Jelly Bean Stock Keyboard Chinese? - General Questions and Answers

Just curious, I have a Nexus 4 and the stock keyboard looks really nice, but it doesn't has Chinese input? Right now, I'm using TouchPal, which is fun because it has the speedometer which checks how fast the user types, but I would like to know if I can use the stock keyboard to type Chinese or have Handwriting.
and also, when i use my earphones on my rooted neo v, the bass is really strong, but its not that strong when i use it on my N4...

Actually there's no native Chinese keyboard on Android, at least I've never seen such one.
The only official Chinese imput is Google Pinyin IME(Google拼音輸入法).

I'm a Chinese and I also use Baidu Input on Jelly Bean.

ok thanks

multi touch keyboard

Hey saw this on engadget, and was wondering............ since the screen size is the same, when released will it be as simple as transfer apk to evo for multi touch keyboard.
here is the link to the "review" of the droid x with multi touch keyboard and swype keyboard built in
http://www.engadget.com/2010/06/15/exclusive-motorola-droid-x-preview/
I was just about to ask the same thing. I hope we can, looks like something id like to try!
I was wondering the same thing.
On that note, "Smart Keyboard Pro" on Android Market(not free) also has multi touch enabled keyboard
Its Swype, the guys will probably have it as soon as they get the Apk on their hands.

Keyboard very slow on cyanogenmod 10.1

Hello, i'm new in this forum, i'm from spain, sorry, my english doesn't very good jeje
well, in my Desire S, i had a rom with sense and the keyboard runs very fast but in cyanogen roms the keyboard is very very VERY slow.
The rom is very fast and smooth but the keyboard kills me.
I don't know if I have the problem or if is a problem of the roms cyanogen.
I download the swift X keyboard, and the speed is better than the original cyanogen keyboard but not is equal than the speed of keyboard in sense roms
Why?
Thank you
(the rom is : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1903496 )
You should probably file a bug report there.
Its always been like this. Not too sure why

hi! i have CM10.1 in my desire s and i use swiftkey 3 and it's work fine is speed is like a normal keybord i suggest to tri it:fingers-crossed:
I have Pacman v19.3 (CM 10) and I use Swype.
Speed is good in my opinion, except the time necessary to load the keyboard the first time after a reboot (I think it takes at least 10-15 seconds).
Try another keyboard, swiftkey seems convincing...
And, the stock keyboard is really small..

Found a good pocketable keyboard for the Z

Its a regional rebrand of the softtouch s1
Its an nfc keyboard. Its litte bit squishy but far supperior to any other pocketabke keyboard i have tried so far its split in the middle (Nfc to connect with the device) works like a charm, only wish my note had nfc. this post is one of the first things I have written with this but allready i can type faster then the allready fast on-screen keyboard.
it is missing a dedicated numbers row but all the android specific keys work like a charm. One2touch.no is the website of these guys.
as i live in norway i am quite limited when it comes to the selection of keyboards supporting local characters.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1594642 This is the best I can find. I also love to have Sense Keyboard, but this mod don't have my language (Vietnamese) so I haven't tried it. You can try it and report the result :highfive:.
If it doesn't work for you, try to stay with Smart Keyboard from the Play Store, it's HTC theme is quite nice . In fact, I'm using Smart Keyboard, very fast, good prediction/ correction and very lightweight on RAM. It rarely use more than 10MB of RAM, and I love that fact since we have very limited RAM .

[Q] hardware QWERTY keyboard

Hi
Does anyone know if there's a new phone (or will be) with a hardware QWERTY keyboard? (Slide)
Not sure about new ones, but if I were you I'd consider a bluetooth one - that way you can get any phone and just connect the keyboard when you need it and not be limited.
The ones out now are kind of second-rate. Check out the search features on sites like GSM Arena to see what's out there.
I originally wanted a phone with physical keyboard, but with SwiftKey I think I actually type faster onscreen.
