Hey everyone! So my brother was playing on my phone last night and the phone died coz it ran outta battery and now it wont turn on. I rooted the phone completely 2 days ago. Can someone please help me out? I tried charging the phone for hours but still didnt work. Will the phone turn on if I get another battery? Or is there any other way to solve this? Thank you!
This has happened to me too. I pulled the battery and then it seems to boot fine.

Yeah I tried doing the second step but that didn't work. I don't have a spare cable or an external charger to do the first step.

Hi guys,
I've run into some problems, I installed Android Revolution HD 6.5 two days ago. Everything worked like a charm, now I shutted down my phone to go in recovery, sadly enough my phone won't reboot, does not charge nor does it respond to my desperate pushes on the power button. Anyone experienced anything like this?
Worth mentioning also is that the battery was 80+% charged.. So it would seem strange to me that this would anything to do with eventual dead battery.
Just to be clear: hadn't installed anything, nothing less, nothing more.
If I could just get acces to bootloader through usb or anything like this.
I fear that there is someting seriously wrong here?
What are you guys thinking? Any possible solutions?
Hi,
The same thing more or less happened to me.
My phone went dead one night and wouldnt turn on, charge or connect with the PC. I had already arranged a repair with HTC for another issue and so I sent it off to them and a few days later I now have it back and it is working fine so far.
They replaced the mainboard and a few other bits and pieces all under warranty.
I hope you get your phone fixed and sorted asap.

Hi,
Is there any chance the battery pins could be damaged or bent?
Is there any way for you to get hold of another battery(from a shop or friend) and try that?
I will test the battery in the laboratory tomorrow.. I've read you should get a minimum of 3.6V or something like that? Curious to see what has caused this problem. Do you think htc would see I flashed a custom rom on it if I send it to repair?

Hi,
That is why i suggest a different battery.
If they can switch it on,they will see the s-off.
If they cannot,it does not matter.

They don't use a JTAG unit or anything like that to see what has went wrong than I presume? Well, first thing I'll do is test it right away at the laboratory. I will post the result in the evening.

My sensation was rooted and had a custom ROM on, but I was preparing to send the phone back in when it got bricked. I had managed to install stock rom and do S-on but the phone had an unlocked bootloader using HTC dev website, so I was worried they wouldnt do the repair.
As it happens they did all the work under warranty and didnt say/ mention having unlocked bootloader. It has come back locked though.
Was anybody able to find a fix for this?
My sensation 4g has basically the same problem. After rooting and installing ICS it worked fine for a few days then it ceased booting or responding to a charger (no LED response). I was able to turn on the phone again by letting it sit for a while but no luck lately. I'm wondering if my phone is bricked?
When I press the power button the screen stays black with lights on (no LED).
I can't get into bootloader and the phone is not detected by ADB, I tried the unbricking project thread by Dexter, however my phone is not detected by linux. On windows, i did get it to detect as qhsusb_dload.
Any thoughts would be helpful!
Thanks

If your getting QHSUSB DLOAD I'm so sorry to tell you as I believe your device is HARD BRICKED. You can try jtag. If you search there are several companies who will jtag. I'm wishing you the best and I'm sorry about your device.

I had to return my HTC Sensation to the repair center. Apparently the motherboard just fried. I got a new motherboard and just S-OFFed the phone again. Very weird problem though. As has been said in this post earlier, if they can't turn on the device they won't see it is S-OFFed and your warranty will apply.
Hello guys , i got big problem. When i setted up inspiration rom after elegancia using , after 6 hours of phone using , my display just dont work(dead). When phone is booting it dont show htc screen , nothing. I need brick my phone till end because of warranty in my country. If they will see that i got rooted , custom rom , hboot etc. theyll say that is my fault. Is there option how i can mess it up till i cant turn it on , or plug to pc.
I did it with my lg p500 when i flashed .kdz file i just unpluged phone , and it was dead , without sign marks. Is there this kind of brick for senny?
Hope for sughestions , and sorry for my language knowladge
Faithfully , Berils.
anyone guys ? I need suggestions till tomorow. someone ?
You could probably fix it yourself
try following these instructions
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1522351
And also don't try and break it any further because once HTC have plugged it in and got it running they will diagnose it, and that will say that your phone is rooted.
The only way to make the phone fully unoperational is to burn out the motherboard.

just send it in rooted, its a hardware problem, if they say ur warranty is void, just kick up a fuss...
in the past some warranty repairs have been honoured by HTC despite phone being rooted - if it is clearly a hardware failure.
i can think of ways to mess up the device without leaving a trace (easy), but its probably best not to give suggestions here.
i cant find this kind of problem at google... noone got dead screen , but working touchscreen , and buttons. very strange. if some1 got suggestion ,pleae guys share it.
ty for all help.
I had the same problem today. Had it once before in march. Happened on elegancia first and now today on inspiration.. it is obviously a hardware problem.
The color on the screen gets weird. Touch works perfect. Then screen goes black. The touch still works. Display comes back after 2 or 3 hours. Haven't gotten time to get it checked.

Hi Guys, so apologies in advance for not knowing exactly what I'm talking about but I've got a problem with my htc one x
So last night i updated my phone, and it asked me to plug it in as I had low battery. This I did. I went to bed and when i woke up this morning the phone was dead. It was still plugged in though so I dont think it ran out of battery. I turned the phone on and it came up on the white htc quietly brilliant screen and wont progress any further.
i read a few forums and im not entirely sure how bad it is so I dont want to start fiddling without asking. any advice is great
Is it the HTC One X (Endeavoru) or the HTC One XL / at&t One X (Evita)?

Did you try to powerdrain and to restart again?
Or check with the manufacturer.

What do you mean by powerdrain? Discharging the device? I wouldn't suggest doing that on a device that's refusing to boot.
