try it again carefully this time & read the steps
IMPORTANT STEPS :
1. Flash kernel using flashtool
2. FULL WIPE
3. flash the rom with cwm
4. reboot

I have followed the steps several times carefully and completely.
Can it possibly be due to my model?

No, i have ray too and it works
Since v2 is based on fxp 208, have you flashed stock 587 ?
If it still doesn't work, then flash fxp 208 first then install the rom without flashing the 587 stock files

Ok, first.
1. Try to be a little more clear in what you are asking.
2. DO some research on the forum.
3. There is no current stock JB ROM for the P62xx series, install CM10 from this forum to get JB but be aware that its not a finished product and read the thread about current problems first.

I'd suggest that he stay away with cm10 for now. If he doesn't know what cm10 is, great chance he doesn't know how to flash. It would just come to a brick if tries.

Xperia Ray on SuperJellyBean 1.1 Data not working

Hi,
I'm a noob to xda forums but I have been rooting my Xperia ray for a time now. I encountered a problem with it after installing Jelly Bean ROMs from FXP and SuperJellyBean.
For both ROMs, data is not working. It turns on but no data is transferred. With FXP, I used FXP kernel. With SuperJellyBean, I used Fusion 4.3 for Xperia Ray.
Any help and leads that can help me solve this problem is greatly appreciated.
you will just have to reflash it with stock ftf.
Hi,
Can you point me to the download of this? Superjellybean instruction pointed me to .587 ics stock. I flashed using flash tool for Windows after changing kernel to fusion 4.3 before flashing sjb 1.1

All Sony .ftf files for their roms for the Xperia Ray ST18(i/a) can be found here:
http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/35239
Once you have downloaded the correct ROM, I assume you know how to use flashtool. Connect the phone in flashmode (green LED) then using the flashmode toolbox flash the correct .ftf file following the instructions in the guide above.
After starting the phone and making sure the stock rom is working fine you are free to flash a new kernel and rom as you wish. I recommend you get the latest SuperJB or FXP roms to make sure they have the least bugs and work as stable as possible
Good luck!

Xperia J Jelly Bean Whats You Opinion

Xperia J Jelly Bean Discussion
Well we have jelly bean at last time for people to have there say, what they think, if there happy or dissapointed.
in my view im really dissapointed apart from the 3.4 kernel update and stock power widgets in the notification draw sony have given us nothing new at all. Google now, project butter are part of the platform and are not from sony. they have let consumers down again all this update seems like is a fixed ics rom nothing new. no updated walman, album movies, launcher or lock screen nothing. i no our devs will have no problem to fix sonys mess yet again but is not the point.
Any other opinians fellow users?
i am not dissapointed at all, phone is buttery smooth now thats all i wanted.

I am not disappointed at all. The performance is really great and better than in stock ICS but battery drain is bigger and there are only few changes like statusbar, settings.
When I updated it I was like: Um? And that's all?
Despite that I am glad that we got this update.
Btw, can we build AOSP for jlo?
I'm wondering if clean android would be better than stock

iv'e never been a fan of ASOP i always have preferred Cyanogenmod
I prefer CM / AOKP too but actually we don't have CM10 for jlo stable enough, not enough for me. I was using AOKP but since official JB came out I am on stock JB.
Do you think official JB can make CM10 fully woking on jlo?

CM is cleaner than AOSP(nexus). Plus why would you want fewer settings?

Bravia Engine was never part of Xperia J.
I don't know how some people are not happy with the new firmware.
My opinion is that after this update the Xperia J finally feels like a real android phone from 2012 year.
Finally everything is smooth and runs like it supposed to. (on a single core CPU that is - can't ask for miracles)
I am very happy with the new update.

How to install cm10 for xperia j 4.1.2 ?
Sent from my ST26i using xda app-developers app
battery drain is the first problem i face after my XJ updated to JB
and the second is the auto sleep wifi & data connection that is so uncomfortable, already set the wifi to always on during sleep
but still its off everytime the phone was sleep
and huge lag everytime i unlock my phone after a quite long sleep
i don't see any real impact of that "project butter"
and yes XJ has limited hardware but sony still could make it better

I've said it before and I'll say it again, there is no better or worse. It is all personal preference. The performance of a ROM depends on what the user installs, it is nothing to do with the ROM itself, you will have to experiment to see what works the best for you.
SlimRom build 1 is very fast and more free RAM
App: XDA
Phone: Sony Xperia J
ROM: PA 2.57 build 3

yes my XJ is CM10 on FXP241 ,and its great for RAM.. even after running temple run/angry birds. games still has 120 MB free mem.
I supercharged it with zepplinrox Supercharging scripts http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991276 ( I cried for some 30mins after opening this link .. its that clean )
Another thing I want to share is about the Brilliant work gavster and matej has done for XJ ROM scene. AVD rom is lightening snappy and gives even better results with vengeance kernel .
Vengeance kernel doesnt have CWM integrated thats only thing I missed..There are many missing feature in stock rom that cm10 has.
So choose accordingly..
I am going to test PA 3 as well in few days.

a month ago i'm noob for custom roms. however i tried you maintained roms above.
AVD rom is good rom ( thanx gavster ), however there are so many bugs in 1.6 & that need to be fixed. so i'm waiting for bug fixed AVD

Thanks for making us aware of projects outside this Forum. I tried PA3 with CM10 kernel..keep getting bootloops ..will try again flash tft first When I get back my home (win7 laptop):fingers-crossed:
I miss customisations of CM10 when I go to AVD
I was on AVD 1.5 since hoonami is strange to me. .. I am still learning android
How you guys spare so much time on dev etc.. I can barely check new things once in a while :crying::crying:
Took me whole day to understand that eye raping yet brilliant page by zepplinrox and I am still unsure I get it.
