Review: Vividshield HD Anti glare SP. - Nexus 4 Accessories

Hey guys, here I am with another little review for you, this time with the best matte anti glare screen protector:
Here is the link on ebay : http://www.ebay.com/itm/181046990825?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
Well, let's get started shall we.
Let me say that I first picked up the ultra crystal spigen screen protector for my N4 and I loved it, beautiful protector, absolutelely fantastic clarity and touch feeling but after a while I started to get really bored with the fingerprints all over my screen and with it's poor visibility outdoors. So I decided to give vividshield a try. This was the first time I bought an item from them.
Shortly, the packaging is absolutely fantastic, I didn't get pictures of it but it even comes with stickers apart from the usual stuff.

PROS:
- Absolutely fantastic feeling to the touch, guys believe me, I tried wich I think it's the best clear protector, but this is in a whole different level, it's incredibly soft to the touch, your finger really slide across it. I've tried other cheap matte protector for other devices and the experience was totally different, I'm really glad with the material they used with this SP.
- Fantastic against fingerprints and cosmetic or whatsoever, it's just fantastic.
- Superb viewing experience outdoors, as you see in the pictures is a pleasure to look at when you are outdoors, even in direct sunlight is perfectly viewable, this is the features I'm most happy with.
- Completely washable, I didn't believe at first but I tried after installing it incorrectly and it is perfectly fine after being washed, I tell you with my first try I had to wash it at least 5 times becouse dust was trapped under the SP, hence and absolutely superb installation process.
- For the price, you get 3 screen protector wich I think it's an amazing value.
- Great view experience, I say great becouse being a matte protector it has to lower the quality of the screen, but the screen doesn't look pixelated at all, I think they've done a pretty good job becouse I think my screen is still pretty sharp. The colours are also absolutely fine. REally I can't complain about that, I'm more than happy. ( hope you can see it clearly on the pictures ). Today is a little bit cloudly, I'd say partly cloudly but still bright outside to test it, when it's sunny it's basically the same viewing experience.
- The look of the phone with it applied is even more sexy. I think you'll agree.
CONS:
- There's no cut out for the light sensor, but guys let me tell you it doesn't interfere at all with it, I'm currently using lux to controll the automatic brightness and it works absolutely fine.
- The screen protector I think is a little bit to wide, so in order to don't cover the curved glass on the borders I had to use scissors to narrow it ( wich is really easy ).
- When showing whites, you can definitely tell a grainy effect but it's fine nothing terrible. thanks to filthykid to remind me of it. I show it in the picture, I think the camera doesn't show it completely but believe me it's there.
Disclaimer: I know I messed up with the installation on the right side but I can be solved by narrowing it with a sizor as I say, I left it like that becouse I messed up with the first one as well xD and I've got just one left, but I bought another package so when it arrives I'll fix it.
If you found this review useful, don't hesitate to smash that thank button .

Looks great.. but dude tell me this, does it have the grainy feel to it when having light background? Or is it as clear as a crystal clear protector?

You meant when having a white background in the device? yea it's there I completely forgot to put one picture showing it, I'll update it. It's nothing terrible and cmon when you are looking just a white background

Excellent review mate. Thank'd
I have a similar anti-glare screen protector (but not the cheapo eBay ones) and I share your thoughts. My only gripe however is that it distorts the screen significantly in light backgrounds. It looks very grainy and pixelated. This very annoying since a great amount of the Android UI is white.
This con alone outweighs all the pros for me and I am considering going for a clear protector.

Yes it's certainly there, but I think this SP does it fairly well I don't think it's terrible to look at. For me it's way more important the outdoor viewing experience and the soft touch experience with no residual marks. Really I can't stand today's screen on direct sunlight you can't see a sh*t.

Most of us love messaging and the stock messaging app is unfortunately, white. Although I have downloaded GO Pro but I love the stock app more.

THIS.
I wish anti-glares are as clear as the Ultra Clear ones :crying:

You can't have everything mate, you choose either a perfect clarity and poor outdoor viewing experience or good viewing experience with amazing performance all around.
I'd say that only in the stock message app the effect is annoying but in other apps with white backgrounds and lots of colours like the play store etc, is absolutely fine.
You can always use another app or get inverted gapps

Agreed.
So I came to the conclusion that anti-glare protectors can never have that non-grainy feel

Everyone complains about spigen and fingerprints. Does it pick up more fingerprints than stock glass?

Hello tyraelasd,
thank you for the great review, we appreciate the time taken.
We are not sure when you made your purchase but our new batch has cut outs, please send us a message via ebay, and a copy of the message directly to us as a PM on XDA (need to verify that it is in fact you that has contacted us on ebay), we will send you a new set.
We will also take the width of the protector into consideration when producing the next batch. We always appreciate feedback and suggestions so we invite you and anyone else to contact us, in accordance with XDA rules.
Thank you
inno-in

I have been using vivid shield and definitely plus one on that..and I must say the final make of the poetic bumper is pulling up well now if anyone is interested in protecting the phone.

no thread for anti-glare screen protectors?

I am about to pick up a sensation.
I had a Vibrant for a year and a half and the phone even with Gorilla glass had some surface scratches.
I am looking for the following
1)I want to not deal with finger/cheek prints
2)Glare I do not care about, but it seems like most screen protectors that are anti oil are also the dithery looking anti glare ones.
Tell me what you use, and how os it on oil?
I just ordered some cheap ones from eBay. I don't know why people buy the clear protectors and deal with finger prints. Anti-glare, anti-fingerprint is the way to go.
I also ordered mine on ebay. I hate Finger Prints!!!
The reason why people buy clear protectors is because the anti glare and the clear both have a pro and con....the clear ones give u the full resolution of the screen but leaves finger prints...anti glare gives u no fingerprints but pixelizes the screen a bit

I've tried anti-glare ones from a few different sellers and the best I have found were from zydistro unfortunately they only carry mirror ones currently
They only cover the usable part of the screen but are very easy to apply and are very finger print/cheek resistant I have had mine on for over a month. Another positive thing is that the anti-glare doesn't rub off and turn into a regular screen protector like some other cheap ebay store's products have done for me.
I've gotten mine from Bestskinsever.com. The protector on my Sensation still looks great, and it's been on since I got the phone when it first came out last summer.
I first used it on my original mytouch 3g, and it lasted for about 2 years...

I bought mine for 7€ (6 pieces). These are the best protectors I've ever used. The screen reflections are almost gone. The good point is that you don't see your own fingerprints. And it has the best behavior when you read text as it is almost the same clear view on the screen. Other antiglare screen protectors turned white into grey or made small, rainbow-colored dots.
Don't know if you can get them in the US, cause I bought mine in Germany.

Skinomi are the best screen protectors by far, a bit difficult to put on if you've never done it before, but just go to a local car parts shop and get a 3M squeegee (rubber one that looks like a credit card size) and install it yourself. I did it last night on my sensation going from a zagg protector, this one is much more smoother when moving my finger over it, i love it.

They do not have any anti-glare ones on their site.
So THAT'S what they're called! I've always seen this type of screen protector, but I've never known how they were different. They were always also easier to use, as my finger would slide better, as opposed to the shiny screen protector I have now. Thanks so much! I just ordered some off eBay, hopefully they work well!
The screen protectors came in today.
Packaging: The 5 screen protectors came in an envelope with a stamp saying "pictures do not bend". Overall the packaging is not awesome but adequate. Each screen protector came in a plastic wrap and included with a cheap dry towelette thing to wipe the screen.
Installation: Overall the application went fine but I got 2 small air bubbles around the edges of the screen that I cannot get rid off due to the curved glass. I tried to warm up the screen protector with a hair dryer but it didn't help. I don't really mind because the bubbles do not affect the view-able part of the screen.
Quality: this is one of the better screen protectors(anti-glare) ones that I have tried. There is some dithering look but not too much, it seems to do well with fingerprints and glare, much better then without it.
Overall I would highly recommend these, but because they're coming from HK shipping times are long.

Lexerd anti glare
http://www.amazon.com/Lexerd-Sensation-TrueVue-Anti-glare-Protector/dp/B004YKYB84
After messing around with a couple of subpar screen protectors, I got these off of amazon. The price may be a turn off for many, but to me they were worth it. Fits the curve glass just fine. Application was super easy, even comes with finger gloves to protect from finger prints. I would say the fit is 99% perfect.
Thanks for the pics Calcvictim the protector looks really good, especially for the price.
It also doesn't seem too foggy, like many anti-glare protectors.
Hiepxhop, could I also trouble you for some pics of the Lexerd protector? Many good reviews on Amazon, and I've heard good things about that brand before...
thanks!

I also use the Lexerd screen protector, and it has worked out pretty well. Part of the top lifted up and lint got into it, but that shouldn't be an issue if you use a case. (I didn't at first)
Yes, there is the pixelated rainbow effect in the whites, but I find the feel of it completely worth it. If I could find a link for that German one I wouldn't mind trying it out.

Antiglare vs Standard vs Mirror screen protectors

(original post below)
Please share your experience with "antiglare" screen protectors if you have or had used one and help me make my mind?
I have a cheap standard/glossy $1 screen protector for now, but since our phones have screens basically unreadable in the sun I think the kind of s.p. matters more than in other phones case
I had one of the first "mirror" screen protectors few years back, and it was horrible. It made the screen appear slightly distorted. Has this been improved by now?
I used the antiglare type of screen protectors on my evo and evo shift and i loved them and refuse to use any other kind, but they have their drawbacks. Number 1 is it washes the screen out just slightly so its not as crisp and colors are a bit more dull. 2 it feels werid and its hard to explain how they feel its like your finger slides really easy because its a really slick surface, but the surface also feels rough. Like i said i loved them and i might see about getting one for my doubleshot.
*edit*
Also just remembered that the anti glare screen protectors aren't as prone to fingerprints on the screen which is a major gain

I've had the mirror screen protectors and there horrible in the sunlight, I prefer the regular ones its much easier to see the screen it dark/bright light.

I already have hard time seeing my screen outdoors and can't see it at all in the sunlight, so I guess antiglare s.p. isn't for me... Too bad I already ordered it on ebay If you still want it I can send it to you once it arrives here (should be next week - and sending from Canada to US outta be way faster than ordering it from China to USA) just PM me

Well when I said it washes the screen out some its because its blocking glare, I'm telling you hands down they are the best ones I have ever seen, if you get it in and its not for you ill take it off your hands, but once you actually see it I think you will love it

I'm sure you can't, who cares if the colors wash out a bit, when you can use the phone in direct sunlight, and its less prone to finger smudges lol

Ditto to just about everything you said. I personally use the antiglare just for the sole purpose of not having to constantly wipe fingerprints with my shirttail.
It for sure a strange texture to the touch at 1st but actually is smoother and more precise than the glossy kind.
Yes, it does dim the display and make it a bit less vibrant, but I turn up the brightness a tad and it is fine.
All in all, I personally prefer the antiglare just for the fingerprint resistance. Enjoy yours when you get 'em!
Well, the antiglare screen protector arrived today already, and I am actually pissed and I love it too
I haven't test it yet in the sun because I just got home, but I love the texture of it, the matte look, and I can tell it really is anti-glare since it has dispersed even my camera's flash light when I took the photo below
I am pissed because before I order it I emailed the seller to make sure they do have MyTouch 4G Slide screen protectors, yet they have sent me some other one (I'm guessing it might be for MT4G and not the "Slide" version, but I'm not sure). It is too short and has different cam/sensors cut-outs at the top.
I foolishy trusted it is the correct one when it arrived and I had already ripped-off my "clear" one, so I had to install it for now. Which makes me double-pissed
To make things worse my order is labeled "SPAG-HTC-MYT4G-SL" - IMO it means "ScreenProtectorAntiGlare-HTC-MYTouch4G-SLide" - yet it is wrong one they've shipped, gee

Tried to get a good look at my wife's MT4G (non-slide) and it is hard to tell with some ugly decal thing she has on it, BUT I will say, if you lined it up at the bottom correctly, it looks way too short. It probably is for the MT4G. I am pretty sure, because when I use her protectors as an emergency, I have to trim them all the way around to fit my MT4GS. Apparently the slide is a bit smaller than the non.
How many came in your order? I have to order like 12 at a time because I always screw up about 4 of them before I get one on with no dust dots under it

I order only set of 2 (just to try - never had anti-glares before), but I think this seller has packs of 10 as well (same price tho).
If you want I can take more pics to show you, but yeah I have aligned it at the bottom perfectly, so that's exactly how it comes out on top.
Mind you: this *is* Slide what I have, and the screen protector is slightly narrower (about 1mm on each side) and too short by about 4mm (not to mention the "cut-outs" are wrong) so if this screen protector is for the "non-Slide" MT4G version then the "non-slide" has to be smaller than "slide", not the other way around.
Quality is very good because same as you I usually get the "bubble" somewhere and waste at least 1 protector before it is perfect, but this one seems thicker than the "glare one" and it attached itself almost perfectly right away, I only had to push it tighter at one corner. The cuts are well made, not sharp edges like it was in some other screen protectors but feels kinda polished. Actually I should say the quality is excellent, reminds me of the first Mitsubishi s.p. for laptop screen I bought years ago in Japan. If only it was the right size...
here is the website if you want wholesale quantity (I don't know does 1 dozen qualifies but you can try):

Yeah, I will look tomorrow. Its late. The house is dark and my eyes and brain may be confusing me. Maybe it is the other way around. Anyway, if you had one that fit right, you would like it, so that's a good thing

Sure thing!
in the future "anti-glare" are the only ones I'll ever buy... you and strapped365 were absolutely correct, thx!
edit:
==============================
MY CONCLUSION
(after a week+ with this screen protector)
With standard "shiny" s.p. (or without any s.p.) you can NOT see the screen outdoors in the sun.
Here is a picture of my MT4GS' screen with "antiglare" s.p. in very bright sun:
Until I have received this anti-glare s.p. I was skeptical (read the thread if you're curious) but once I have use it I love it so much that in the future I will never buy any other type of s.p.!
The screen is now not only readable in the direct sunlight, but exactly as guys above said so:
due to it's texture it is somewhat smudge-hiding
(edit: NO it is not really "smudgeless", if you look at certain angle and light you will see the finger smudges, but even then they're not as bad as on any other type of s.p.)
The only drawback are the colors: at first (when you apply this s.p.) it feels dull and washed a bit - not much, but you can see the difference. However, after very short time I get used to it and feels normal now.
Anyone looking for s.p. replacement should go with an antiglare type.
The benefits (ability to see screen under any conditions and it's "smudge-concealment") greatly outweight the cons (somewhat less-vibrant colors)

They weren't as of about 3 months ago. Suuuuuuuucked. Might as well be putting car window tinting on it.
Hmm... so does anyone have a suggestion for a nice anti-glare screen protector that will fit the phone nicely?
I just got the cheapest matte 6 pack or whatever on eBay from "Top Sellers" in N America.
MyTouch4G Slide on CM9 and Tapatalk 2
Completely agree with the conclusion. Got 3 from Amazon for about $2.49 at the time.
http://www.amazon.com/EMPIRE-Anti-G...=mytouch+4g+slide+anti-glare+screen+protector
Random brand called "Empire". Despite the one review. IT's a solid screen protector. Technically all Anti-Glare's have a "matte" kind of feel to it. The feeling and the look of the screen would probably be the most attractive part of Anti-Glares. However yes there is the sacrifice of losing slight visual quality.
Thanks, I'll give those Empire anti-glares a shot
Edit: nvm, shipping to Canada is STEEP on those guys. I'll keep a lookout for other anti-glares. Thanks for the suggestion, though

I bought a set of these 3 for 2.49 from the link above, and am VERY PLEASED. Quick shipping by seller, and they fit perfect with appropriate cutouts for sensors etc up near the top. Good deal!! :good:

[REVIEW] Cruzlite 'Experience Case'

Hello all,
I have just received a Cruzerlite 'Experience' case for review. Firstly, I'd like to thank XDA for this great website and to all the members on this forum, I've learned a lot and appreciate all the info found here on how to take full advantage of my Galaxy S4. I find it incredible the vast amount of knowledge on XDA and the willingness of others to share. Thanks to 'opasha' for announcing the need for Beta Testers. Cruzerlite contacted me via PM on July 6th and after emailing them my contact info, one of their products arrived in the mail on July 18. Please note that I am NOT being compensated financially for this review and that the opinion stated in this post is my own. As stated in 'opasha' original post, this is a product Beta Test. The final product you receive may or may not be exactly like the one in this review. I recommend contacting Cruzerlite ( http://www.cruzerlite.com/cases/samsung/galaxy-s-iv ) directly for any questions regarding specs, availability, color options, or additional information.

Came in the mail in a bubble pack. The case is enclosed in a clear plastic box, it's rigid enough so it doesn't get crushed in the bubble pack while being mailed:
The Case that I requested was for a bright color and they sent orange. Some of you may be picky like I am, the shade of the color is very important to me, here it is next to my S4 for comparison:
Since this is the 'Experience' case, it has graphics of various android themes. IMO it's fun and matches well with the bright orange. The back is frosted but the android graphics itself are clear:
Looking at the lateral edges you can see that it is also clear:
With the case on my Black Mist colored S4 it darkens the shade of orange a bit, to my eyes kinda like a light rust or light root beer color.
One thing to note from this angle is the quality of construction. On inferior/cheap ebay cases, there is a noticeable amount of excess material (flash) and at times there can be a edge or 'lip' formed at the seam of the where the front meets the back. If this occurs in a case it is quite an annoyance. On my current tpu case (a generic one I got off ebay, as I like yellow it was the only place to find that specific color) the lip is quite sharp.
On the Cruzerlite 'Experience' it did not exhibit any excessive 'flash' materials and the 'lip' was minimal. IMO, this is reflective of higher quality control and manufacturing standards that you may not find in a cheaper product.
Let's take a look at the dimensions of the Cruzerlite case. I measured my S4 as is and it came in at approximately .333 inches in thickness
With the 'Experience' case on it measured approximately .388 inches so the Cruzerlit TPU case adds a scant .05 to the overall thickness.
Next area to examine are the cutouts. Here we have the camera and flash. The cuts lined up correctly and is slightly raised around the camera. It's a dual hole design which I prefer. Other brands do a single cut for both camera and flash which IMO is less protective. Also the case adds some height to the phone so if you lay your S4 on a flat surface, it doesn't come into direct contact with the camera lens.
Areas around the ports are important to inspect, if it is cut too high or not thick enough in certain areas, it will affect the structural integrity of the case and can cause bowing making the case act or look flimsy. On my ebay case it bows around the front side where the volume and power ports so visually it looks bad. The Cruzerlite tpu IMO struck a good balance in it's construction, is not too soft (like a silicon case) but not overly hard (like a hard plastic). It's flexible enough to retain it's shape but soft enough to get it on and off easily while still being secure. Texture wise, the back is smooth to slide in and out of pants pockets with the lateral sides having enough tact for grip and not being overly slippery.
Moving down to the bottom of the phone the cut out for the charging port is slightly offset to the left. While it is not centered correctly it allowed plenty of space for the OEM micro usb cable and my aftermarket ones.
The microphone area is also off center. I was concerned with it blocking sound quality so I places several calls to see if it was affected. Fortunately it did not interfere with sound transmission nor did it affect volume.
The power button is exposed, which is a design I prefer. Other cases have it covered making it a tad more difficult to press.
On the volume button side, it's open just like the power button.
At the top of the phone the cut out for the 3.5mm headset jack and microphone are aligned. I use either a Monster iSport or Etymotic earbuds and the ports are wide enough to fit without any problems.
The ir port is also centered correctly allowing full function:
Going to the back side of the case, the speaker port is not centered but the cutout was wide enough for it to fully work.
Overall I am happy with the case. It's construction and quality is better than other tpu cases I have tried and comes in at a reasonable price (as listed on their site it's only $9.90). I've had it for 2 days now and it will be replacing the current one that I am using. Any changes on my impressions will be added to this post. I plan to use it for another 2-3 weeks and as I like it very much will purchase one from Cruzerlite ( http://www.cruzerlite.com/cases/samsung/galaxy-s-iv ), only hard part is deciding on what color!
Thanks again for the opportunity to review the case. I'd like to pay it forward and send this case out in a few weeks for review to another XDA'er. If you are genuinely interested in a orange case by Cruzerlite, reply to this post with either positive comments or constructive criticism. You must reside in the U.S. and actually own a S4 AND willing to post a unbaised review here on XDA within a week of receiving the case from me. Thanks for taking the time to read this review and hope that it helps. HAGWE everyone!
Great review! Very indepth. I am impressed with your ability tobreak down the pros and cons of the case to a scientific level

So after getting an email from cruzerlite this morning I decided to check my mail. This is a review for the cyan/light blue Experience case from Cruzerlite.
Just as the previous reviewer mentioned the cutouts seemed to not be exact or correctly aligned on initial application to the phone. With some slight pull of the tpu and correct alignment I was able to get the case to properly adjust with near perfect alignment.
As for the design, it looks very good with the phone in the case. The images on the back of the tpu are on point , transparent and unique from your average tpu cases. At first I was debating on the color thinking it might be too light or not too "manly" of a color for me. Im glad I chose this color, it's more than I expected. The color is great, it has more of an aqua color appearance in person.
The IR sensor and noise canceling mic is centered and does not affect the sound quality performance. As for the headphone cutout it is wide allowing headphones (straight or L shaped) to fit properly.
The charge port cutout is wide allowing OEM to third party cables to be used with this case.
I do have a screen protector (cheap one) on my phone. The case does Not affect my screen protector. Meaning it does not raise any edges or cause any type of push to the screen protector.
The lip of the case greatly protects the screen from getting scratched while laying the phone screen down on a table or any flat surface; while at the same time adds a completely new appearance and feel for the user.
As you can see from the image below the case is just about a hair thinner compared to the platinum series case or "seido" case.
Overall I think the case is of premium quality. It seems very durable and will protect your phone from getting scuffed on the edges from accidental drops. This case exceeded my expectations thinking it would be just like the average tpu cases I have used on my past devices. I recommend this case to anyone looking into purchasing a tpu case. For the price listed on amazon I think its worth the purchase.
Edit: The camera is horrible with flash. I constantly get a blue tint on all pictures now. Only with the case on of course. Have moved back to previous case because of this.
Thanks to Cruzerlite and XDA for the opportunity of reviewing this case.
Thanks, hope this review helps someone who is considering a Cruzerlite and purchasing this case.
Appreciate you looking, IMO it's a well made case and comes in a variety of colors and styles.
Thanks for your indepth review j510, your case looks like it fits perfectly.

Received my green case yesterday, after a day of use around the job site I am gratefully impressed with the case. I'll try to get some pictures up tomorrow I'm not usually to much for tpu cases but CruzerLite has done it with this one. The textured back makes it not slippery, I've also taken the case on and off a bunch of times trying to see if it's going to stretch out and or wear to the point it doesn't fit properly. To my amazement I still fits perfectly, I've actually like it so much I want to pick up a couple more colors. The one and only thing that I don't personally care for that much is the icon pattern on the back but the good definitely out weighs the bad, I've also had a few people say they like the green case on black S4. If you are debating the case all i can say is don't great case and doesn't add much bulk. :good:

Green Galaxy S4 case Pics
Here you go.... bare with me used my wife's Epic 4g Touch to take the pictures.
I got the white Open Experience case today. I want to thank Cruzerlite for sending this case! My first impressions: the case feels very nice in the hand [better than anything I've bought off eBay for the same price this case goes for]. The cutouts are very precise (only thing is the speaker beside the USB port is slightly off but I am sure it will get fixed but no big deal as it doesn't cover it fully). There is a plus! I'm using a Spigen glass.tR slim and the case fits perfectly without chipping it off. Protection is minimal, the same you can expect with any cases in this category, however it does add a slight lip raising the phone's screen (even with my glass screen protector). The case is quite stylish it makes the phone stand out. I received the white one and dang the thing looks good with my black S4 (good contrast). Buttons are easy to press. Overall quality!
Sorry for the picture quality, they are taken with a Blackberry Curve
Might have been just a slight defect with yours or maybe the white one, my green one is spot on. By the way that white does look nice, thanks again Cruzlite

[REVIEW] Moshi iVisor Glass

Right, first of all, I had been waiting for a UK supplier of this product for aaaaages!
Finally MobileFun started stocking it.
As everyone knows, tempered glass protectors are for the most part, a problem for the Note 4 due to the curved edges.
I had been using one that just cover the viewing area, which looked hideous IMO.
So when I first saw iVisor and it's total, no halo coverage, I knew I needed to try it out, despite the high price of £30! (yeah, I thought I was crazy too)
In terms of packaging, there's not much to report, it's... A box [emoji23]

In the box you get a cloth and suction cup to help with the installation, but I've installed so many glass protectors I didn't find it necessary to use the cup.
As you can see, this thing covers the "whole" front of the screen.
Installation of the iVisor was, in my opinion, the easiest of all the protectors I've installed.
Having the coloured edge, allows you to line everything up far easier, than a totally transparent one.
After installation and now it's been on a couple of days, I can give informed verdict on this protector.... And that verdict is, it's nothing short of amazing!
Despite the high price, in my opinion it is well worth the money, not only is it one of the thinest glass protectors I've ever come across, the clarity is phenomenal! Not to mention, the feel of thing is just like the naked glass.
I thought the ones I used in the past were good, obviously better than the PTE type, but this is a next level up.
Not forgetting THE reason I got this in the first place, which is a halo free viewing experience, which this delivers impeccably.
Yes, it is expensive, but if you're after a tempered glass protector, this has got to be the best one for the Note 4. Definitely a 10/10 from me, and if you can stomach the cost, the only one to get.
Nice thanks for sharing, is it because it has a dark border that the halo effect cannot be seen?
I'm using it as well and agree it is hands down the best one for this phone.
I disagree. Don't like the holes on the glass. Much prefer the Arcadia glass.

It's all peaches & cream until the thin adhesive sides pop loose and tons of junk end up under the screen. Also a lot of cases will cause this protector to bow up in the middle and the screen will become unresponsive as there is no adhesive under the actual display area. Been there, done that.
Anyhow, nice review and good luck with the Moshi.

I think it depends on the case, I'm using using Spigen Neo hybrid and I think it's a case of it being a mixture of luck and the way it's made, that I've managed to get it that spot on, that the case doesn't touch it, or at the very least is flush.

I think that does play a part, but I don't think it's totally because of that, because I've had others that halo way before the edge of the actual display, let alone the edge of the phone.

They're not holes, as in "holes", they're sections that don't have the coloured border to let the button LEDs shine through.
Trouble is getting hold of others, I tried getting all sorts but found it surprisingly difficult getting anyone to ship to the UK, including the suppliers themselves.

Can i clean the moshi glass?
Looks like it will be the same price as the BodyGuardz Crown (coming the end of April for Note 4). Both look like they offer great protection. Because of the aluminum bezel, the Crown will have zero lift around the edges. Is there any lift at all with the iVisor? I think that would be a deal breaker if it does.

You mean the adhesive side? Probably, but I wouldn't recommend it, why would you want to remove it unless it cracked of course, but then you'd replace it?
I have a similar one arriving today. It's a Cailifu and is sold on Amazon. I will let you guys know how it looks and holds up. Here's the link to check it out:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PXP38BA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I have been using the Cailifu glass protector for about a day now. Overall, i think it's a winner. The only negative thing I could find is, it's a smudge and fingerprint magnet. Not sure it it's the material used or some kind of coating, but I have to clean the screen far more frequently than normal. The screen coverage is perfect with no gaps or lifting around the edges. For the price (75% less than the iVisor), it's a go.
BTW, the "windows" for the capacitive buttons are square. The iVisor has round windows. The square windows give it a more stock look than the round ones. Hope this comparison helps.

Having used this for a few weeks now, would you still recommend the Moshi? I've read some comments online about their iPhone protectors having an 'oil slick' effect in the centre of the screen and a 'dot pattern' that permanently marked the screen - have you noticed anything like this? I didn't see any such problems evident in your photo.
Also be very interested to know how S-Pen usage is with this. Does the S-Pen still operate the back button OK?

Peel-like case for the Pixel XL?

Hey, folks–
I'm on the hunt for a super thin case for my Pixel XL. By super thin, I mean, like in the 0.35mm range like the Peel cases for the iPhone (or Pinlo).
I've been searching around and I think the thinnest I've found so far are the clear case by Google and Spigen's Liquid Crystal Google Pixel XL Case, which appear to be about 0.64 to 1.63 mm and 0.762 mm thick respectively (they don't provide the case thickness specifically, so these are estimates based on product dimensions minus the actual Pixel XL's dimensions divided by two).
These are still too thick for my taste though. I don't like the look of those thick jelly cases.
I ordered a Naked Wrap from SlickWraps on the 10th, but I have yet to even receive a confirmation of my order from them outside of the PayPal receipt and I haven't been happy historically with the clear skins, so I'm looking for an alternative.
Has anyone spotted or heard of a company that might be developing Peel-like cases for the Pixel?
Well said and I am with you. Waiting for either that or a calicase. I did buy the Google clear because it may be perfect.

Considering you have a similar aesthetic, it sounds like, I would be curious to hear your impressions of the Google clear case.
Thanks for mentioning the CaliCase too–another brand for me to keep my eye on, their Ultra Thin cases definitely fit the bill. Too bad they're relatively inactive on Social and don't really talk about what they have in the works.

NP, next week I get it and the black silicone factory G case too. I also ordered a BearMotion because it's $8 and frankly I never have anything but success with them. The sand finish is the best for grip and they are really very thin. Usually no lip coverage though but that's kind of where I want the case to end. Just something about being able to slide your thumb from edge to edge without touching case improves the experience dramatically IMHO.
Looks like Spigen updated the pics of the Liquid Crystal case. Picture says .4 MM thick.

Unless that image is horribly cached for me, it still says 0.4 inches thick and they're referring to the whole phone including the case, which is why I landed at 0.762 mm in my first post because the Pixel XL is listed as 0.34" thick at its thickest point, so (0.4-0.34)/2 = 0.03 inches which is 0.762 mm (even though the back is probably thicker than the front).
Still looks pretty thin for a jelly case, but I'm holding out hope for one that doesn't add even that much bulk.
Doh. For some reason my brain read .4 MM thick.

Where did you find the bearmotion case at? I can't seem to find it for the pixel or pixel xl.
Thanks
Nick

Would you guys be willing to post some pictures and your thoughts on that bear motion case. Looks promising. Wish there was a white color, but gray will probably work for the white version of the phone.

I will when I receive. A note, get a DARK color. They pick up oils quick. Got a powder blue for my OG Note 7 and wound up with a dirt covered faded case in a week. But alas, the dark ones feel awesome and are thin as ****.
The bear motion cases are awesome. Grabbed a black one and green one. Have the green on my Nexus 6p and love the contrast.
As far as thin cases go...hard to beat.

I'm happy that there's hope for us thin-lovers, but I'm still holding out for a semi-transparent one like the Peel cases so that I can see my phone through it–the frosted white / pretty-much transparent one that they call "silver" is calling my name. Part of my desire for such a thin case is to enjoy the natural industrial design of the phone but give it just a touch of protection. My Nexus 6P had begun to show a few of the drops on the corners recently and that's what I'm hoping to avoid.

I had one of those for my iPhone 6s+. They are great, would be nice if they made one for the XL
Insignia has a case that's kinda like the peel cases. I had one for the iPhone 6 plus and it was thin as hell and felt very nice. I hope they make it for the xl.
im on the same boat. I ordered another clear case for $8 bucks in the meantime until i am able to get somethign like this below:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01761J26I/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
That bearmotion looks slick though. might order that one. Too bad they dont have more pics. Goign to have to check it out for other devices.
