Continuous scroll "sticks" - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

This has been going on for a while, and I thought I could live with it, but it's driving me bonkers.
You know how, when you scroll a list with your s-pen (or finger or whatever), it keeps scrolling until you stop it? This allows you to scroll through really long lists quickly. Well, mine doesn't do that... most of the time. It just "sticks." It scrolls a few items, and then I have to do it again and again and again, to get through the list. It won't just fling through the whole list. Sometimes, it will. Mostly, it won't.
It's not the s-pen, as it does it with any s-pen I use. And it's inconsistent.
Anyone else?

How to scroll through lists without triggering items

>>>APOLOGIES IF THIS HAS ALREADY BEEN COVERED - but **I** can't find anything definitive on it for the HD2<<<
I used to use AEButtonPlus on my HD to scroll up and down in lists etc, so to avoid opening each item etc - does anyone know if either AEButtonPlus is compatible [not mentioned in the Wiki] or if there's a way to do this (scroll without opening each item)?
Many thanks in advance
It just takes a little practice. Make sure you don't tap the screen (tapping = a short touch in one place). To stop a scrolling list, put your finger down and keep it down. If you slightly drag the screen instead of keeping your finger in one place, this avoids accidental selection as well.
Also, many screens still have a hidden scroll bar on the right.
Don't know if AUButtonPlus works on the HD2.
AEButtonPlus works and you can map the volume, Start and OK/back buttons.
Brilliant - thanks guys

Vertical home screen scroll?

I dont know if this exists, but I've done some searching and havent found anything.
Would there be a way to make the home screen slide screens vertically instead of horizontally? In a way that it would stop at the end of the new screen, not continue scrolling, would also be good.
This is just an idea, But I think it would be pretty cool. Maybe if we could even incorporate both horizontal and vertical, so your home screens would be above / below / left / right!
Even better. What if we had tilt abilities to choose apps!!
Instead of going up down left or right, just tilt your phone to areas of a map sort of thing and have apps in different areas to find them
Still no answer, please guys

[Q] Trackpad is all over the place!

I'm ready to throw my dock into the wall. The trackpad on it has become terrible since I've updated the firmware. As I'm navigating in the browser, it's clicking whatever it likes and I somehow end up at the homescreen.
Anyone else having issues?
I thought I was having the same issue with my trackpad, but it is very sensitive. If you'll notice two things....while you're typing you might accidentally be hitting the trackpad with your palm, but the most common issue that I faced with my mouse clicking things when trying to move and scroll like you was that the trackpad was responding to my two fingers touching the trackpad as a click, which causes you to inadvertently click things when you don't want to. I always disable the two finger or long press click on laptops, so I am hoping that they will make that an option in future firmware updates also.
All of my errors were happening in the browser, while using the trackpad to navigate, click, and two finger scroll.
I did more testing and I found out that the dock works fine when plugged into a power source. It starts going crazy when it's running on battery.
I'm going to RMA it to Newegg.

Just an app idea.

I have no idea how to code but I've been thinking about this for awhile now. For people that have big screens that can't reach all the way around with one hand. Wouldn't it be easier if we could like drag a cursor around the screen? Like the screen wouldn't register taps to the interface but where the 'cursor' would be it would. Sort of like the way teamviewer on android handles the mouse and chrome remote desktop.
thats a cool idea
it could be really useful when you have your phone in one hand
but try to imagine the struggle in doing something really really fast...and you have to swipe your finger like a poker dealer
anyway, it's still a good idea as far as you can easily turn it on and off!
Like you could switch it on and off in the status bar. Maybe double tap and drag if you need to drag your finger and single tap to select things.

Odd touchscreen issues.

When scrolling through long emails or websites, sometimes the notification bar just. "pops" down for an instant, then goes back up again. Or, sometimes the entire app just vanishes and goes to the recent apps.
Also, if there are a few notifications on the lock screen, you have to swipe up quite a long way before the phone opens. If no notifications, just a short swipe, opens the phone right up.
Anyone else experience this issue?
