Cant boot my HTC Explorer - HTC Pico (Explorer)

I have htc explorer which is rooted and was working fine. Yesterday i removed the sd card from the phone and then tried to power it on but could not make it. I tried several times but the phone always get stuck at android sign animation. I put the sd card back and tried to power it on but nothing changed. Same problem. Before putting the sd card back, a friend of mine copied a few videos in his pc. I dont know what to do. It gets power on, after HTC logo it gets stuck at android sign animation no matter how long you keep it there. I dont know much about rooting. I have bought the phone from a stranger in the rooted condition. Plz help me.

check
it has cwm recovery or twrp??????
if yes just wipe everthing and install a new rom or stock rom
that it

The SD card has probably an ext partition and someone of your ROM data is on that. So removing card makes it unbootable.
Hit "THANKS" If you think this was helpful.

It has CWM recovery. What data loss I have to suffer for doing this. Isnt there a way so that I can get started from where I left?

Yes, I was using SD card as internal memory. But why re-inserting the sd card still cant make mobile bootable? What might have happend; whats the reason?

Make a nandroid backup first(in recovery, go to backup and restore, click backup ).. copy your SDcard and that backup to your PC.
You can extract your needed data from that afterwards (not easy ~but if you're willing to spend some time, yes it'll work )

If you wanna start from where you left off, then you have to know the problem ~adb and logcat ~tedious work ~if you know nothing about them

What to do after that? As I mentioned the phone gets stuck at the boot on htc android logo.

First take a nandroid backup, before you attempt any thing.
Next study adb and log cat(link in my signature )
Look @the log ~try to study what's the problem (if it's some file ,you can directly delete that file )
Alternatively, after nandroid, wipe everything install new Rom ~use apps like nandroid manager ,app extractor /titanium backup pro to restore your apps from the nandroid, you already took *You cannot restore apps ,that are moved to SDcard (the normal way in settings )~but you can restore thier data *

Problrm Solved
Its been a long time since I posted this thread but not too late to inform the community with the final outcome. It was really easy to get my phone alive as it only required FACTORY RESET which i did in the recovery mode and thats it. I didnt forget to make a back up prior to that. But I.decided to continue with the fresh state however i did get a few apps as they were before the reset.

In the mounts and storage area of CWM it should show a UMMU format. I'm on my phone so I can't put to much detail, but I posted a more detailed explanation in the development thread that should help you out.
Thank you for your effort of keeping the development thread clean.

is there anyway we can add a chinese language for the system?
I know many people don't put much faith in benchmarks, but they have to measure something right?
That said, ~3700 on 3 run average. Using out of box SD Card.
It's smooth, and no problems yet (except for known "buddies" FC).

Looks great, love the theme. Can you put some sort of indicator on the bottom when you drag the notification pane down? Plain black matches the bezel, and I keep losing it lol. Love the keyboard.
Shutdown still reboots, and I think it may need a battery stat wipe, but I've burned 5% typing this. (Thanks for the % icon )
It's quick, isn't running "hot". But this phone always feels to warm anyway. Everything else is great, more insight on battery life tomorrow.

Ok efs in desktop is optional just as a precaution.
Mounts just set them as I mentioned. The idea behind ummu is that before ur supposed to see unmount in front of the word assigned.
Factory reset is tje option in the top menu of cwm recovery .
Formatting system will erase everything in ur phone making it unbootable if u exit cwm so flash rom before u exit.
And as long as u have rom on sdcard u can flash it

I would start the process from Recovery Mode. I would go to the section called Mounts/Storage first and format system. Then I would Unmount System and Unmount Cache. Then go back to the first screen in Recovery and find Wipe Data/Factory Reset. After you are done that, flash the ROM
done now i am waiting to see how it goes.

Which ROM did you download, it is possible you grabbed the first version that was not themed. Please use the link below

help needed for cm9.1...

thanq for viewing ma thread.. i moderate noob cz i researched many things about rooting, flashing, etc., but still i have some confusions..
basically i rooted my htc explorer with jaggy rooting tutorial. so now i want to flash with [DEV][ROM][ICS][4.0.4][IMM76L]Unofficial CyanogenMod 9.1 for Pico Build#9 {3/11/2012} rom.. buti have somedoubts pls kindly clarify me..
1. is there any problem with cm9.1. i read that it drain in half a day even in normal use.. is that true..
2. now i have Yannou's recovery..can i flash thru that..
3. before flashing should i partition ma sd card or can we do dat after flashin?? if i should do partition which is best ext2/3/4 or fat32. now ma sd card isnt partitioned once also. so can i do before flashing then after have to move cm9.1 rom zip file to sd card.
4. i read that partition can also be done with recovery menu.. is that true. if yes. how to do that.. i read partition for s2e(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1859691- here) what about link2sd.. can we partion for link2sd by(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29724634&postcount=3 ) with that can we do.. will it work for cm9.1.
5. i read instruction for for flashing cm9.1 rom. there are two different methods which one to follow.
Installation
First time installing CyanogenMod 9 to your Htc Explorer/Pico, or coming from another ROM:
- Make sure you're running a proper working ClockworkMod-Recovery
- Copy GApps and CM9 ZIPs to your SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- Flash CM9 zip from SDCard
- Flash GApps zip from SDCard
- DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET (otherwise your device will be stuck at boot)
- Reboot
- Don't restore data using Titanium Backup! they might cause FC's
- Restoring Apps + Data might cause problems and is not recommended, avoid it if possible! (metioned in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=29938916) or (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33608084&postcount=2897).
please help me.. waitin for ua valuble reply..
Guide
Hey there
1. The battery life depends on how you use your phone. If you’re connected to a 3G network all day while playing or watching videos, the battery won’t last that long. For casual everyday use, the battery is great. I didn’t charge it for 2 days once
2. Yes, you can flash through yannou’s recovery but it would be ideal if you flash CWM recovery since it’s recommended. If you partition your sd card, it will be automatically formatted so its best if you back up your data, partition the sd card and then copy all the files. You can partition using CWM and then install Link2sd which, when opened, it will prompt you with the file system of your sd ext. Choose ext3 and reboot. The partition itself isn’t needed for cm9.1 but you can you a2sd scripts if you’re partitioned.
3. To flash it, download the rom and gapps. Put them in the sdcard. Then boot into recovery, wipe data/factory reset, go to advanced -> wipe dalvik. Then install zip from sd card and find the rom. After you flash the rom, flash the gapps and reboot. Give it a few minutes since the first boot takes some time. And there you go

No, no, stick with yannou's! Official cwm sometimes give's mounting issues with our phone, and sometimes if you drain fully your battery you'll get in to adventure.
Yes flashing process is the same, basikly everything is the same as cwm
Install ROM Manager on your phone and the first option should be to install Clockworkmod Recovery. Follow the instructions on screen. I'd use yannou's recovery though.
Yes, the instructions are the same for yannou's recovery.
And yes, I've used cm9.1 for over 2 months. I'm using HTC sense 4.0a rom by derefas right now

its depends upon Ur need man. If Ur going to use internal memory increasing script u must have an 2nd partition in Ur SD card. ext2/3/4 is depend upon the memory script and ROM Ur going to use..
My Suggestion:
Try m2sd script with ext4 partition its work like a charm.. but i read from some post ext4 will damage SD sooner. but perform better. i am always need performance. but i am sure that till now no damage or performance issue occurred in my SD card as well as phone.
before or after partition is ur choice when u need partition u do it. But some ROM need 2nd partition while flashing be careful on that but cm9.1 doesn't need any support from sd card

1.copy Ur ROM and GAPPS zip to ur SD-card
2.wipe all the partition data,cache,system,dalvik,etc... except SD-card
3.install ROM zip then install GAPPS zip.
4.Then reboot..
5.wait until u get the home screen.. first boot take some time so be patient
6.After that leave Ur phone for a minute then once again restart Ur phone.
7. final but important click thanks to the Developer and other who help u to install the ROM successfully..
this instruction is for clean installation this will never lead Ur device to problem

thanq u all.. but i have some clarification about partiton only.. can anybody give me guide about partitons for CM9.1 . which is best, simple and error free, wheather to go partition then flashing or flashing then partition.. and plz give me guide thru recovery.. and where its pre or post flashing.. pls do needful..
edit :
im unable to figure it out abot s2e scripts, int2sd scripts.. so please tell me actually what are those and how the linked with ext2/3/4 partitioms..
Its simple if ur using recovery for partition u will lose all the data in SD card. So use mini partition wizard tool for make partition.. after or before flashing is does not matter if u going to add memory script then partition memory card... then add the rom zip then flash it..

As much as i remember, Older builds of CM9.1 had battery drain problems. It has been rectified in the latest builds (Aleast have been rectified in build 10 and 11)
I say you go for CM9.1 Build 11 by ayushrox. I am using it right now. I run my phone with extensive Music usage for 1 and half to 2 days. I have once kept my phone running without charge for 3 days. Right now as i type, i am off the charger for 12 hours, still i have 55% battery remaining, this is good for me, as i use an always on internet.
I never used CWM. I use a different recovery (i dont know its name), and i flash using it successfully.
I use Link2SD with a partition i made BEFORE the installation. I use Minitool Partition Wizard to create partitions. It is for Windows.
I always ask people to do a clean install. This would eradicate any issues in the future.

When you create a partition in your memory card, open Link2SD. Link2SD will ask you the partition type, select and tap ok. The app creates mount script by itself.
Link2SD is a 500KB app at the Play Store.

I never used Mount2SD and never will, cos link2sd works well for me.
Here is what i did:
1. Partition microSD with format ext2. (I used Minitool Partition Wizard for this. A freeware program for Windows)
2. Insert it in the phone, download Link2SD from Play Store.
3. Open Link2SD, it will prompt you to select your partition type. Select ext2.
4. Link2SD will create a mount script and ask you to restart the phone. Do so.
5. After restart, go back to Link2SD, press menu button to open menu.
6. Open "Settings". Make sure "Auto link" is ticked.
7. Exit Link2SD, do a restart.
Thats it! now whenever i install an app, Link2SD sends it to the partition automatically.
Sometimes you may get a phone memory full notification. In that case power off your phone and on it again.
EDIT: all this was done with CM9.1 previously installed.
So what are steps to install cm9.1.
Is it necessary to clear dalvik cache.

[solved] [Q] Flashing the stock firmware again

Hello everyone,
I have a Galaxy R and to get root access, I just flashed ARDATDAT's kernel, but via Odin, without installing CWM. Later I found out that the method is obsolete, and now I have the yellow triangle in my boot screen. Later, I installed CWM also.
Now, I am not able to get the official ICS update because of that. The phone settings -> about phone show the following :
Model Number - GT-I9103
Android Verison - 2.3.5
Baseband version - I9103DDKH4
Kernel Version - [email protected] #76
Build number - GINGERBREADXWKI5
I want to flash the stock firmware again in order to get the ICS update. I downloaded the stock firmware for my phone (I am not sure if I have downloaded the correct firmware, It'll be helpful if some of you Gurus confirm that... )
from this page :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1861359 : the firmware I downloaded says :
Android Version: 2.3.5
Country: India
Region: Europe
Carrier: Unbranded
Build Date: 17th September 2011
PDA: XWKI5
Modem: DDKH4
CSC: ODDKH4
Is this the correct firmware? I live in India, and the XWKI5 also matches with the build number in my phone settings, so I downloaded this.
Now, In the guide to flash stock firmware on xda here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1406664 , it is shown that volume down + home button + power button will make the device enter download mode. However, after trying a lot of times, it is not happening. Is it because I installed CWM? I have also installed CWM app on phone. When I choose enter download mode from that, after reboot, my cell just shows the first screen shown in the tutorial, saying "Downloading... Do no turn off target !!" After that, none of the volume up/down/home/power key presses seem to have any effect. I have to reboot the cell to normal mode after long pressing the power key...
I want to go to the next screen of showing 'Warning!! A custom OS can...." but that screen doesn't appear at all...
Thank you in advance...
You downloaded the wrong firmware buddy. Here's the link to the Official Indian ICS Stock ROM.
Regarding download mode, make sure that the phone is not connected to PC via usb cable while entering download mode using Vol down + Home + Power.
EDIT: Resetting the download counter/yellow triangle is not easy. I guess you'll have to live with that. Just ignore it.

1. In the method you are using to get "Downloading..do not turn off target" screen is actually download mode itself.
NO WARNING PAGE WILL COME, SO PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THE BATTERY AND RESTART YOUR PHONE.
Just insert the USB cable and start flashing via odin.
2. You dont need to press any volume up key to continue or anything to see that Warning page. Because warnings are only given beforehand and not after you have automatically continued.
And FYI the key pressing thing to continue after the warning page will lead you to this screen only
3. As far as you are concerned with the REGULAR WAY of entering the download mode...
WHICH WILL SHOW YOU THE WARNING PAGE AND YOU WILL HAVE TO PRESS VOLUME UP KEY TO CONTINUE...
4. For getting in the download mode in the normal way LONG press the "volume down+home+power button" you will be able to enter it.
5. CWM has nothing to do with the download mode..so relax..nothing got corrupt because indirect way of entering download mode is working.
So enter the download mode by any of the ways aboveand start flashing.
6. Buddy ICS is android version 4.0.4, download any version, preferable XWLP2 Poland rom, because it is the most updated one and the latest one too.
7. You dont need to download Gingerbread (android version 2.3.5) in order to get the official ICS update. XDA has the list of official firmwares for a download and flash procedure
So download any android version 4.0.4 official firmware!!!![
8. For flashing please read our Recognised Helper P hope it does not offend you vikesh.) kataria.vikesh's post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1983262
9. For getting rid of the flash counter/yellow triangle....Try the app triangle away..
But i dont think it is compatible with our device..still give it a try
I hope this post helps you..

Thanks a lot DeepankarS, the post really helped clear a lot of doubts in my mind, because it feels a bit risky while flashing your phone for the first time..
I will try the ICS stock mod link given above by droidster. I have taken a 'user apps + system data' backup with Titanium backup pro on my external SD. Also, I have backed up my contacts on the same. Is this enough? I have heard that there are things like clearing the cache etc, so will I lose any important data even with backing this much up? Sorry, but just want to clear things before I do any mess...
Re: [Q] Flashing the stock firmware again
Good question. You had to make the flash witih the good firmware. There is a way for sure. You have to find it.

Cache wont make you lose any data
and yeah this much backup is enough.
And yes do one thing more...
Once you properly install ICS and CWM, Take a CWM backup of your device..
You can never lose your data then (data at that particular point of backup)
So if you have CWM backup, you can freely, without any problems flash any custom rom via CWM.
So even if something goes wrong while flashing a custom rom, you can restore via CWM.
And buddy always remember these things.
1. ODIN (any version) is to be used just for flashing STOCK Roms and CWM.
2. Never Flash a CUSTOM Rom via ODIN (until and unless stated) . It will brick your device. You have CWM to flash stock roms so dont worry.
3. Never factory reset your device while being on stock kernel, it might activate your brick bug.
Just after flashing stock ICS, download eMMC Brick Bug App to check for brick bug, then only proceed with the factory reset part.
4. For any problems, you always have XDA

Thanks a lot! Did not know that ODIN is used only to flash custom ROMs! I have already installed CWM on my phone using ODIN. I had tried to take a backup using CWM, but then I just cant find the backup files. My System storage had got almost full after I took the backup, and I tried to find the backup file, to move it to external SD, but I simply wasn't able to locate it...so freed some storage space by deleting apps. That's why I took a backup via Titanium Backup this time.... Should I try taking a backup via CWM again??

Search once in ur Internal SD.. I experienced this once when i took the backup when CWM showed me "Not enough space", it took Internal SD as backup location and it stored everything in Internal SD.. Well, same directory but internal SD.. So look there once, also make sure you have atleast 1.5GB - 2GB free in any of ur SD storage to take CWM backup.. It requires that much of space..

Backing up system...
Backing up data...
No /sdcard.android_secure found. Skipping backup of applications on externam storage.
Backing up cache...
No sd-ext found. Skipping backup of sd-ext.

Buddy that depends on the amount of apps, files and data you have.
So..1.5-2 GB not necessary
Plus selection matters..so..
Why to generalise!!

First of all...thanks a lott for your constant answers and prompt help...
Okay...formatting sdcard means settings->storage->format SD card?? currently the option is disabled...do I first need to unmount it?? Then it will be enabled?? Also, what data will I lose after doing it?? (I know formatting will erase all data on sdcard...but don't know what all data exactly is there on sdcard....is there any possibility of bricking my cell in this ??)

[Q] I finally rooted my HTC explorer, what now?

what made me root my explorer was the fact of the low internal memory and i after i found out i could use a partition on my sd card to use as internal memory i started to search for more info.
But its too confusing what ROM do i use if i need one how to setup the partitions etc.
what do they mean to wipe everything before inserting a new rom do they mean the phone the sd card.
I could use some help lol
thx in advance
brigas
Partition your sd card and create ext 2/3/4 partition using mini partition tool in computer.
Wiping everything means to format everything thing like cache partition, dalvik cache, system, boot, data partition SD ext ..... In recovery.
Don't format SD card.
Here you can select ROMs, scripts, kernels and tutorials for much more.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1754876
Hit "THANKS". If this helped.
yeah i am currently checking that thread i used one of the links to root my phone. but now i kinda nervous on doing the next steps. i already did a backup of my sd card and my rom i think with the ClockworkMod recovery, So correct me if im wrong the next steps are:
Delete data from sd card and partition it into 4 partitions. with that partition mini tool
do a factory reset on the phone( i suppose is how u wipe everything)
and then use recovery to put the new Rom of my choosing.
is this right?
Follow this for creating ext partition.
Create only Only one ext partition.
http://www.noypigeeks.com/android/tutorial-a-guide-to-link2sd/
For flashing ROM, follow the instructions given on the thread of the ROM.
Basic method is
Reboot into recovery.
Format/wipe data
Wipe cache
Wipe dalvik cache in advance(menu)
Format SD ext, system, boot, in mounts and storage.
Now select install zip from SD card/chose zip from SD card/navigate to your ROM's directory/select it and yes to confirm.
Wait. After it says install from SD card completed. Reboot the phone.
You are done.
First boot of every ROM may take a little long. Wait and don't panic.
Some ROMs needs mounting ext, data, cache etc. Check the thread for that. I hope it'll help to get started.
Hit "THANKS". If this helped.
thx a lot man. Finally an explanation i can follow, thanks a lot guy i really appreciate it.

I Am using flyROM v3 here. But I suggest not to go with it as it lags and have random reboots.
I suggest use jaggy ROM by jaggy/danceoff.
If you've rooted your phone using jaggy's tutorial, you are already on "yannou's recovery". This recovery is perfect. No issues At all but you can change it to TWRP for touch support and some more features. But I suggest be on yannou's recovery.(because some are having problems with TWRP flashing sense 4 ROMs )

cool guys i did it. thx for all the help, i sucessfully Put jaggy ROM working. Now that i understand the process involved should i try and a better rom v4? what apps are cool for rooted phones?
Now after getting some sense about flashing. You can try other ROMs as well. Just wipe everything and flash.
Use titanium backup, root explorer, must have apps for rooted one.
Hit "THANKS". It encourages me.
Try
Cm 9,1 build11 man
or
cm9 Xperia fusion (Looks great)
This is best for u start with lag less Rome

[Q] weird internal storage issue

Hi guys,
I tried the CM 10 beta 6 build yesterday. I used INT2EXT+ by putting it into the rom zip. All went fine. When i flashed super stripped JB gapps zip, I got a bootloop. Nevertheless, I went into recovery (TWRP 2.4.1.0), removed the EXT partition, wiped everything down and reverted back to stock rom. However, I noticed, as soon as I booted it up, without setting up any accounts, I got only 65 MB of free internal storage whereas I usually get 112 MB. I can't figure out what's eating up the rest of it. I flashed CWM, wiped down everything, reset factory settings, reflashed the stock rom, still it shows up as 65 MB of free space. Any ideas on what might have gone wrong and / or any solutions to it ?
I would recommend you use either CM10 beta #5 or Mini CM10 without any script. This ROMs gives you around 150MB of internal storage without using any scripts plus the over all smoothness is awesome.Flash any of these ROMs and you won't face any memory problems.
And,how did you remove EXT partition? Make sure you remove it using your PC and card reader.
---------- Post added at 03:41 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:36 PM ----------
And if you really want more internal memory than just make a EXT partition flash any of the CM9 ROMs and than flash Mount2SD zip file (reboot twice)

In TWRP you can remove the EXT partition by going to Advanced -> partition SD Card -> set ext size to 0, swap to 0.
Anyway, what I'm concerned about is, I used a script to move things to the SD Card, the same script that works with AOKP JB RC3 by ayushrox.
But something went haywire yesterday, and the ROM kept telling me the SD card has been damaged, I formatted it via TWRP and removed the EXT partition, now the SD card is working fine, but the internal memory is getting eaten up even though I wiped EVERYTHING via CWM 5.0.2.8 as well.

well, that shouldn't matter, should it ? considering i wiped EVERYTHING from recovery. whatever was being stored on the internal memory should have been wiped as well. I am currently on the stock GB ROM and it is still showing 65 MB free whereas I used to get 112 MB free. It was fine if i was getting low internal on CM 10 because of the /data/dalvik-cache, but I'm on the stock ROM and it is still showing me half of what i used to get free. And even if a kernel was flashed as a part of the ROM flashing process, it should have been replaced by the default HTC kernel when I flashed the stock ROM.
Update : I wiped the dalvik with TWRP again, and it wiped 3 dalvik cache directories, /data/dalvik-cache, /cache/dalvik-cache and one other, how do i get rid of them and go back to the regular way of things ? Or are there always 3 dalvik directories ?

Don't know where the Apps2SD is coming from on the SD Card.
I have three apps installed right now, whatsapp, playerpro and es file explorer, of which playerpro and es have been moved to the SD Card. With all these three apps installed I used to get 88 MB free and now its showing 38.6 MB free. I'm missing 50 MB somewhere
There's your missing 68 MB.
I don't know what's that 60 MB, which is occupying there.
And ofcourse there's no file occupying that space..
Try installing more apps and try to fill up free space and let's see if the system data reduceS.

And if you move app to SD card it goes to apps2SD folder in /SD card (namely. Android_secure folder )

And also, how did you restore apps?
I think it's not supposed to be like that
~there should be no application like that. It should be divided into /apk data and dalvik..
What Rom are you using and what script?

I installed Opera and picsart studio, now I got 1 MB internal storage free and a message popped up warning me of low internal storage. System Data keeps increasing.
EDIT : just rescanned in DiskUsage and now its showing 14.2 MB free. what the hell is going on ?! (I even got a popup on here telling me to wait 2 minutes between posts, so on rescanning within those two minutes, i got 14.2 mb of free space). I can't seem to upload another screen in edit mode. Uploading in another reply.

So I guess, you're right about your hunch - install more apps, the system data seems to be shrinking. Will install more and report back. But how do I get this back to normal ?
Update : tried installing facebook. A heavy app. adb gave me this - Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_INSUFFICIENT_STORAGE] . So I guess, system data isnt shrinking anymore
Custom ROMs (CM9, 10, AOKP JB RC 3) show me the correct amount of available space somehow. The stock which I always relied on seems to fail in doing so suddenly.
No bro.. custom Roms also have this system data ,it is some kind of buffer to keep apps installed and I think it'll have some non specific keys, date, time etc.
But I guess something is wrong with your installation of apps.
How do you install apps and what memory script?

On a clean install, i use adb to install es file explorer then just transfer other apk files on to sd card and install using es.
Yesterday, i put INT2EXT+ into the CM10 build 6 zip and installed it. It worked fine, then when i flashed super stripped gapps, i got bootloop. So I said screw it, back to stock it is. And so far, it has worked for me. But as soon as I reverted back to stock yesterday, I found this internal storage problem. So I flashed AOKP JB RC3 by ayushrox and it showed me 97 mb free after installing gapps and didn't get a bootloop.:crying: By clean install, I mean, on flashing stock.

I would suggest mount2SD.
And try cm 10 b6 without overclocked kernel.
But still ..usually waiting a day would probably resolve this issue.
Don't use adb 2 ,install any app

this is a screenshot from DiskUsage on AOKP JB RC3 after installing gapps. without gapps, it takes up even less space obviously. So this problem seems to be only with the stock rom for some reason. I guess the INT2EXT+ and CM 10 mucked things up somehow which isnt letting stock function properly. I'm staying on this one as long as I can't figure out how to get the stock working properly. And I didn't even know there was an overclocked version of CM10 till today. I downloaded the build 6 from the first page. It didn't say anything about an overclocked kernel. Now the question is what got mucked up ?

Hi guys,
I tried the CM 10 beta 6 build yesterday.

OK. So any way back from that ? I read on the CM 10.1 forum that only overclock causes nand burn. All I did was flash the ROM. Never overclocked anything on my phone till date.
Update : on searching I found cute_prince's tutorial. Have followed that and have flashed stock. Let's see what happens. Fingers crossed.
Update : EPICNESS ! Thanks a ton DanceOff ! and cute_prince ! and also ptcpayme for all the prompt replies. I now have my original 112 MB free internal back.

Congrats ~so it was burnt nand after all. So, Beta 6 produces burnt nand without overclocking.
Tell me, during the recovery procedure, did you get any errors I/O ?

If you're correct, then I also burnt nand in cm 10 b5 about 10 MB
