Ok, first.
1. Try to be a little more clear in what you are asking.
2. DO some research on the forum.
3. There is no current stock JB ROM for the P62xx series, install CM10 from this forum to get JB but be aware that its not a finished product and read the thread about current problems first.

I'd suggest that he stay away with cm10 for now. If he doesn't know what cm10 is, great chance he doesn't know how to flash. It would just come to a brick if tries.

Read the jelly bean thread.
This thread will probably be locked.
Not trying to be a jerk just saying.
If we had a jelly bean rom ready to go then u would definately know it. We will get jb when we get jb and that's that. The devs are working on it. Be patient

wow... 4 people responded to this post, and only one told the op the thread would be closed, smh.
just as a quick note, every versions of android beyond 4.1 is considered jellybean. if you guys are talking about 4.2, Google considered that an update to 4.1, and kept the same name moniker.
if the op is asking for any jellybean ROM based on 4.1, any of the first 7-8 in the android dev subsection is based on this.
if 4.2, we have one 4.2 based cm10 beta, but cm10 based code for 4.2 isn't quite stable for the snapdragon s3 platform (aka CPU in our phone) yet
also, as another note, if u were asking about 4.1, this is basic information that EVERY user should know, if u didn't u honestly shouldn't be flashing... if asking about 4.2 please ignore this ^^ and just be more clear in ur op

He asked that question back in July of 2011. At that time, there was only Jelly Bean 4.1. Most of the AOSP ROM's, and two TouchWiz JB ROM's: Embryo 6.0 and the leak.

Nexus S: Cyanogenmod 7.2 or Stock

Alright the situation is i got a newish phone and plan on giving my nexus S to my parents, right now its running the nightly. I want to be sure they have something stable. So i am looking at either switching it to Cyanogenmod 7.2 or the stock rom. I have heard that they have released 4.1 stock rom for Nexus S, I have not seen it if anyone has a link please comment with it.
My parents are not tech savy but they need a better phone. So Stock or Cyanogen?
The JB Android 4.1 update is very stable. Set them up with that by following the steps given in our nexus s forums. Good luck!
Sent from my Nexus S using xda premium
I would recommend Jelly Bean 4.1.1 Stock. Should be totally sufficient + they get to have Google Now
I recommend on CM9.0 RC-2, which is stable and up to date
h ttp://get.cm/?device=crespo&type=RC
I would use a cym 9 rc2 because everything pretty much works and its really fast with the matr1x kernel. It also has great battery life with just enough customization.
Sent from my Nexus S using xda app-developers app
I would use the Stock Stock JB Update or the cm9 RC2, but not cm7.2
definitely stock JB. You can download for Widgetsoid 2.x for notification toggles and a battery % widget, and they're set! JB is really feature rich and awesome!
For 4.1 JB I was looking around for a guide for Nexus S 4.1 rooted. My version is I9020XXJK8. I gave seen a few guides but not that many links for the actual zip of JB 4.1. Also how do you update CWM?

Try this. If you have JB then just do the bottom part (superuser, clockworkmod, etc.)

Thanks for you reply, Can I assume that there is a OTA with the new features like the Camera, Gallery Spiral and Multi-Screen option.
I am rooted on 4.0.4 using CWM on GT-n8010
Appreciate a link if there is one that does not have a reboot problem as noted by some others who have used the n8000 ota.

Works good and stable. But the s-pen gesture has some bugs with chinese. I still love this rom.
That is a 8000 rom and many 8010 and 8013 are having random reboots.

Officially there is no JB rom available all there is is a leaked beta version, as far as features of 4.2 are concerned we do not know but I am sure that we should have a feature list similar to note 2 if not more by the end of this year when the JB rom is released so wait for couple of months

Best ROM threads are frowned upon since the answer is subject to the users opinion and varies according to each person's habits and needs. They're all great in their own right, and worthy of your consideration. It won't hurt to try them all and form your own opinion. You'll most likely learn a lot in the process, and that's always a good thing.
Brought to you by time and relative dimensions in space.
Yeah. As said above, you should try and find it yourself. Bugs are usually mentioned in the OP itself. So it'll be easy to know which are the bugs.
IMO, cm10.1 with kexec. That's what I'm running on since more than a month now. No major bugs. Some have black screen issue. But I'm lucky to not have that
thanks everyone for your opinions. i think i would try cm10.1 with kexec first. is this the right thread..?
