a ruu brings the device into 100% stock as you bought it
in order to run the ruu you have first to relock your bootloader
that's why you have that error
but do you have a specific reason to use a ruu.exe?
if not then go to mike's thread in development section and download the rom
there is the stock or ARHD rom which is the closest to the stock
the rom it can be flashed from the recovery
and before flashing enable smartflash

the bootloader is unlocked already.
which zip file should i flash from recovery?

relocked bootloader and tried to flash this
RUU-Pyramid-LE-ICS-35-hTC-Asia-WWE-3.33.707.106-Radio-11.76A.3504.00U-11.24A.3504.31-M-release-268334-signed.exe
cuz i don,t know what the zip file should i use and get error with CID

problem solved!
thank you all.
First of all i re-unlocked the bootloader from HTCDEV.
then enable the smartflash from 4ext recovery menu.
then downloaded this file: Android_Revolution_HD-Sensation_7.2.zip and put it on sdcard.
then install it from sdcard.
then i flashed the boot after flashing.
now it works.

hi,
first what recovery are you using for flashing roms?
because you are on S-ON i suggest you to use 4ext recovery
before flashing a rom:
1)format all partitions except sdcard from 4ext
2)enable smartflash from it
3)flash the rom
see how it goes
about bootloader use ruu with the same or higher firmware as yours
because you are on S-ON you can't downgrade hboot version(which means downgrade firmware too)

not from recovery
that rom.zip extracted from ruu it can be flashed only from bootloader
see the instructions on how to from the ruu thread
by the way this ruu contains 1.45 fw version which is lower than yours(which means lower hboot version)
that's why you have that error
as an alternative solution you can flash from recovery the stock rom

[Q] Need HELP!

My device HTC Sensation
HBoot: 1.27.0000
Firmware: 3.33.401.53
Rooted
S-ON
The problem is I tried to flash a custom ROM (Viper, MIUI etc) but all of them get stuck on the HTC Logo screen.
Currently I have no ROM installed, tried the RUU but always failed to find the correct version. Going S-OFF will help I guess but I can't get that done without a ROM installed.
What to do?
Ur s-on so u will need to flash the boot.img before/after u flash a rom.
Boot recovery
Full wipe
Flash rom
Boot straight into fastboot
Flash boot.img
Reboot
Click the sensation help thread in my sig, guides there.

Also, make sure you have smartflash enabled in 4EXT recovery.
Note: 4EXT recovery is required for s-on users. Also, don't forget to wipe all partitions before changing ROMs.

After flashing proper boot.img either manually or via 4ext recovery, if your phone still gets stuck on splash screen/bootanimation, WAIT ATLEST 10 mins. First boot always takes longer.
Happy to help.

Can't install any custom Roms....

.....because I've got Hboot 1.27
Tried, but just stuck in boot loop etc.
I've unlocked etc....but nothing works for s-off...the tool says device not supported etc.
Can someone help me out with sensation z710e?
need s-off, but cant do it.....been trying for hours.
thanks

You CAN flash roms with hboot 1.27 and S-ON.
The most likely reason for a bootloop is incorrect boot.img
Either flash roms using 4ext SmartFlash
Or manually flash boot.img via
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img

IF you have 4ext recovery (enable smartflash), perform a full wipe (after backup) and flash.
ELSE, extract boot.img from your rom, boot into fastboot and use
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
