I have no signal since yesterday.
Formatted /data /cache /system /sd-ext and flashed CM10.1 and CM7.2 and doesn't work.
Tryed my sim on another phone and works. A working sim on my fit and I get no signal.
What should I do? Warranty? If I reflash stock rom (from sammobile) could have problem with warranty?

What phone do you have and carrier.
Samsung Galaxy Fit S5670
H3G Tre Italy
try to flash it using an official rom i think this will works well ... use odin for this ....i suggest gingerbread as rom for your device

all you need is to get back you signal phone, so it's doesn't mean off which region's rom to complet flashing ... just choose one of any country in europe, what is important is being official .

Ok it sound like when you formated sd you may have wiped everything on sd .not sure if thats the case can you answer please . Also do you still have a custom recovery?

no, I didn't format sdcard. I formated only data system cache and sd-ext
I still have custom recovery (CWM 6)
Just to make sure you not lost your IMEI , after using Custom Rom, right?????

That seems very likely, but this is as strange as the main problem. Not to be off-topic, but, WHAT IF someone looses theyr IMEI code, is it possible to re-write it? And doesnt that include editing the bootloader?

If your imei lost you can't use any sim card in some country you can use your phone without IMEI but most country use IMEI to identify the phone and number to lock and track the phone if lose or else.
yes you can rewrite with some tools here but not 100% work.
Just 35% from 100% work.

Hello guys!
I got a Samsung GT-I5800 for few months but seems I have a big problem from some days actually.
I was using it when I suddenly lost the network coverage. Reboot, factory recovery, tried other carrier usims however it did not start to work again.
It doesn't work nor with automatic and manual network choice nor with enabled and disabled packed data whereas, if I try to send a message or make a call, an error popup appears saying "Data network not available".
I have never performed a root flash or something else so it is always been original factory.
here some info:
Firmware version 2.2
Baseband versions I5800XXJP4
Kernel version 2.6.32.9 [email protected] #1
Build number FROYO.XWJPI
I'm very glad if someone can help me to solve this awful problem given that the device is unusable
Try to add APN(search in the Internet for it) to your phone(Wireless and Network>Mobile networks>APN)
I already know what it is and it is configured (for my Internet plan)...
the real problem is that it cannot take the network signal anymore...there is a blue symbol like a circle with a line instead of normal signal bars

Btw the IMEI on the phone is equal to one on the box.

Check your IMEI by *#06#. If it is all zeros then it is corrupted. If it's old one then it is fine
You can try disabling then enabling flight mode. Wiping data or dalvik cache. Good Luck!
PS: Backup your efs folder to PC using Root exlorer. It contains IMEI and must NOT be deleted. Just for safety advice!

anyway the imei was one of the first checks, it's the correct and old one.
what do you mean with wipe data and dalvik cache? isn't it the same of a factory restore? (factory restored lots of time but nothing happens)
Did you tried zerofill? You can easily find by searching this forum.
Also have you tried putting the SIM in other mobiles? Do they work?
BTW, I know that feel bro. I know the feel to live without calling/sms for few days

of course every SIMs work in other mobiles. It isn't a problem about how I feel and so on. It stopped to work and bye bye no more mobile phone just a paperweight...
I had a search about zerofill. is it useful to delete everything, right? I didn't get how flash it and re-flash the original firmware...by kies?

It doesn't matter the phone is empty due to several factory restores in order to try to solve the situation

so, zerofill to erase EVERYthing and the I have to download my original ROM to flash it?
the zerofill tar contains 3 files .rfs: cache, datafs and factoryfs. Do i have to flash these by odin? sorry guy but i don't find any tutorial about odin and zerofill
It looks you have never flashed a ROM in ODIN. In that case I would say forget zerofill and just flash a firmware you want. Because you'll need to flash a ROM after flashing zerofill too. I recommend Custom ROM as it is fast and more features, it will void your warranty though. But you can always flash stock ROM to get your warranty back.
If you want to go Stock, then you can find stock ROM at samfirmware.com. Download anyone from there. Post here when you finish downloading. I'll post the instructions.

I've flashed modem.bin from Offical JB Rom via Odin, then my tab doesn't show network carrier but it has 4 bars of signal.
I tried flashing another modems and JB, ICS offical Rom but nothing happen. My Sim is still working well with another devices. So i think my tab has problem.

I downloaded the offical 4.1.1 Rom for my region ( Viet Nam) from Sam Mobile, then I get file modem.bin from this Rom. After that, I flash modem.bin via Odin ( on Odin I choose PHONE and browse to modem.bin > reboot. I got the new baseband is DXCLL2 ( my old baseband is XXLF2) but my network status is :
- Network : unknown
- Signal strength : -75dBm
- Network Type : EDGE
- Service state : Out of service
My IMEI is good, network lock is off...so I don't know what happening . I've tried flashing another modems, put another Sims, backing to 4.0.4 stock Rom and some custom Roms but it doesn't work

Umm... Does it ask for pin at the start? If not, then go to settings, Security, sim card, pin code, and change it. Change it to same one as last one.

Try manually select your network provider: Settings - More Settings - Mobile Networks - Network Operators.
Hi! Not registered to network would appoint that your sim is not supported, or your rom is not the right one. My P5100 has a problem that my partition table is fukd up. Only shows 1.97gb But yea. Have you tried any other sim in that tablet? Try to buy a prepaid sim. If that doesn't work, then try using the modem.bin file i upload later. It could be your sim.

Thanks you but I tried many ways inculed put 3 another working sims in my tab and it still no network ( the tab's sim is working well with another devices )...I'm confused and too tired by that f**king problem

i need help with my y200 (u8655-51 Claro SV), i was moving some apps to system/app with link2sd and suddenly wifi and grps lost connection, wifi conect to the access points but no conectivity to internet and gprs dont work, i restart the phone, factory reset even flash a stock rom from other specifically u8655-51 Movistar Venezuela, but still not work both of them, i already configured APN's, now i cant reflash the backup that i did before of my original rom, CWM recovery didnt appear after reinstall root with the new rom.
I already try to reflash original backup with SDK but problem now is that screen keep in Huawei logo, dont load system and CWM still dont appear.
i dont know what else i can do.

i'm on stock but not the original one is from other region, and CWM doesnt work with this one to try other rom like zip. only way is from an update.app.

im Sure somone has amde a update.app for this then your could try looking for one looks like a internal problem then, the radios must be Burned out or Damaged.

I don't know what really happened but I had installed cm10 on it and then I see no service
I've searched on forum and was adviced to flash stock ftf but nothing
when booted the phone asks for sim pin "whats means that it reads the sim card" but after insert the right pin
the phone shows "invalid sim card" and got no service
I've did many times and still the same problem
before I get the phone my girlfriend had tried to partitioning an sdcard with minitool partition wizard
but she did it with the sd inserted on the device
maybe that was the cause the problem
please help me

Thanks for your help bro but even when I flash stock ics i can't get sim to work
If i just flash only the stock ics i get invalid sim card
And when i install cm10 over it the problem is still there
try these:
--> remove sim card and place it again correctly (works sometimes)
--> when you enter the CWM make sure you completely wipe your data includes- wipe cache, wipe /system, wipe dalvik cache, format /data /cache and then click on reboot the system now and remove the battery. go back to flashboot mode and flash the ICS firmware and i hope this might help coz this is what i did to my phone

and eventually i decided to take it to sony service

Omg how can one rom made that phone cant recognized sim? Try to flash stock rom, all versions,from oldest to newest. If doesnt work,flash stock ics,then flash latest fxp..
If doesnt work go to CWM and format system, data, cache and flash stock rom!

but even the stock ftf doesn't work, if stock could make it work, i would stay with ics
I'm on the stock ics "ST26i_11.0.A.7.5_CE.ftf" right now, i've flashed it many times but sim card still doesn't work, wipe data and... before flash ics stock, doesn't work too
I don't know what to do more, i never used the pc companion, i will try it tomorrow morning and post the result

it is because of trim area damage
you should have backup your trim area before unlocking bootloader
trim area, google it
and read about it

in this case if trim area is damaged and i had no backup.. i'll need to send the device to service.. because it need some tools that i dont have

mine had no coverage like yours
i relocked its bootloader
i sent it to the service
i said them it happened when i was installing rom
they repaired my device within a week
and they did not charged me
i am happy with my sony now

Hello, I had sent you a message to try and help as much as I could but you opened a thread so I'll help you on here.
First. Double check all twrp folders using a file Explorer. Some roms when flashed through twrp automatically back up your efs partition.
Second. If the folders are blank then we'll proceed to try other methods of fixing your imei.
I assume since you went from having a blank imei to that weird number you tried one of the methods you found through Google.
There are ways to manually reenter your imei if the methods found on Google fail. Follow the instruction in the site below (I highly suggest using the terminal emulator method) and report back here. Your imei can be found on your Sim card or the bigger card your Sim came in.

Get your phone to Samsung for repair, it'll cost but they might fix it
Anyway try to flash many stock fw like btu etc it should fix this issues & try latest modem too ok anyway my friend always after rooting device just backup efs ..

I have cleaned this thread, and I don't want to see any posts about IMEI modifying or anything illegal here.
You can try stock flashing, rebuilding an EFS partition somehow (probably impossible) or repair shop, but any talk of anything illegal and the moderators will take action on your account.

Have you tried searching for a Galaxy s6 efs repair script?
If nothing has worked you definitely need to go with a repair shop. Either a third party repair or try to warranty replace your phone through Samsung. If you go the Samsung route Odin flash 100% stock firmware then send it in to them and see what they say
