[Q] How can ı add custom kernel to stock rom - Samsung Galaxy Fit GT 5670

İ want add custom kernel to my stock rom How can ı do that?(sorry for bad english)

Easy, since CWM doesn't support RFS file systems just use the Stock Recovery to flash the zip of the Kernel. But, make sure the kernel supports stock or stock-based roms before flashing it as it may damage your device if your not careful

you want to stay on stock rom with a better kernel eh?
yes! i want to stay on stock with a different kernel that support a stock rom
sorry mate here no one make universal rom kernel
kernels are developed only for specific roms
and also every kernel is firmware specific, means one kernel with not work with another firmware
what custom rom do you recommend?

Stock GB with custom kernel?

Hello,
I am using hep's ics rom.
Can I flash stock GB rom and then root it, flash custom recovery and install a custom kernel like franko's kernel over stock gb rom?
Any idea how would be the performance then?
Thanks..

You don't need to do all this stuff, there are a lot of modded stock Roms (custom kernel & rooted) available in Android Development thread, just search.
Try resurrection rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574523
If you look performance then get oxygen gb that's what i use

I am looking for battery life as good as stock ROM..
What should I go with?
1. Stock GB
2. Resurrection Rom
3. Oxygen GB
??
I used CyanogenMod 7 nightlies and I think that the battery life was longer. Now I use CyanogenMod 10.

Just try ressurection rom. It's really having a great battery life with very less tweaks and of course the best camera.

[Q] How to run INT2EXT scripts on Stock Rom 2.3.3

I have been using LG P500 from last 2 years. I have tried many custom ROM but now back to stock ROM.
Can anyone tell me how to use INT2EXT on this ROM, as I already tried flashing these scripts in recovery. But unfortunately none of it worked.
I followed this thread

Does the stock rom have init.d support? If you look in system/etc is there an init.d folder?
As far as I know stock ROM doesn't come with init.d support
But you can use this app to add init.d support

You cannot run int2ext or link2SD on stock because the stock kernel doesn't support ext partition. Try using a custom kernel that supports ext partition .

Flash djnoxd kernel with new gpu libs, then flash int2ext

If I had to flash a new kernel then the purpose of being on Stock ROM will diminish.
The purpose of being on stock ROM that there is no real bug in ROM and great battery life.
Is there any other mod which I can you besides flashing kernel?
I'll just combine the above posts because they're all incomplete.
First of all, you need busybox installed.
Install it from here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsInN0ZXJpY3Nvbi5idXN5Ym94Il0.
Then, you need to add init.d support (this will enable running scripts on boot)
For this, you have to install this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...wyLDEsImNvbS5hbmRyb2d1aWRlLnBpbXAubXkucm9tIl0.
Then, you need a custom kernel like Candied kernel. And finally, you can flash INT2EXT.

If I have to deal with few bugs on my own, then its better that i'll use some custom rom again with init.d support.

Why don't you use link2sd? It's supported on stock roms, i'm using it on Stock GB 2.3.5 (Rooted obviously) and it works great, 240 apps and 62MB of free internal memory

Use Fly on mod or v6 supercharger...also why are you using 2.3.4?? Y not 2.3.6 which is much better in performance dude..use XWKTN the latest and stablest with Gloun kernel or call recording kernel by wilfred clement
I think juice defender ultimate isn't working anymore for most users. But I've experienced it for the 1st time a month ago & it "really" defended the drowning battery juice. Still using it & suggest the same for ya(for battery performance,obviously)...

First of all fly on mod works on a custom kernel only..and about stock rom i think u have unrooted phone and then again rooted it and then you tried to flash gloun kernel via stock recovery which is wrong..you need a rooted Stock rom and CWM!!! I use stock rooted rom at daily basis i use XWKTN latest german firmware with all language support..Gloun kernel most works only on deodexed stock rooted rom..
