work fine with anything.

I downloaded and tried this with the supersonic3d rom and it did not work for me just sent my phone in to continous loop on boot screen. Have you tried to get this to work with the rc1.2 release?

that's not the rom that this is based off of, which is why you got bootloops. i'm not going to support this, unless someone specifically asks for it. if you want, pm or link me your framework-res.apk and i can add battery percent to it (if that's what you're looking for) or whatever else you want.

idk nand backup and try it. if anything's broken or it won't boot, send me your framework-res.apk and i'll change it. what mods do you want? just battery percent?
I wanted to try a different ROM since I've been using the same one for about a year. I booted into CWM and flashed and followed all the directions about wipe this, reset that. But it will not boot into the ROM. It just stays at the Samsung loading screen. Any ideas on how to fix this?
What rom did you come from? Suggest take it back to stock...with qkster one click and then using his one clock install cwm..then install your new ROM...btw what ROM are you trying to install....see my signature links...to look for one click...lb3 thread...
Can you link me to the right app? I feel like if I guess and try a download it will be wrong.
I was coming from a CM7 build trying to go to Aeon or Zeus or back to the same rom, I kept them all on my SD Card. I'll try going back to stop, and installing CWM.
Thank you, I'll post what happens.

Post 2.....follow directions....to get cwm so you can flash a ROM...

Downloading now, on a very slow connection. 1 hour left.
Here is what the phone does now, I was reading and it looks like I have the correct version of CWM, maybe the ROM was just a bad download?

As Joe has recommended, going back to stock with any of the packages will get you out of that boot loop.
You can also try to flash entropy's dd kernel a few times with power off between each flash and then flash your ROM. You can also try flashing the rom you want 2 or 3 times to see if it will take.
The changes in CM9 cwm 5.xxx kernel need to be flashed over a few times.
Sorry, it was CM7 not CM9!

This will probably be moved or you may want to post this in the help section. But while im here. You able to get to bootloader? Or download mode? From power off hold all three down. Power home and volume down. You should xome to a triangle. From there you should be able to get to recovery. If not save battery and get to a computer and xda the odin 3.07 .zip and drivers also the file will be there as well. You should be ok. I dont want you to freak out as it is kindof hard to really brick. But possible . So. Head over and follow the simple steps. I got in a hurry once and flashed the wrong zip and blacked out. I powered off via battery pull held three buttons and volume up I believe. Then I got back into recovery via reboot.
Edit. I then wiped everything. System too and reflashed backup

It's a known bug in 4.1.2, sometimes the phone will reboot when you activate loudspeaker in call.
It is fixed in cm10.1 (4.2.2), so try that rom out if you want the above feature.

Speaker works fine on Jenkins CM 10.1.3. If the home & search button did not work, you probably did not trim the rom.
Thanks

You can install the rom without trimming, but after installing the rom, remove system applications that you don't use, and then flash gapps if you want to
