Hey guys
So as you might know Google io is right around the corner and we all know that the next android version will be called Key lime pie.But some people say that the next Version will be 5.0 whereas others say it will be 4.3.What do you think?I think it will be 4.3 and not 5.0 because i don't think it will be a big update.
Last time it was the same.Everybody said that jelly bean will be 5.0 but it's 4.1/4.2
AW: [Poll] Android 4.3 or 5.0
It will be 4.3
Well they call it 5.0 everywhere so...that's my bet.
Probably 5.0. Google is proving that that aren't afraid to release rapid updates.

Gmail was updated to v4.3. So I'm guessing 4.3. Dunno.
[ LG NEXUS⁴ / LIQUIDSMOOTH / FRANCO / POETIC BLK BUMPER / APEX PRO / TAPATALK PRO ]
Iphone 5 V/S Android v5.0.... lol
I bet on 4.3
Most probably 5.0

Gmail was updates to 4.3 version so this almost proves that the next release will be 4.3.

I'm pretty new to LG G2x, and just wondering if it's even possible to have a ROM based on Android 3 or even 4?
Android 3.0 is only for tablets. So in other words, no. However, several 4.0 ROMs are in the G2x development section such as AOKP and Hellfire Sandwich. Just warning you that they're not as stable as 2.3 ROMs (at least for now.)

3, no. 4, yes and there's already a couple in the dev section.
Next Android 5.0 Jellybean will be for tablets. Android 6.0 Key Lime Pie will be for phones.

Nope.
Jelly bean will be what ics was supposed to do, which was to defragment the os which we know as android and let two become 1. Meaning tablet and smartphone integration, ive read on google that jellybean will support both platforms.

ICS is so beautiful. I can't wait til all sources are released and we can have a stable version! I wonder what JB is going to look and feel like?

Well, I have a G2X with ICS, and an ASUS Transformer running ICS as well, so the "integration" you speak of is happening now. I'm sure there can be refinements, but the OS version is the same; this isn't a feature waiting for the next version, unless I'm just missing what you're trying to say.

I feel like it'll be more like a Froyo -> Gingerbread type change in the looks department.
Rather than a Gingerbread -> Honeycomb type deal.

Is there a Jelly Bean Rom for the Samsung Galaxy S2 LTE i727r yet?
If so does it work well/are there any bugs?
Thanks!

Read the jelly bean thread.
This thread will probably be locked.
Not trying to be a jerk just saying.

wow... 4 people responded to this post, and only one told the op the thread would be closed, smh.
just as a quick note, every versions of android beyond 4.1 is considered jellybean. if you guys are talking about 4.2, Google considered that an update to 4.1, and kept the same name moniker.
if the op is asking for any jellybean ROM based on 4.1, any of the first 7-8 in the android dev subsection is based on this.
if 4.2, we have one 4.2 based cm10 beta, but cm10 based code for 4.2 isn't quite stable for the snapdragon s3 platform (aka CPU in our phone) yet
also, as another note, if u were asking about 4.1, this is basic information that EVERY user should know, if u didn't u honestly shouldn't be flashing... if asking about 4.2 please ignore this ^^ and just be more clear in ur op

He asked that question back in July of 2011. At that time, there was only Jelly Bean 4.1. Most of the AOSP ROM's, and two TouchWiz JB ROM's: Embryo 6.0 and the leak.

2.2 was by far my favorite update ever. I remember the day i flashed it via odin on my sgs captivate. The introduction of flash on mobile made me an android fan for life. What's yours?

I haven't experienced those days. My oldest Android ver. was 2.3 . IMO, the GB to ICS update was amazing! The new UI looked awesome, while the device was bloody smooth!
This is my first experience with Android. I´ve got a Galaxy Nexus. The phone came with Android 4 ICS. I loved the UI. Everything was fantastic with Android 4, but with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, things became better. No lag, multitasking so smooth... Android 4.1 was my favourite update, and Android 4.2 the worst, for me was an unnecessary update.

Quick question, wasn't JB 4.2.2 released for the TF300T back in March? Or am I completely off base?
The reason I ask, I just noticed that my TF300 is still on 4.2.1...even though I know I had an OTA update a while back and I had just assumed it was the 4.2.2 update.
Thanks in advance for helping me out.

Asus very rarely issue the latest version of android. They always seem to be 0.0.1 behind. I.e, 4.0.3 vs 4.0.4, 4.1.1 vs 4.1.2, 4.2.1 vs 4.2.2

Yeah and I hate them for that because 4.2.2 quick settings have long press turn on wifi Bluetooth
Accidentally tapatalked from my TF300
The 4.2.1 appeared in late April or at the beginning of May. 4.2.2 is (MAYBE) a month old. I think 4.2.2 will be skipped, we will get 4.3 (I highly doubt that 5.0 will be released this year).

The official update for the WW TF300TG came a lot later. My bet is also on 4.3, not 4.2.2, since it is a little broken and there will surely be a 4.2.3.
HI would we ever see the next android be wait it will 5.0 or 4.6 how long would samsung support us. And most importantly would we ever get the s5 touchwiz ui and maybe a few software advantages

I think it'll get the next version. s4 came out with 4.2.2 ,got two pretty small updates to 4.3 and 4.4. must at least get another version.
about touchwiz- i use nova launcher so it's less interesting, i even prefer the current interface

Yes hope only
If android 4.5 / 6 and 5.0 releases S4 will get the update :/
To touchwiz ui might be be someone that ports for s4
The next version is most likely the last version
Galaxy s2 received only 4.1.2 , though it's perfectly capable to run 4.4.2
18 months cycle I believe
