played with newest batch of tabs and wamt to know about gyro

The last night I played with a brand new g tab at the office depot. the manager said it was just sent to them a few days ago they put it out brand new per viewsonic and removed the old unit. Anyways I was very impressed because the touchscreen actually works wonderfully on this 1. I install the latest firmware and rooted it in the store and play with it for a little while. however my question is I'm debating whether to buy the galaxy tablet or the g tab have an wanted to get opinion on the gyro in it as I have not been able to pick 1 up and play with it and wanted to know comparing it to the galaxy tablet how well the gyro works with games or if it even has that technology I have played with the galaxy tablet and it is extremely percise when turning the unit.
I've got labyrinth lite on my gtab, and the gyro sensors work great on it, didn't have to calibrate or anything. Thats about the only motion game I use. Adw launcher is very quick and snappy when rotating the screen
I've tried Raging Thunder lite from market on my Gtab (stock), and it's pretty responsive... enough to get into 3rd place ...
Is there something on the box that indicates whether the device is a newer or older build??? I'd like to check this out.
I was wondering what the model number was too? Thank you! There have been reports of a new model floating around.
I'm not sure but I know if a new model Does anyone have hands on with the g pad and a galaxy with using the gyros
There are issues with the gyroscope/accelerometer unfortunately. I'm not sure if its the problem with the gtab or issues with the specific games. Many games are optimized for accelerometers from phones and those don't gel well with the gtab.
Raging thunder 1 and asphalt for example has issues. Try raging thunder lite (free). You'll see that you are not able to turn properly. You're supposed to turn by tilting left and right but the game wont do that properly on the gtab. It will turn left and right in game by tilting forwards or backwards.
Raging thunder 2 though will turn correctly though.
Does someone think this could be similar to the calibration of the touch screen, that there may be an easy way to calibrate for the gyroscope/accelerometer?

The Bards Tale - Xperia Edition

I purchased this game ages ago. But now noticed this.

I am a little annoyed. Its only perk is xperia users get 6k gold. But only if you buy this version. I love this game but annoyed we have to rebut it to get this gold perk. Why not just give it to xperia users who bought the original.

Damnit, one of the only games I have actually bought and they do this :L
Then I'll stick with my beloved emulation from now on xD
There are more games like this, i've noticed Mini Motor Racing has an Xperia version too. I've found this out after I upgraded to Sony Xperia P and then I clicked on "Sony" in Google Play. I have no idea why they're doing this but I am not paying twice for the same game just because it says Xperia in the title. Btw I've gone back to Xperia Play after a short time with P, was rather disappointed with that one, mainly due to some of my games being incompatible.
What is thaty gold used for? Is it in-game gold, used to buy items, potions, etc. or is it some IAP gold for cosmetics?
If it's in-game then why would you even want that, it's practically a money cheat to make the game easier. Doesn't seem like a legit reason to get annoyed about.

They're doing it for users who don't own the games. In the forum where I was listing all the Xperia exclusive sales I picked up a bunch of the games since I had not owned them and thought they looked entertaining enough to buy at a discounted price.
That's the consequence of shelling out dollars too early. I bought the Xperia Edition just 10 days ago and I am very satisfied. Good thing I didn't buy the other version.

The hourglass is the space between the two analogue/touchpad controls. Give it a gentle tap and see what happens
The hourglass is the touch-sensitive area between the left and right touchpads. Tapping it cycles your map view between OFF, ROUND on UPPER RIGHT, and FULL MAP.

[Q] I need help buying my first tablet

Hi everyone, I made an account to this forum to ask some questions before investing money on to a tablet.
The tablet I've set my eyes on is the "ALL FINE FINE7 Air 16gb", finding any information whatsoever on this tablet is extremely difficult, mostly because of the name I believe. This tablet is around 115 US dollars, and supposedly comes with Jellybean 4.1.
I was wondering if investing money on this thing was a good idea, I'm really worried that I'll buy one and it'll end up with a dead battery, end up being slow, or the screen might be bad, etc.
There's only one video in the entire internet I could find on this tablet too. (just google the name and it'll come up)
It's either this tablet, or save up a little more to get a Nexus 7. Now, most people would ask, "why would you choose a chinese tablet over a Nexus 7?". Well, that's because of two reasons, first of all, this thing has a camera in the front AND in the back, and I need the two of them for video chatting, and second, I am an avid gamer, infact I don't do much of anything else on android devices other then play games, and the Mali400 Mp that this tablet is carrying, is either more powerful then the Nexus 7 GPU, or is better optimized.
And I'm worried that when I get the tablet, it won't be optimized for a lot of games, and I won't be able to play them.
So is it the chinese tablet or the nexus? Thanks!
Allfine? All fine!
I bought an Allfine 7 from Focalprice.com just to see if it is a good and reliable tablet. Mine is a 7 inch quad core.
The tablet came rooted and everything is working properly.
I don't have anyone else to ask, but the battery seems to drain in 4,5-5 hours when on WiFi.
Other than that applications that I am not allowed to install from Play Store, I install from Blackmart Alpha.
So, all fine for Allfine :good:
Cheers from Athens, Greece.

[Q] nexus 5- faulty devices

hello.. i would like to ask something because im terrified!! i have read for many faulty devices (Nexus 5) with problems (pixels, speakers, buttons, battery, dust) on many forums and sites. The number of faulty nexus 5 is very big for me, but is it something logical for the global market?
i mean, is this happening to other products or smartphones like samsung's or is it something absurd?
im terrified cause im from Greece and im gonna buy it from play store in uk through my cousin. but.. if this product has problems, i dont know if i could to return and replace it.. cause im not sure for google's policy and nexus' 5 warrranty. also the 15 calendar days deadline for RMA is smth that i probably don't missed.
any help and advice!
thanks in advance..

Ask your cousin to check the phone before shipping it to you.
Check that the phone:
-boots (There have been cases when it didn't boot at all)
-doesn't have dead pixels (there are apps on the play store for that)
-has everything secured in place
-doesn't have dead screen parts (development options- show touches)
-has a normal functioning speaker
-has a working camera (that focuses properly)
Your cousin can RMA it while it's still in the UK.

Black Shark 5 gamepad

Hello. Just got an BS5, After somes play tests, i Come to the conclusion than i need a gamepad for optimising some games.
But i cant not find any good compatible products, the official Brand seem to have stopped this kind of accessories some years ago with older models.
Btw the bs5 is to fat to stay safe with the "famous" Razer kishi v2 (already tested it)
If someone have a good Idea im all hear
Thanks you all!
