Install CurrentWidget app.

Well that's really the question, what's the best battery usage consumption application. I don't want to see battery % remaining but -mA used, especially while the device sleeps.
My two choices are Battery monitor widget or current widget but I'm happy to consider another product. I've read concerns in the forum that battery monitor widget reports numbers too low.
I use LBC Rom and the latest radio. But, I'd prefer it if this thread didn't turn into a custom rom battery usage comparison thread.
While sleeping Battery monitor widget reports -5mA to -7mA on my device and near identical figures on my wife's stock (v 1.30) with old radio. Where as with current widget I see -10mA to -12mA?
Has anyone tried adjusting the battery monitor widget-> monitoring-> mA retrieval method Setting? If so what setting do you use/recommend?
EDIT: Normally use Auto but tried HTC devices and all that was reported was a stream of 0mA
Also there is an option in current widget-> log options-> force log in sleep mode do people use this? I do. Does either application have any other must have options that I may be missing?
Many thanks for your input....

you are supposed to get around 5ma but many people using the desire S didn't get anything below 10ma ,so maybe this problem got fixed in the newer devices?
@ben battery monitor widget shows the battery left in mv
& i am unable to get anything below 10ma on any ROM and radio i use
ill give current widget a try
I've tried both, my Battery Monitor Widget never goes below 14mA when idle, and Current Widget never goes below 28mA. It seems Current Widget shows twice the amount of BMW.

I'm talking about just sleeping, absolutely no activity, mobile data turned off and auto sync switched off, it is possible to get the same low numbers with wifi on but theres a known battery drainage issue with the wifi.

Yes that's what I meant. During sleep, the lowest value I saw on BMW was 14 and the lowest I seen on Current Widget is 28, i.e. double.

Oh right.
my WiFi has been off always
current widget doesn't seem to be working properly ,im getting very high readings (more than double both while screen off & on)but my battery life seems to be normal
i think you should use battery monitor widget

My Evo seems to log just fine while sleep without it. I tried enabling this and notice no difference. I guess it's to be used if your device has trouble logging while sleep.

To test any battery capacity I'm using RC model charger like this: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=6792
I can set cycle of charging and discharging any current I want to measure real battery capacity.
I can connect this charger to my PC and log any data I want.

So I'm using 3C Battery monitor widget, and I've been watching my discharge rate and I'm at about 160-200mA. My GSII runs at about 40mA. Anyone else know why it's so high or is this what everyone elese is seeing. I'm running Crack Injected 5.0, CWM 4.0.0.9.
Thx
Say what?

Ok So I kind of figured it out because after 8hr i was only down about 25% on battery. It is problem with the Actual widget, in the program theres a option for mA correction, after checking, then it shows it running at a 10mA discharge.
Thx
I use current widget and elixir and I see the same thing
My brothers phone gets like 10 or less on standby though. Using the cm7 rom. I don't get it

Probably normal. I wouldn't worry too much

Thx I noticed It reaches to 4.1 v .... hoped if can compare to other devices Readings
I've the stock battery with CM10.2 installed with its kernel. My question is, is it normal to have the device fully charged in approximately 11 hours??

Absolutely not. There were times when I got a charge rate of about 1% per minute. On the statistics of the battery monitor widget it shows me 4h 44m, which is longer than I had in the past.
It also depends on what runs when you are connected to the battery. Having the screen on significantly reduces your charging rate, and also services running in the background. You can try "wake lock detector" to see what runs in the background.

I get the same
But I make the device offline and charge it over the night while I'm asleep.

As I said, try "wake lock detector". It will show you what's running in the background. Also, batteries get old and require more time to charge. Your charger could also play a role in this, too.

Anker 1900mAh battery is very popular and reliable.
Browse around eBay/Amazon. It's difficult to provide link because some selles won't ship to certain areas.
