I've flashed modem.bin from Offical JB Rom via Odin, then my tab doesn't show network carrier but it has 4 bars of signal.
I tried flashing another modems and JB, ICS offical Rom but nothing happen. My Sim is still working well with another devices. So i think my tab has problem.
Does anyone have the ideal to solve my issue ??? Thanks You !!!

I downloaded the offical 4.1.1 Rom for my region ( Viet Nam) from Sam Mobile, then I get file modem.bin from this Rom. After that, I flash modem.bin via Odin ( on Odin I choose PHONE and browse to modem.bin > reboot. I got the new baseband is DXCLL2 ( my old baseband is XXLF2) but my network status is :
- Network : unknown
- Signal strength : -75dBm
- Network Type : EDGE
- Service state : Out of service
My IMEI is good, network lock is off...so I don't know what happening . I've tried flashing another modems, put another Sims, backing to 4.0.4 stock Rom and some custom Roms but it doesn't work

Umm... Does it ask for pin at the start? If not, then go to settings, Security, sim card, pin code, and change it. Change it to same one as last one.

Taken from P5100XXCLL2_P5100OLBCLL2_P5100DXCLL2_HOME.tar.md5. Unzip P5100DXCLL2_MODEM.tar.md5.zip and then flash using ODIN as PDA. Remember, as PDA!

Try manually select your network provider: Settings - More Settings - Mobile Networks - Network Operators.
Hi! Not registered to network would appoint that your sim is not supported, or your rom is not the right one. My P5100 has a problem that my partition table is fukd up. Only shows 1.97gb But yea. Have you tried any other sim in that tablet? Try to buy a prepaid sim. If that doesn't work, then try using the modem.bin file i upload later. It could be your sim.

Thanks you but I tried many ways inculed put 3 another working sims in my tab and it still no network ( the tab's sim is working well with another devices )...I'm confused and too tired by that f**king problem

I dont understand man... after it is said like 10000 times on forum and still you ignore the fact you cannot flash via samsung stock recovery... you need a custom recovery like CWM to flash a custom ROM..
anyways lets just bring you phone back...
*Download ODIN http://dl.xda-developers.com/attachd...din3-v1.85.zip
*Also download any gingerbread stock ROM (http://hotfile.com/dl/145857619/8242...Q_SER.zip.html
Pass: sampro.pl)
*Install Samsung USB drivers.
*Put your phone into download mode by pressing Volume down+Home+Power key...
*Open ODIN and select the downloaded stock ROM (PDA only)
*Now connect your phone to pc via usb cable (you should see a com port turned yellow in ODIN which means your phone is detected by ODIN).
*Click start and wait till it says it PASSED
*Reboot your phone.
*Find the proper instruction to root your phone and how to flash a custom recovery.Then install a Custom ROM of your choice(read the authors installing instructions first and proceed)

I'm trying to restore my phone because it doesn't start any more after latest update of CM 10.1 (nor normal boot nor recovery mode) so I want to try to reinstall stock rom, but your links are broken can you post the correct ones? thank you

i wanna use the phone totally. phone with no signal and no internet conection, i don´t need it.
i have superuser access, busybox, titanium backup.
i´m trying to flash my phone to check if i can solve my problem.

Let me try help.
No signal inside building and bad signal in outdoor, odd. Are you on custom ROM or stock ROM?
When you said dead, does it vibrate and shows the bootlogo (Samsung, galaxy scl GT-i9003) then black screen (this is called 'Boot Freeze'), or the phone didn't vibrate and it didn't show any signs of life (if you stuck on this position...... last option, change mother board. This is called 'Hard Bricked')?
I need to know are you on custom/stock ROM, your kernel, and your baseband version.

I ave i think is custom rom, i never change nothing in the phone.
when i try to turn on, just vibrate once, e only black screen, don´t show me boot logo...
now i cant give baseband and kernel, i don´t have access, just like i told u, only black screen, but i can put it in download mode...

Wait, you said i9003L? Oh right, its the code for SL user in America. Try DDLF2, that is the most stable ROM.
If that doesn't effect the phone..... Something is wrong inside your phone.

But signal, still the same!!! i don´t know what to do anymore...

i've a galaxy sl 9003 with a stock rom, suddenly before 2 days the phone took a restart and then i was left with no cellular signal, no imei, no baseband version, i tried switching sim's but in vain, asked the guy at the service centre and got a shocker that the motherboard needs to be replaced....need help on this
the phone is working its booting up i can use the wifi but the cellular part isn't working...

Download and Install the latest samsung usb driver in your pc. then try connecting to ODIN in download mod. it will detect your device.
Try Replacing your microSdCard and reflash your rom with a clean install.
If you cannot replace it you can try fixing it by downloading SD Card Formater for windows.
Plug you sdcard to your computer.
Open SDCard Formater.
Format the sdcard using the options that will set it to its default values.
If it doesnt help. Try with a new SDCard.
Please press "Thank" button if it helped you.

Tryed my sim on another phone and works. A working sim on my fit and I get no signal.
What should I do? Warranty? If I reflash stock rom (from sammobile) could have problem with warranty?

What phone do you have and carrier.
Samsung Galaxy Fit S5670
H3G Tre Italy
try to flash it using an official rom i think this will works well ... use odin for this ....i suggest gingerbread as rom for your device

all you need is to get back you signal phone, so it's doesn't mean off which region's rom to complet flashing ... just choose one of any country in europe, what is important is being official .

no, I didn't format sdcard. I formated only data system cache and sd-ext
I still have custom recovery (CWM 6)
Just to make sure you not lost your IMEI , after using Custom Rom, right?????

That seems very likely, but this is as strange as the main problem. Not to be off-topic, but, WHAT IF someone looses theyr IMEI code, is it possible to re-write it? And doesnt that include editing the bootloader?

If your imei lost you can't use any sim card in some country you can use your phone without IMEI but most country use IMEI to identify the phone and number to lock and track the phone if lose or else.
yes you can rewrite with some tools here but not 100% work.
Just 35% from 100% work.

I have a very strange problem I have updated my note gt-n8000 to 4.1.2 via OTA but when I returned to 4.0.4 stock rom downloaded from sammobile using odin my mobile network disconnect when the screen is off and reconnect when the device come back from sleep (screen is on) ,I try to reflash using different firmware but the problem persist the country is XSG (UAE) and problem fixed when returned to 4.1.2 or 4.1.1

What ROMs did you used and how used it in Odin? Did you need PIT file for downgrade?

I have a very strange problem I have updated my note gt-n8000 to 4.1.2 via OTA but when I returned to 4.0.4 stock rom downloaded from sammobile using odin my mobile network disconnect when the screen is off and reconnect when the device come back from sleep (screen is on) ,I try to reflash using different firmware but the problem persist the country is XSG (UAE) and problem fixed when returned to 4.1.2 or 4.1.1
any one has solution? please help me

Wifi settings can be set to disconnect when screen off.
My Note N8000 has a hardware problem and will prepare to send to tech service through Operator Tech service, still has N8000 in ICS 4.0.4. I would like to downgrade to ICS 4.0.4 from JB 4.1.2 but I am worry about flash using ODIN. I don't know if needed a special ICS pack or ayone would be OK. My worries are about possible repartition back to ICS and PIT needed at same time as separated PDA, CSC and modem files. Does ICS and JB partitions were the same or if different, were to find a specific distributed list of files for ICS installation and then apply a second update for my operator?
If not needed specific PIT/PDA/CSC and Modem files, could I apply a normal pack using ODIN? what for downgrade from JB?

I donot find any pit for gt-n8000 until now only pda file odin is safe to use but you should do clearing of cash and reset through recovery mode after flashing with odin because it may stuck to samsung logo

Thanks for your support and confidence to install it, I finally decided to flash back from JB to ICS using an INU (India N8000DDALH1) version wich include boot.img, cache.img, hidden.img, modem.img, recovery.img and system.img. After installing old ICS from India, I reset user and partition data from recovery and flash my operator ICS 4.0.4 and it woks perfectly, Now it is in ICS 4.0.4 as I need.

The first link is to the pit file itself, should open up a download screen...
You don't need the csc or modem as the stock rom or .tar file should contain this... Go to Sammobile to find the stock rom for your region (you will need to register)....

yes I see thank you but it is risky to do repartition or not because i flash my country ICS 4.0.4 without repartition and the problem of mobile disconection still persist this problem is not present in jelly bean and not present in ics before updating to jelly bean and what is repartition effect ,sorry for many question and thank you in advance
Using a pit file is risky. If the pit file you use is corrupt, not the right one for your device or has any other problems you will brick your device. Most people here will tell you that you're mad to use pit file when flashing. But hey, if you cant get ANYTHING to work, you're one step off returning it to Samsung and you have a null waranty then I say go ahead and try... You can't make it any worse....
If you don't have all the above conditions then to be honest I'd do a butt ton of research before playing around with the pit file.
Just out of interest, what was so terribly bad about Jelly Bean that you wanted to revert to ICS?
I have an N8000 with XSG and JB. I cannot fault it, and I wouldn't want to go back to ICS

My favorite browsers doesnot support flash in jelly bean and my essential using of this tablet is internet browsing so I want to downgrade in addition I donot noticed any practical difference in performance between both version thank you for replying
My reason to return back to ICS is battery drain and mobile operator tech. service visit. My Note 10.1 needs to repair a SIM card slot issue under warranty, I need to restore as operator sold it because of warranty purposes. When it return back to me I will maintain last ICS it exist in the market. It seems to be better than JB, I also have a SGS II and battery drain is terrible when using JB, I returned to ICS and it works much better.

You do not need to return it to how the operator sold it. If there is a update to the software pushed out by the manufacturer then warranty is still valid...
If the place you bought it off told you that they're blowing smoke up your arse trying to make it hard as possible for you to return under warranty.
If the sales rep insists then speak to their manager. You can't loose warranty by upgrading the software the Manufacturer is endorsing...
As for battery, I don't know what you are running but battery is fine on JB... I tend to find it takes a day or 2 for the rom to stabilise and battery might suffer for that small amount of time but once it does its awesome...

I have a KArbonn A2 phone with gingerbread.... i tried flashing the ICS firmware of KArbonn A2+ since i knew both phone have exact hardware with no change at all. After flashing ICS it was runing all good and smooth but the only problem is i couldnt get the network on it. It shows the SIM name
but always NO SERVICE .. i flashed back to original now but is there any tweaks to make network work on ICS?? It would be great if all those users like get to upgrade to ICS since it is one of the most cheapest android phone. Thanks

Your issue is that your efs partition got corrupted and this can only be fixed by the OEM legally. I would send it in for repair.

Your problem is that when you are flashing a new rom your imei number is getting deleted and hence you are not able to connect to any network. You have to take backup of your imei before flashing a new rom. You should check this link out

I tried that too . After pushing the backup MPOB_001 file to nvram it says invalid IMEI . Im being hopeless now

I flashed ICS firmware via SP flash tool then rooted it with framaroot 1.6 its was still no service and i pushed backup MPB_001 File through rootexplorer to data/nvram/md/NVRAM/NVD_IMEI/MP0B_001 and changed the file permission to rw-rw---- and rebooted the device after reboot It started showing invalid IMEI

Hello, I had sent you a message to try and help as much as I could but you opened a thread so I'll help you on here.
First. Double check all twrp folders using a file Explorer. Some roms when flashed through twrp automatically back up your efs partition.
Second. If the folders are blank then we'll proceed to try other methods of fixing your imei.
I assume since you went from having a blank imei to that weird number you tried one of the methods you found through Google.
There are ways to manually reenter your imei if the methods found on Google fail. Follow the instruction in the site below (I highly suggest using the terminal emulator method) and report back here. Your imei can be found on your Sim card or the bigger card your Sim came in.
Flash with stock 5.1.1 ROM via odin.

Get your phone to Samsung for repair, it'll cost but they might fix it
Anyway try to flash many stock fw like btu etc it should fix this issues & try latest modem too ok anyway my friend always after rooting device just backup efs ..

I have cleaned this thread, and I don't want to see any posts about IMEI modifying or anything illegal here.
You can try stock flashing, rebuilding an EFS partition somehow (probably impossible) or repair shop, but any talk of anything illegal and the moderators will take action on your account.

Have you tried searching for a Galaxy s6 efs repair script?
If nothing has worked you definitely need to go with a repair shop. Either a third party repair or try to warranty replace your phone through Samsung. If you go the Samsung route Odin flash 100% stock firmware then send it in to them and see what they say
