I been buying apps, games, and songs from the Play store for years, and now everything I do gets errored out. I can download free apps, but nothing paid. Can't use play credit, my CC, or charge to my phone account. Just started the other day. Well, I got an email from google saying they had issues with verifying my account and I need to provide a copy of a utility bill or goverment ID. Are they serious?? Anyone ever seen this? I seen this before, but it was an issue on google's side, and it fixed itself out. I responded to their email, but haven't heard anything. I did a search, and seems like some people have been waiting months for something to resolve their issues, but nothing yet.
Can anyone provide any insight?

So every time I use the web to browse the App store I have the option to download apps to all of my registered devices. While I wiped my Prime before returning it to Best Buy, it still shows up on my google play account. Does anyone know how Google keeps track of the devices? Serial? Is it possible that my refurbished Prime could be sitting somewhere receiving Apps I send to it? If yes, do you know of any cool things I could send to its new owner?
only if they log in with your gmail acct.
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.... My wife decided to purchase me a brand shiney new Droid 2 as a surprise. The rep @ Verizon typed my email incorrectly, creating a new Google Account for me. Instead of "draexo" the rep typed "draxeo". I did not notice for some time and was purchasing apps under the miss-spelled user name. Forward many years and I still have two Google Accounts. Every ROM I flash, I put in both accounts so that my paid apps would not have to be purchased again. Most of the paid apps under the miss-spelled name are no longer around, however a few key apps are (ROM Manager, SET CPU, TiBu). I would like to finally retire this miss-spelled Google Account. I figured out that to re-purchase the apps would be under 20$ so I am all set to do that. Is there a way, however, to sort out which of my APPS were purchased under which account and which FREE apps were downloaded under which account. I was thinking TiBu would sort by account, but it does not appear to have a filter for Google Account. Any ideas or suggestions I can try?
Thanks
Basically...
When I made my first Google Account 7 years ago.. I didn't exactly think about making a serious username. Lets do some math here.. I'm currently 18, so 7 years ago would make me 11 when I came up with my google gmail username..
Yea..
Problem is, I've stuck with it, still to this day, because there's so many contacts, purchases, music, data, storage, etc.. bundled into my account. 7 years of everything and anything google attached to a Gmail address that isn't formal enough for what I would like.
Since google does not currently offer simple Gmail address changes, the only solution for me would be to create an entirely new google account. (correct?) But I'll have to move everything over, atleast as best I can.. can't really move purchases over I don't think.
Anyways.. I'm looking for opinions on the best way to go about this. Has anyone done something like this before? Say anything! Thanks
It's called Google Takeout.

I currently have a weird issue with the google play app store.
I have quite a few payment methods on my account (credit card, debit card, paypal and carrier billing) but all of them fail and give an error of "invalid payment method" or "this payment method has been declined) for one specific app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.robotics.wearable.trains&hl=en). I can buy other apps fine with no issue, but this specific app fails every time.
I have tried using my phone, my tablet, multiple web browsers on my laptop and even tried setting up a new google account with my paypal account linked to it on a spare phone, but I always get the same errors.
I am guessing this is an issue to do with the app / developer now, and have emailed them. But in the meantime I am wondering if anyone has seen something similar before and if they managaed to fix it.
Cheers.
Having the same issue (different app). I have a ticket opened with Google.
It is starting to feel creepy.
How does the "People" section in the Play store make suggestions for people to follow?
I had another google account that I closed and it clearly was getting them from my contacts. It creeped me out a bit as I'm ridiculously cautious as to any type of web presence for work. I deleted that account, created a new one and have never put any contacts on my phone nor on the google servers. I use a third party contact app from Verizon that is in the cloud now. I have no Google+ account and don't even use gmail on that account, it is tied to a private email address.
Today I notice it is suggesting people I know from 20 years ago. People I went to high school with that I haven't spoken to in years. Not just one or two, but like ten. What are the odds??? I am assuming it is geographically based but would like to hear more. It's just odd to me. Thankfully it's no longer suggesting business associates, etc. because it no longer has access to that info on my new account.
Also, since I have no Google+ account and don't ever plan on creating one, does this mean that I do not show up to them or would I still show up? (Also, I do keep in contact with one of the 20 people I actually knew, and they use iPhone, not Android. So obviously it wasn't because they linked us from her contacts.)
