Read this guide. Two maybe even three times, after that if you have any questions come back and read them. Also in my signature you will find a link to the wiki There is a lot of info there too.

I have tried to flash a custom rom to my ICS stock DS, the boot loader is unlocked and the install went fine. Using CWM recovery.
However, it get stuck on the HTC boot logo...
Any ideas?
i thought about going back to stock rom, but no can do as I cant boot it!
UPDATE
It actually suddenly let me re-install stock while the boot was frozen....fingers crossed

I'd advise you to read my post in this thread a while ago.
Once boot.img was mentioned I was able to get it all working with a custom rom! I just didn't know what to look/search for!
First time flashing a custom, so I do appologise.
Many thanks
Hi everyone! I was trying to flash xbsall's large partitions, but, as Drastic00 said, wkpark's alternate boot doesn't allow me to connect the phone correctly to my pc. How can I uninstall it? (I already have a custum mod for wkpark's boot) Which one is the best guide to follow?
Thanks

I didn't :/ My question, the way I posted it, was the wrong one. What I meant was "thread closed".
Flash the original boot loader files via Fasboot or reflash your bin/kdz.
