Is it possible to make this compatible with 2.3?

It would be possible, after some development, to do so, but we would have to sacrifice a lot of performance and usability features to do so. At this point the team is interested in pushing for the future instead of working on 2.xx compatibility.
Is there some reason you can't get onto 4.0.2++?

Thank you so much for the positive feedback. If you are interested, we are starting a new facebook community and reddit sub-reddit to connect with our international users, get feedback and keep everyone engaged. Would be great to see you from time to time there.
Facebook/Reddit "Atom Launcher" search should get you there.. I will update with real links once I have more then 10 posts here.

I can, but there is no official ICS or above for Atrix 4G.
There are builds of ICS and JB but the performance is not near as good as GB. Problems with camera and many graphical issues make it not worth using.
This launcher looks nice. Maybe if the team gets time they could make a seperate version of the it for 2.3.
Great launcher, I love it.
By cons it is you set out to do translations (French would be great)?

Glad to see an official thread here, I'm still using Atom as my launcher and it's been great. I am looking forward to new features and updates.
There is slight lag while going in the app drawer. The recreation of icons are the cause of it so I suggest you use cache there..

I'm enjoying the launcher. Is there a way to remove the margins around widgets ?

Re: [OFFICIAL][APP 4.0.2++]Atom Launcher - 1.4.4 March 21
Been running this for quite some time now. Absolutely love it but the one thing I do find frustrating is the inability to change the all apps icon to whatever I want like I can with all other icons on the home screen. :/

Very Nice
This is a great launcher. No lag at all, and the themes are nice.
A few things that I would like to see:
- The ability to hide the app dock. I like to keep my screen free of icons.
- Separate swipe up and swipe down gestures
- The ability to open the app drawer with a gesture
- The ability to expand notifications with a gesture
If this launcher could do those things, it would be perfect in my opinion. I'll be keeping it on my phone for now. Looking forward to see how this develops. If you put out a pro key with added features, I would gladly buy it .

Everyone thank you so much for the positive feedback!
The team is originally from Korea and so we have a great community over there but as of yet on the worldwide stage we are just starting. It is an IMMENSE help to us for you to give your feedback and comments on our Facebook page and especially to check out our reddit subreddit and post random stuff and comments there! I know it is a bit of a bother, but I just wanted to let you know that at this point where we have such a small community, every Like, +1, upvote counts.
I will update the OP with links.
Thank you so much again!

I will update this threads w/ more pics etc when I can. I replied to the Atom/Nemus project manager and told him to make a thread since I had made the previous Nemus (holy grail) thread and didn't keep it updated like i should, so once he joins & gets enough posts to link this thread can be deleted and his thread should be used, but I wanted to pass the knowledge until that happens.

Dear dskrilz,
I am the project leader of Nemus Launcher.
Thanks for introducing our apps in XDA developers.
I should deliver this thank message long ago, please understand that I had a busy time to handle issues.
Finally we upgraded our launcher to ICS version, newly designed and implemented for ICS and JellyBean.
If you have a ICS device, can you test our new launcher?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dlto.atom.launcher
Also I want to notice our new launcher to XDA-developers site as you did before,
but I'm not familiar with that site.
It will be helpful if you could give me some advice/tip for posting that forum.
Best Regards,
SeungMin

4.0+ ICS ONLY ...... bla bla ....... it won't run on your TI86 either :victory:
Here are some tips for those who were having trouble accessing some features:
Use Desktop Visualizer to make shortcuts w/ custom icons.
So I have downloaded the Launcher. It seems fast.
This launcher is a breath of fresh air. Very clean and smooth. One thing I would like to request is a Google Play link in the atom widget. Nice work
Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
Whoah this has amazing potential, great job for a first release.
A minor feature request which I'm sure is coming:
custom icon for icons/groups on desktop.
Cheers, keep up the good work, greatly appreciated :victory:
Could someone post the apk for some reason it says it doesn't support my phone
Are you on running on ICS? Please don't post the apk, as I am not the dev and I don't want to do it w/o permission and I don't want to affect his Play Store stats. If you are on ICS and you've tried market spoof apps, and it still won't install, PM me and I will get it to you. I will ask the dev if I can post it meanwhile.
---------------
Just fixed the image links and made a little graphic. Feature list later.

China
I remain suspicious of all of these free Chinese apps. GO launcher and all the widgets, LBE, MIUI
If we went back 20 years, when I was a kid and had smartphones then there is NO WAY we would be using a bunch of apps from the Soviet Union. China is a modern Soviet Union. Has anyone done any real research into these apps? Decompiled, sniffed traffic, etc? Maybe I'm insane, but we need to start to look deeper into these apps from China.
Wow just found out u can resize folders I to bar style to show up to 5 apps in a 5x5 grid

Hi everybody, i'm the developer of Smart Launcher. There were other threads on xda about my launcher but I thought it was a good idea to start another one, update by me, to talk about its development. I hope this is not against the forum rules and if it is, i'm sorry.
Smart Launcher is an innovative launcher characterized by a minimalist design, low memory usage and an user-friendly UI that let you start any application with a few taps.
It is currently the only launcher on the store to features automatic cataloging of installed apps!
The developing team is composed by just me, so please be patient if sometimes i'm late with the updates.

I'm working on a new version that bring new clock styles, new bubbles style and a strong code optimization in the drawer. There is a bug that cause the launcher to crash on drawer on some devices and I'm trying to understand why this happens. what's the difference between the free and pro version...also testing it right now
Im using the pro version, im loving it! Can we request features? If so id like to request these:
- Option to add widgets on homescreen
- Option to change app drawer icon
- Add folders in app drawer
- Different clock styles
nvm, I got a force close when I tried to add an app to another category and now apps don't appear on the app drawer and I mean no apps appear on the app drawer.

I really do like this launcher. I purchased the pro edition. My two complaints-
1. Can't resize widgets
2. I'd like to be able to add sections/pages/categories. For example, I'd really like to have a favorites category.

1. I hope to manage to add this feature asap;
2. It's not so easy. If the original set of categories change, the auto-catalogation will stop working. I'm searching for a solution...
my words are. just keep the launcher simple and lagg free.. dont bloat it too much. just keep the basic functions... testing it right now.. =)

I'm using an LG optimus one, it seems the only way to fix the problem to uninstall and install the launcher again.
Are you still developing this app? I just found it last night and love it. I have one problem... Running sense based ROM and when I try to use this launcher it removes my gallery from my camera app. Any idea how to fix it?
This is a cool launcher. A couple of things I would suggest is to remember where you were in the drawer when you open it instead of always starting with the phone. Another thing is when you you launch an app from the home screen it doesnt go to where you left the app it goes to the start page.
Just a message to thank you for this really nice launcher. Il love it !!!
Just started using this launcher from Trebuchet, fast and simple.....loving it!!! Keep up the excellent work and keep it simple!
This launcher is really awesome, I don't know if it is caching or just optimization, but opening it after almost every app ( 512 mb RAM aren't so much if you use CM and lastest GApps... ) and finding it already ready is fantastic!
The only thing I'd like is a category-free old-fashion drawer. I really like the JB default one, with horizontal paginating and effects, and having it would be the best for me. I find really difficult to use categories, I like to swype between pages of apps and find them all. With even this choosable, my Home would be perfect and fast!

I am really liking the appearance and function of this launcher as well. I can not figure out how to add an XDA APP shortcut on the screen though. It just allows me to select the XDA APP from within the launcher but that one does not have my preferred forum start page saved, if you know what I mean. I have a galaxy S3 from verizon so that is the forum I would like to go to when I select the XDA APP. However, becuase it links from the App drawer and not a shortcut, I have to manually search for the verizon galaxy S3 everytime.
Am I missing something?
This is my favorite launcher. Im using pro and I love it.
*Gingerbread clock style is not enough in turkish language. Some of day names is not looking correct.
Great Launch
Just want to congratulate you for this app. It's really AWESOME. KISS rule at state of art.
iconback, iconupon support ?

Hi GinLemon
I am currently developing themes with multi launcher support. I was wondering if smart launcher supports or could support the feature of iconback, iconupon and iconmask. This would mean that icons we don't or haven't themed would still have a resemblance to the rest of the icons making the launcher/theme much more uniform.
I am testing this launcher on my no name $60 tablet this was bought as a worst case scenario device and it is working very well, I think I might keep it on here. Below are the specs of the device if it helps.

Hey guys,
I want to show you my first app "Exquisite Drawer" which I have just released to Play Store.
You can get it right here:
Lite Version: Exquisite Drawer Lite
Pro Version: Exquisite Drawer Pro
You want to know which changes made it recently to the app?
Here you go. Changelog in Post #2
This app I wanna share with you is a replacement for your standard App Drawer.
Now you might think:
"What the heck? Nobody needs this since every phone has already an App Drawer"
Click to collapse
And you are right. But then. Go into your apps and look......
Does it look good? Really?
I don't think so. And this is the reason why I created Exquisite Drawer.
What is different with this app? Why would you want to download?
That's a good question. To answer this let me show you some screenshots:
From these Images you can get a lot of information what the app is able to do but I will list the main features here:
- Change Colors of Text and Background individually (so there is no dependency on other elements)
- Enable or Disable sertain UI Elements for your liking (such as Actionbar or Titlestrip)
- Change Textsizes
- Use system or inbuilt font
Also you have the ability to display two different images within Exquisite Drawer.
One on top of the Applist and the other below.
So every time you want to launch an app you will see your favourite image.
The best thing about this is that those images do not affect your workflow since they scroll out of view.
Another exciting Feature is the inbuilt Theme-Switcher. For now there are 6 different designs which can be applied by only one click. At the end of this Post you will see them all.
What else to mention?
The lite version is a stripped down version of the app.
But you get a bunch of features over there too:
- Theme Chooser
- Change background color of Titlestrip
- Change fontsize of Titlestrip
- Hide Applicationicons
- Hide Actionbar
- Enable/disable Headerimage and/or Footerimage
- Choose a custom picture
- Choose side of Navigationdrawer
What are the pro only features?
- Use a custom Font from your sd-card
- Change background and font color of Actionbar, Applist, Navigationdrawer
- Change Textsize of Applist and Navigationdrawer
- Disable various Itemdividers
When I say you can change the color you propably thing about a list of predefined Colors which you can choose from.
But this is not the truth.
Infact you can choose any color you can imagine.
This screenshot shows the Colorpicker:
The same for Fontsizechanger which can be choosen incrementally.
So this was a quite long post. And when you reach this point I wanna thank you. Now there are only some Images to come. At first you will see the whole bunch of settings which are available and after that you will see all of the available Designs.
I hope you like it.

I will try to answer it as fast as possible.

Thank you very much
ok having to write this all again cause it failed previously and message disappeared
anyways i wasn't really expecting anything special when i came here but was curious to see what it was about. so i decided to take it for a quick test drive and i must say im pretty impressed. even considering that it was just a lite version an all lol
the theme options are pretty cool even on their own. (pro allows more color/customizing of course). i was digging the simplistic black n white look too! also like the long hold app option that allows you to go pro, launch app, show app in play store and uninstall app. nice job there!! although i was slightly curious why purple rain & black n white theme didn't have these options?
overall was working smooth, don't remember coming across any bugs which is very good!! couldn't test battery life cause only used for a short period but im pretty sure it wouldn't have affected it much!
well want to say, keep doing what your doing dev! thumbs up from me!! :good:

Great app, keep up on the designs.
Really promising I like to keep my device nice and minimal looking and this does the trick nicely. Cant use it as my default just yet as I rely on custom groups and categories to organise my millions of apps. But it looks like thats on your to do list so keep up the good work. I'll be sure to keep checking back!

What a fantastic app! Have to admit I wasn't sure what to expect, but I have to say it is awesome and I've already purchased the pro version. Well worth $1.30. I would've paid twice that. Very functional and visually impressive. Can't wait to see where the development goes in the future. Great, great job!

This is definitively on my To Do list. But I actually don't know when it will be available. The next thing I am working on is to improve the overall performance and loading process. When this is ready for primetime I will implement new features such as:
- custom Categories
- hiding Apps (with a special feature )
- Exporting and Importing Designs
- Iconpack support
and many other things.
Thank you for your suggestion.
Also to everybody:
If you feel that anything is missing just write me. Also when you think that some strings should be improved just say something and I will look into it.
Really great. Thanks

Is there any way to make this the default drawer from the home screen when you push the app drawer button? Would quite like to give it a try with the Google Now launcher.

Hi all and welcome to a new era, nowadays with Google's fantastic platform updates, an increasing amount of applications and launcher are being released. All offering different and unique features. But this launcher however stands out amongst most of them. Why do I say this? Give this launcher a try and you will most likely get your answer straight away. This launcher has a cutting edge interface, all inspired by the formerly known application "Google Search/Google Now" of course we have to credit Google for this experience and they deserve the applaud, because the app is simply amazing.

You can skip this part if you wish, unless you want to know how this launcher came about. So one night (about a month ago). I was tired and went to my room to sleep, all snug and warmed up in bed, this is usually the time when random ideas and concepts flow through my mind. One of these concepts was to design a Launcher that looked like Google's design scheme. I thought this would be a great way to learn about Android development and make my idea into reality. So I quickly noted this idea down, a week passed by and I stumbled upon the note and I wondered a bit. And after a deep thought about this, I hopped on my computer and whipped up some magic in 2 weeks. It's now been three weeks (This will differ in future, since I doubt I'll be updating this story). And I felt like releasing this new Launcher because I want opinions from you guys on how I can make this Launcher work and function. So I present to all, Active Launcher!

Thanks for using Active Launcher, this launcher will not be released to the Play Store for now, as there is still quite a bit to work on.
Also Active Launcher will be available on older Android devices in future releases.

Looking good so far,
but as you said some apps doesn't open, for example evolve sms for messaging.
And i have some strange really big icons in the app drawer.
Would you mind to open a google+ page for this launcher?

Thanks, and yeah some apps will not open, because the default messaging apps are set.
In future releases I will add a feature where the user can select which app to run.
And as for the app drawer, yeah some icons are random and big.
This is slightly difficult as I'm going to completely ditch that app drawer and implement a different one.
Here, I just created the Google+ page.

Thank you so much for your hard work and the early release :good: Your launcher attracted my interest and I will keep testing it.
At last something new and up to date with Google's great UI design. It's time to say goodbye to still great, but bit old Nova and Apex.
Hope to see this project evolve in to something mature and useful as these two.
Looks interesting! I'll definitely keep an eye on this!
I'll wait out until those app drawer bugs are fixed until I try this out myself
Looks good. for a long time i have been searching for some new kind of launcher and your project is promising
Thanks guys for the support, I will surely continue this project.
Hit me up with some features that you'd like to have in this Launcher.

Hey man, this project is very exciting. I really like the concept and appearance. Great implementation of translucent statusbar. So here's my feedback:
Like the idea of system apps in app drawer. Maybe, instead of removing it completely, make it optional
Always listening feature possible? I definitely tried "Ok, Google" to my own humorous disappointment, lol.
Make app drawer button and blue part under it auto hide and have ability to pull it up just like notification tray is pulled down.
Maybe instead of just cards for each app, there could be multiple "card screens" or homescreens that each house cards with information relevant to particular apps. For example, the Contacts app could have its own cardscreen with contact cards with options to call or text that person at the bottom of their card.
With that said, the following are more far-fetched ideas:
Make app cards launch app with just a swipe. If u could swipe immediately into certain apps, that'd be epic, dude.
Notifications, such as text messages, could come up directly in the launcher as cards ready to act upon.
Yea, so don't have as many far-fetched ideas as I thought.
Anyway, really like where this is going. Hope you continue to imaginate!!
@Justinchi thank you for your feedback! Many of your ideas had already been mentioned on the Google+ page and for the other ideas you have, they're really good. And as for the swipe feature, its possible
I will be debasing the application on a different layout as working with this single layout will mean, too much work.

Hello everybody!

I am writing here, because I am tired... I am looking for a suitable launcher for me for a few months...
I have tried almost all launchers from google play and a lot from xda that are not on google play...
I should mention that my phone is now: Samsung Galaxy S i9000 and I am running currently Dirty Unicorns rom (4.4)
So... I am looking for launcher that is at the same time: stable, fast, light-weight, doesn't consume a lot of ram and is customisable...
WHAT I USED TILL NOW:
1. launcher 3 - It is great, very fast, stable etc. but it can't be customized for example: I can't hide apps in app drawer (it is a must have option for me)
2. Launcher google now - Fantastic launcher, but not light-weight and the only way to customize it is to install a special xposed module... Also I had a few problems with this google's product - for example: when launcher 3 was installed, google launcher wasn't working properly and was always asking me to change him to default (but he was )
3. APUS launcher - this one would be the best... But it has a lot of unnecessary add-ons which slows my phone down... Also I am not using defalut LCD density, but smaller one (200dpi) and with this density this launcher had a lot of problems -- cutting text, icons looked wired and were 'raged' I would say... That's why I had to resign of using it
4. Nova Launcher - good one, but not for me, I experienced bugs with widgets and it also made my phone slower (a lot of people can argue with this, but that's what I felt after using it)
5. Smart Launcher 2 - Just terrible, nothing more to say
6. Vire Launcher - A lot of customizations and the 3D transitions are great, but too heavy - slows my phone a lot
7. Inspire launcher - Problems with LCD density and almost all customizations are paid
8. Solo launcher - This one I am using now, is very stable, has a lot of customizations, the drain of battery and ram is not that big, but I have expereienced a few bugs - i.e. with transtitions in app drawer or with wallpaper, that's why I need to change it...
9. Go launcher EX - just NO
10. KK Launcher/S Launcher/Galaxy Launcher - Great, but makes my phone a lot slower
11. Swift Open - This launcher is one of the greatest, and has a lot of benefits, I love it, but the only thing is that it still is in beta stage and has some bugs and till the developers make it bug free I need sth else...
I am also saying no to those launchers:
-dodol Launcher
-Buzz Launcher
-ZERO Launcher
-EverythinMe Launcher
Well I checked more launchers, but there is no need to write more...
My question is, does anyone know a launcher suitable for me?
If yes then write here about it!
PS. I would make my own launcher, but I am beginner in programming, for now learning basics of c++, so pls don't say "Make your own launcher"

Here is another one that I'm currently checking ... but not started yet to play with:
lightning_launcher_extreme > check on the playstore "net.pierrox.lightning_launcher_extreme"
You will find a bunch of tutorials on youtube as well for an idea.
It looks like very customizable and light-weight.
My 2 cents, then. Hope it helps.

Hi, thanks for the answer I have already tried this one and it's not good enough and I don't need customizations like rotation of icons or making strange looking groups , also it is paid now (sometime ago it wasn't) ...
Besides Trebuchet, the new SlimLauncher that comes with SlimKat builds would probably be perfect for RAM usage. It looks like your i9100 hasn't had builds for a while and wouldn't have the latest one, aside from the fact that you're running DU.

I just tried it and it has all feautures I need and seems not to slow down my phone - but It is to big (resolution of icons and layout)
So thread is still open
You're welcome. Look under General > Icon Size...
It's there.
Keep in mind that SlimLauncher is still being worked on.
Slow down? Just look and feel or you have measurements?
I started using my first launcher Nova few days ago initially hesitant but feel phone is faster.
We cannot add pages in moto g default launcher it max to 5 pages fixed.
Still feel 4+ mb app size for a launcher is memory overhead.
