[OT] Prepaid/Paygo SIM for London, Brussel and Paris - General Questions and Answers

If anyone could give input on which SIM to get, it'd be much appreciated. Wife and kids will be traveling for a week through London, Brussels and Paris, with the longest stay in London. They'll have 2 Gnex GSM (kids would bring a toroplus if it wasn't useless there).
My current thought is for her buy a SIM card from this vending machine at Heathrow, or at many other drug/pharmacist stores once she gets in town. The vending machine seems to sell the SIM cards with a top-up value, but the Web site isn't very clear. I know top-up places are plenty once she's in town.
Which providers and what roaming add-on is available? T-Mobile and 3 looks like a good deal for minimal talk, text and some data. Not sure about 3 coverage though.

US Prepaid Providers - Which To Go For?

Hi
I have a load of trips to the states coming up, and its probably gonna be worthwhile for me to get a US prepaid SIM card. I assume that the major GSM providers cover the whole country these days? I'll be visiting Portland, Boston and Seattle.
Whats the best provider to go for, I want cheap(ish) calls to UK, full internet access via GPRS, and cheap txt messages?
My device is unlocked so no worries there
Nigel
I use T-Mobile and will be again when I return to the states. You can buy these sim cards on ebay and when used in conjunction with a calling card you can get really cheap calls.
I am going to New York soon and am considering buying a quantity of these cards to sell on ebay myself.
Here is the auction I had my eye on and the shop this guy runs from is on new york. The auction below has now finished but it gives you an idea.

[Q] PAYG Data options for visitor to USA and Canada

I'll soon be taking a three week trip equally split between the USA and Canada. Like most people on this forum, I'm going to want data access from my GSM smartphone for the duration, especially Google Navigation. Of course using my Orange UK contract SIM is out of the question because I don't intend to remortgage my house. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good SIM which will allow reasonable data changes across both countries?
In the past I've used T-Mobile for USA-only trips, but it appears the charge $10 a Mb in Canada which is out of the question. AT&T appear to be similar. The best deal from the Canadian networks in the USA appears to be $1 a Mb which is also too much. Is the only solution really to get two SIM cards?
I know their are many specialist roaming SIMs available, but I haven't come across any which cover this combination well. Any insights would be welcome.

[Q] Recommended carriers in Germany for i9020T?

I will be visiting Germany in a month's time. I'm currently thinking of getting an O2 SIM card with the 200MB data plan. This should allow me to navigate using Google Maps and doesn't block Skype. If you know any better option, please tell me .
I will be staying there for just a bit over a week. Network coverage needs to include Hamburg, Kiel and Berlin. I'll be landing at the Hamburg Airport, I would prefer to buy the SIM card in the Airport if I can find one there, otherwise can any can point me at the right direction to get one. Many thanks for advices.
I'm so looking forward to put my Nexus S to real use.

[Q] AIO Wireless

Hey guys,
So I recently purchased an unlocked Galaxy Nexus and pretty much got screwed over by ATT (long story) so I was looking at other mvno providers that run off of the AT&T network as in my area the only available providers are AT&T or Verizon. It seems like ST is no longer selling AT&T SIM cards so that is not an option. I stumbled upon AIO wireless which was JUST launched by AT&T. They claim the coverage is only available in Tampa, Houston, and Orlando however when looking at the coverage map http://source.aiowireless.com/home.html you can clearly see their coverage spans the entire US. Has anyone tried buying one of their SIM cards and seeing if it works in a different area? I would love to buy a SIM, pop it into my Nexus contract free!
Thanks guys
Yes, and No (at least for now)
I believe the problem is that AT&T is only allowing purchase of AIO Sim cards and devices in Tampa, Houston, and Orlando as a trial as of now. The coverage is the same as AT&T's, its just that unless you have an address in one of the mentioned cities right now, you wont be able to acquire an AIO sim card for the plans. But they should be expanding very soon with more cities coming in the coming weeks depending on how AT&T determines the trial.
Need AIO wireless referral code
can someone hook me up w/ an AIO wireless referral code? We'd both save $25.
Thx.

American visiting Europe, need help on cell coverage!

A friend is visiting Europe for 2 weeks, so I'm trying to help out to keep the costs down.
Currently on Verizon here in the US, using a iPhone 5s. Traveling to Ireland, Netherlands, Germany, Belgium.
What are their options as far as coverage between the counties? Can they just buy a SIM card pay as you go?
Any/all info works be great!

Are they looking to make any calls or just strictly use the phone for data? A quick google gave me this Verizon international data pricing:

Not sure what disposables cost or pay-as-you-go's, but this should be a start. Hope your pal has fun over there.
Is Google Voice/hangouts an option when on WiFi in Europe?
When I travel I buy pay-as-you-go/prepaid sim cards, usually they are easy to get, are cheap and work well.
If you buy them in the UK first, you can buy a pay-as-you-go SIM which will work well and cheap in europe as well, specially for data. If you buy it in Europe first then it may not work in the UK.
Using Google hangouts/voice/skype etc is also a decent option but most public free WiFis are too slow to handle a voice call. The WiFi in hotels is usually okay.
