Hello everyone.
I'm having an odd issue with Candy Crush Saga on my Android phone.
I have "installed" the game by 1. downloading it directly from the playstore and 1mobile app store. 2. downloading the .APK file and running it from my phone directly and it says it installs successfully either way but when I start the game, all I get is a black screen and the game music.
I then decided to check for the game files in my phone to see if something was missing and oddly enough, I can't find the game ANYWHERE in my phone. I looked under Android/Data and it's not there and there is no data/data folder at all.
I don't know where the game is being installed but it's obviously there because I can "run it" and uninstall it.
Does anyone know what could be wrong? would it be possible to just copy the data/data/com.king.candycrush folder directly to my phone to make it work? if so, is anyone kind enough to supply me with a zipped data folder of the game files so I can download it and place it in my phone?
Thanks, any helps is greatly appreciated.
I am having a similar problem to you when trying to install Candy Crush Saga on my Kindle Fire.
I searched on the amazon/android site via the kindle to find and install the game but the exact Candy Crush Game did not show up to download and install( which really surprised me considering how popular the game is right now ), so I searched the web and found it and downloaded the .apk file to my pc. I have added the .apk game file to the kindles internal storage folder and then used 'es explorer' to install and play the game.
The problem I have is that the game icon does not appear on the home screen carousel to start the game again or add it to my favourites, so I have to go through es explorer and start the game that way which is a pain, but its doing my head in as to why the game icon does not appear in the home screen carousel because it is installed and can be unninstalled.
If anyone knows a solution to this please post below and put my mind at rest.
Cheers!

Sorry, meant, how do i install games onto FPSece on my LG incite
Please and thank you
I seriously doubt your PDA can even handle PSX games.. let alone store more than one ROM on your Phone.. but if you really want to then i guess you should google it.
I googled it from before, but i found the game in 30 parts (Disc 1, part 1, Dis 2, Part 2, etc...)
nd they were all RAR files, so how am i supposed to install that as a ROM

The sharing of psx roms is illegal and the discussion of warez is banned on this site
EDIT: I didnt realize that talking about getting links to roms was illegal until i read the post before me so i just deleted the links
I broke down the steps just to make them easy to follow because i remember searching for a while when trying to play my first game
I assume that you already extracted teh fpsece zip file to your phone. If you didn't yet, make sure you make a new folder on your phone somewhere on the sd card and label it Fpsece, or whatever you like as long as you can locate it. When you downloaded fpsece, it should be in a zip. Extrap all of the files in the zip (yes all of them) to the folder that you created on your sd card. Once extracted, go to your phone and open up File Explorer and find the new folder you created. Next click on FPSEce.exe (it has a playstation icon). From there you should be in the main menu. Select Options, Bios, Choose bios, and select SCPH1001.BIN. Now that you have selected it, go to options, Misc, Display, and select Portrait suince you dont have a keyboard or if you have a bluetooth gaming pad, you can select Landscape.
Now to play the game, press start, and if the game ends in like .bin, .iso, .img, .nrg, .z, .bz, or .znx, press ISO and select the game. If the game ends in .psx, .exe, .elf, or .cpe, press ESE. You should be able to play the game now!
Hee hee, its Leo from VG Cats. I like their comics. Happy Holidays!
THis thread is going now where and dur to questionable material, i am closing it.
Hello there!
I installed the baseball superstar 2010 app by clicking a loose .apk that I've put onto my sd-card on my HTC Hero, and now I am wondering, where my saved season results are being stored. Or any save-files for that matter. I cannot find any result of this game on my phone.
Does anyone know where I need to look (and what app do you use to browse your files btw?) Would like to know if anyone has ever succeeded in editing these results too. And how, ofcourse
you can download astro file manager, you can search everything on your phone.
Hi there. Thanks for the tip. I think I have the location. I thought originally that it would unpack and install in some kind of folder, like all games do when you install them on a normal desktop. But.... with astro, when I click on the .apk file which I also used (I think) to install it on my phone, it asks me: browse file or open app manager. So I think the place to be is 'browse file'.
But then..... I always assumed, that my savegame, or my own personalised player would be stamped with the date of today, or yesterday, when I last played the game. But I cannot find anything recent. And there are filetypes my phone doesnt recognise, like: mpl, dat, and ptc.
So now my question is: how can I view these files on my desktop pc (because I cannot seem to browse the .apk file there) and do you have any idea which one I should try to open???
I can't seem to find the path for a game I downloaded and installed from the Amazon app store today, I'd like to have a look at a few of the files but have no clue where it is - can someone help me out? The game is Fiel Runners
Thanks,
tat
I have that game too. I just checked on my phone, and it is installed in the /data/data/com.subatomicstudios folder in internal memory.
Hi all,
Loving my Optimus 3D but can't seem to work out how to rename files and folders. I know once you have taken a photo it gives you the option to Rename, but I was wondering how I could go back and rename photos and video files, and folders from before (without connecting to my computer). Anyone know?
Also can you create folders within the phone for content? And can you organize content in the Applications section, e.g. sorting Downloads in order or placing them in different categories.
Any help would be much appreciated
Cheers

To rename files and folders and create folders on your phone you'd have to have an explorer app that allows you to browse your filesystem. I'm not aware of any browser apps that don't require root (ie. Astro or Root Explorer) but then again, I've never had the need for one and always had my phones rooted.
You might wanna be carefull when renaming folders and files though.
I don't think the standard launcher allows changing the contents of the applications drawer.
Thanks for the response, appreciate it. At the risk of sounding like a total noob, what do you mean when you say having your phone rooted? I'm total new to smart phones and always just had an old simple mobile.
Also, is the Optimus 3D like the iPhone in that you need to hack it to install apps downloaded from your PC for free or can you install any apps via PC
get "estrongs file explorer". it's free and does many many many more amazing things than just letting you rename files without root requirement.

Rooting a phone basically gets you super access, kind of like having an administrator account on Windows. It comes in handy for example when you want to use custom roms, get complete file access, use screenshot tools etc.
And an Android phone is in no way an iPhone when it comes to installing apps. There's an option that when turned on allows the installation of apps you didn't get from the Market (it's in the Application section of your options menu). Presuming you only use free programs you downloaded you can just put the .apk file on your internal or external sd card and install it, either by using a file browser (such as the mentioned Estrong) to find the apk or using a separate app installer which you can download from the Market.
Awesome, thanks for the reply really appreciate it, and I actually understand it now.
So if I downloaded and installed an app or game from the internet for free, that usually had to be bought on the Android market or from Gameloft for example, could you get in trouble or banned/blocked in any way?
Sorry if this is a noob/inappropriate question
Cheers
no. google actiually lets you do what you want with your device.
Awesome, good to know. I'm really wanting the Gangstar games from gameloft but they aren't available to purchase via Gameloft yet. I can download the pirated versions and install them, but would Gameloft cause any problems when I did so or would I always have to play in airplane mode?
Most pirated software works just like the original version, just check if there's any installation instructions. The biggest disadvantage in my opinion is not being able to update pirated software through the Market.
You can use Polaris Office included in the phone as file explorer for all the naming, copying etc.. The name is a bit misleading
Nice, I didn't know that Polaris was a glorified file browser. Works great for viewing, editing and removing files and folders.
So, to the topicstarter, this is all you need to do the things you want. You can edit your filesystem and browse to your downloaded apps to install them (for example create a map called DownloadedApps, connect your phone to your pc, copy any downloaded apps to the map you created, disconnect, use Polaris to browse to the DownloadedApps map and click on any app you want to install).
If you want to rename a file or folder just long press on it and you'll be presented with all the options you need.
Yeah, I just had a play around with it, looks and works really good. Thanks for all the help folks much appreciated.
PS - If anyone could provide instructions and a link on how to install the Gangstar games (hereby showing me how to install ripped games at the same time) I would very much appreciate it. Been having no luck getting it to work
